Went there for lunch with a coworker and we sat For over 15 minutes before even being acknowledged The only server was chatting with people from another table and couldn’t even bring us water We patiently waited until finally he came with a glass of water to take our order We placed our order and proceeded to wait again, 10 minutes went by and no sign of our food, 20 minutes and nothing At this point we were ready to leave, when the waiter comes to our table and tells us he forgot what we ordered. If we could remind him I complained and his answer was. I’ll just cancel your lunch. Rude dirty and plain awful way of dealing with the people that pay his salary We left. And then in my office heard from others that have had similar experiences Will never go again Not worth the aggregation When there are so many other great places in the area

This place is a fantastic. Went there for dinner tonight and had great service, food and wine. The custom art and table settings were warm and inviting. I got the eggplant and we ordered the calamari as an appetizer. Delish!

This is my first time here, but enjoyed sitting outside, very laid back and chill vibe. Music was relaxing and the vegetarian lasagna was amazing I give it 5 starts *****. The reason I gave them four star is because, the lemonade was really water down. It taste like cheap bottled corner store lemon juice, the sandwich which was a vegetarian sandwich was bland, dried and did not have any flavor. I wouldn’t order it again and last but not least the waitress barely spoke any English so it made really hard to communicate with her.

We always drive by and never go inside but today we broke the ice and it was amazing. We ordered the chicken milanesas and the Canellones. The service was amazing, the music, the temperature inside, the flavor or the food; my words fall short describing this place. It’s definitely on my favorite places in North Miami Beach list.

This place closed down after my original review. No surprise there. They’re trying too hard to make an impression, but it just doesn’t work. The decoration is sort of like a middle school art fair. No water before the meal. I had breakfast from their is basic menu, I could’ve made the same or better at home or picked it up from any, I mean any restaurant in the area end it will probably taste better. Service is… oh wait what service, they never checked to see if I need anything else. I wouldn’t recommend this place, unless you want to see some bad artwork. Anybody who goes to this restaurant twice enjoys being tortured.

I went there last night with my family, including my 2 young kids. We waited for 20 minutes without being offered water, drinks or bread. My husband raised his hand for a few minutes and the server avoided any eye contact. Right then the manager walks in the restaurant and my husband calls him. When my husband complained about the wait, the manager/owner said they were short one server and since they were not going to be able to serve us without the wait, he suggested we left the restaurant. So he basically kicked us out! No need to say we decided to walk away, despite my kids 4 and 7 crying(at point we were all starving). My husband, who works for a restaurant company, told the manager he’s never seen a situation so poorly handled. The manager’s response was«there is always a first time for everything» I’d like to make clear the restaurant had only 4 tables at the time, so even with one server, the wait is not justified, nevertheless the poor treatment. I would really recommend you stay away from this place. I have never seen customer service so poor in my life, across all industries! Update on 9.16 — I am attaching picture of the Unilocal message I received today. The content is beyond inappropriate and is written as a threat. I have only written one review on Unilocal in my entire life, and the message is taking some of the words I used to describe my poor experience in the restaurant. So it is clear the threat is coming from the restaurant management.

This place is located at west dixie hway in The aventura area. We came in as the reviews were not bad! Well, the place has a better setting than service our cuisine! Service was below average and food was on the very average side! I had the day plate which again at most average. The salad that came with it … Awful! We also ordered a vegetable soup… Really??? More a butter soup with NO vegetables! The quinoa veggie burger was the only interesting plate… Fried though, so more of a falafel than a burger! Décor is nice and the place is clean… They should improve the kitchen big time! There are several tables outside. Might be back in a couple of months to give them another chance… Enjoy

We stopped by here on a late afternoon after visiting the Spanish Monastery near by. The place was. empty when we visited and it had a vibe of a deli instead of a restaurant. We ordered the vegetable lasagna and this fish dish from the lunch menu. The vegetable lasagna had this creamy tomatoe sauce all over and inside with spinach. Very good and very filling. And the fish was served on a bed of mash potatoes and topped with a creamy spinach sauce. Very good as well and very filling. Portions were huge. At the end it got way too heavy and creamy for me that we couldn’t even finish our food Overall a good place. If I was ever in the area again, I would come back and try their seafood pasta with marinara sauce

For long periods, urban areas such as Buenos Aires, Rosario, and Córdoba welcomed European immigrants, including, above all, those of Italian and Spanish descent. Nevertheless, there was also a migratory flow of German, Swiss, and Middle-Eastern immigrants arriving in Argentina. Among the countless changes this melting pot brought was the enrichment of the culinary art. Dishes such as pasta, pizza, meats, offals, sausage, fried breaded steak and chicken, and a wide variety of pastries found their way to the hungry mouth. Luna Capresse has all of the above on a very small menu. In addition the owners have decorated this little deli/restaurant with a dash of color and a modern look. I was worrying about the avacado green wall and the effect on my stomach, but I was way off base. It’s charming and fits nicely with everything else in this wee Argentine oasis opposite the Spanish Monastery. The owners are charmers and have gone the fresh route. The food is splendid and the prices are extremely low. The check-in special( Unilocal) is a glass of wine and it’s not the usual rot gut; it didn’t burn the back of my throat… in fact it was not bad. I came down to North Miami Beach because of the review of one of my idols for the Spanish Monastery and then spotted a review from another friend about the Luna. I am so glad I decided to stop in instead of going elsewhere. The server was just delightful, the food so much better than I’ve had lately, the owners cordial, décor soothing; my God what more could a boy want. This is a spot where I shall be returning to again, for sure.

I know it is hard to screw up eggs and toast so why review breakfast… but, if you are like me and like your eggs cooked well but not dry… then here’s the spot! Loved the tostado! Oh, while some would say cheap, I say tastefully affordable… I am leaving with a full and happy tummy!

We just moved in the area & found this little gem close by! I had the veggie sandwich which is AMAZING. I can’t describe… I’ve been back a couple times. The place is painted this soothing green and they had some really great ambient music playing. I could have stayed there for hours. They serve breakfast and dinner as well — this is definitely the place we’ll be going to on a regular basis.

I went to this restaurant twice. The first time was a total«Don’t come again» experience, but the second one was a little better. The first visit was, on a Wednesday night, and we were a group of eight; we were the only one table in the place, which was completely run by one person: The server, who also managed to be the bus boy, food runner, dessert guy, barista, and of course the cashier. That scenario made the service(even if the guy was very nice) simply terrible but we can’t blame the nice sever but the owner for disappearing on his motorbike and leaving one person running his restaurant, probably to save payroll money(biggest restaurant owner’s mistake). We had to wait 20 minutes for a cheese and prosciutto table and another 25 for the food, which means that those who had no appetizers ordered waited 45 minutes for their food. We had to ask for bread and water refills twice or three times, sodas and wine came 10 minutes late. No more comments… When the food finally came, it was all cold; the skirt steak was was not cooked at the requested temperature and portion was very, very small; nothing was as expected based on other friends’ previous experiences. Unfortunately, since we waited so long for our food, we had to deal with that. The 8 people in the group agreed that it wasn’t good at all, except for the eggplant lasagna that was good. When I went to the bathroom, I saw the kitchen and realized that they had only one guy there and that was the answer to our question about how come this place was so slow and food wasn’t as mentioned by our friends, another rookie restaurant owner’s mistake though. The second visit, on a Saturday night was much better. They were 3 servers and a couple of bus boys/food runners and the place looked like a full teamed restaurant. The servers and staff, however, were disorganized and that’s because the lack of management on the floor. They were, as usual, very nice and attentive when they showed up eventually. The food came faster and was warm and the experience was better. Will I come again? Maybe, on a Friday or Saturday when they dare to hire more people in the kitchen and on the floor.

This is a cute place! I went here for breakfast and checked in for a small café con leche(it was very small but it was also free :)). I had the three eggs over easy, crispy bacon, breakfast potatoes with onions mixed in and Cuban toast. It was delish… the Cuban toast was nice and hot and the breakfast potatoes were the star… With the seasoning, crispness and the onions mixed in the flavor and taste were so on point! My mom had the cheese omelette and she said more cheese was needed and it was just ok. The hot chocolate she got she said was excellent(the fresh squeezed OJ was good too). I am looking forward to returning here and also trying their pastries and lunch/dinner items.

Found this place by accident driving down west dixie hwy. What a pleasant surprise., the place was lovely and beautifully decorated with outdoor seating. As a vegetarian I was thrilled with the vegetarian appetizer it was amazing. Our entrée was eggplant parmigiano and nicely presented in an authentic manner. However what sets the restaurant apart is the service with an attention to detail only found in expensive restaurants. We even had a visit from the chef. I highly recommend this restaurant. Plus it is affordable!

I came upon Luna Capresse by accident — specifically, after finding my initial choice, Lutong Pinoy jam-packed wall to wall by a large party. I was set to visit the Spanish Monastery with my friend and after finding ourselves in that bind, a couple of men overheard us and recommended trying out Luna Capresse, a new addition, which they said looked interesting. We walked on over to take a peek and decided to give it a try, rather than driving elsewhere. The place had a modern yet casual vibe, with avocado green splashes on the walls, some modern artwork on the walls, and wood tables and chairs. I was not sure what to expect, and I must say, I was a bit skeptical, until I saw the dessert case. Suddenly, I was sold. Still, I figured perhaps this was more of a bakery than a restaurant, and we needed to have lunch. We sat down and looked at the menu. It seemed like more of a casual dining place than gourmet, based on their choices that ranged from salads and sandwiches, to some grilled options. Scanning the menu, we noticed that it was incredibly affordable(a big plus), and most of the options seemed on the healthy side(save for the desserts, of course). My friend settled for a Lomo Saltado(which, I advised against, being that it is a Peruvian dish, and that’s the equivalent of ordering sushi in a Cuban restaurant), and I ordered the grilled chicken, which came with 2 sides — I decided on mashed potatoes and a salad. We waited, though not for too long, and our food came out. At that time, I was suddenly told they had run out of mashed potatoes, but could offer me fries or a baked potato. Although I had my salad and my chicken breast at this point, it was still a bit irritating that they waited until I had my meal to inform me that they did not have my other side dish. There were perhaps 2 other tables in the whole place, so I don’t think it was too much to ask for. I asked for the fries and began eating the rest of my meal. The chicken was well-seasoned, flavorful, and juicy. Sometimes, grilled chicken can have the texture of cardboard, but this was more of a gridiron than a traditional grill, like a barbecue grill, that can easily dry out meat or make it tough. The salad was good, but I do wish they had more dressing options than just balsamic vinegar and oil. The fries were very hot but did not leave your fingers all full of grease, so I felt like they were cooked in a healthier manner than being deep fried. My friend liked his meal, but did not make many comments other than«it’s good!» and finishing everything off his plate. All in all, the food was very light, yet filling, and reminded me of comfort food, something my mom would make me for dinner when dropping by to visit. It wasn’t elaborate or highly experimental in its ingredients or presentation, nor heavy on sauces and fat content. Of course, after seeing that dessert display case, there was no way we could leave without trying the desserts. I ordered the chocolate mousse, and my friend opted for the flan with caramel. My dessert was creamy, fluffy, with what seemed to be brownie crumbs within the creamy, velvety mousse. It came out in a cold cup, and the presentation was somewhat elaborate, as you can see in the photos. I did not leave one drop behind! My friend’s caramel flan was elegant too, with chunks of thick caramel adorning the flan, like walls. He seemed to really like it, though unlike me, he does not have much of a sweet tooth. I don’t know if you can order cakes here(as in birthday cakes), but considering their lovely, sweet, delicate desserts, I am very tempted to find out and give them a try. My birthday’s coming up in less than 3 months, perhaps I can talk my family into letting me pick up a cake from here…
