Myrtle Beach Dolphin Cruises

Kids had a blast seeing the dolphins. Nice boat ride seeing all the waterfront and houses as well.

The boat ride was nice but pretty long from the marina to the Atlantic. I felt like only ¼−1/3 of the trip was actually spent dolphin spotting. We did see some. but it was quick only got a few minutes. It was windy and conditions weren’t the best, so I wouldn’t blame the charter company for that. I had read in another review that they played dance music on the ride down the river… Not so with this captain. We did spot a bald eagle. but the rest of the 30 min ride to the ocean was «meh». The boat can’t produce a wake in that area and must go slow. On the open ocean they gave us a nice fast and soaked ride! J

After reading the previous reviews I really believed we were going to see dolphins and was very disappointed when we DIDN’T! :(I still recommend doing the dolphin tour because it takes you on a scenic cruise down the intracoastal and out to the ocean. Although we didn’t see any dolphins we did get 4 free passes ($ 88 value) to come again and they never expire!

Great activity for a sunny day! Definitely call in advance to reserve a spot because it fills up quickly. Oh, and don’t wear nice clothes. (You’ll get wet, unless you sit by the aisle.)
The captain and crew were very friendly and knowledgeable. The first mate went around the entire boat and offered to take a picture with everyone’s camera or phone, which was thoughtful. They also played dance music while we were traveling. A certain group of old ladies REALLY appreciated that.
And yes, we saw dolphins! It’s their guarantee, after all. Very cool!

We saw lots of dolphins, jet skis catching serious air, ride was like a speed boat and we got to stand up front and catch the spray. The captain rotated the boat so that everyone had a chance for some great views. Awesome trip — only wish we went at 3 pm for the rougher ride since Hurricane Arthur is getting closer. Totally worth it!

Truly awesome experience, be prepared to get drenched when they amp up the speed!
I boarded with hope, but not really expecting to see dolphins on this boat ride. The ride went along a beautiful scenic channel leading to the wide open ocean, where we were greeted by so many dolphins! I mean, the boat was practically surrounded by dolphins!
The employees were informative and helpful; even offering to take group pictures. I will definitely go again and again!

Sooooooo worth the money.
I was skeptical of this as when I called the lady stated that if I did not see dolphins… I could go again. So I went into this thinking that I would not say anything and that it was a tourist or money trap.
The event was worth the money! It lasted for quite a long time.
It was scenic… They warn you that you should place your belongings that you want to keep dry in their locked up area. I obliged… good thing I did… as we all GOT SOAKED when the boat hit the waves… it was GREAT!!! SO FUN!!!
Then we went deep into the ocean! DOLPHINS EVERYWHEREEEEEEEE!!!
Even saw a jellyfish!

Worth every penny. Even if we hadn’t see dolphins it’d be worth the admission price just for the boat ride. The captain was very knowledgeable about the various wildlife we saw, historic locations, etc. the only downside was you could clearly tell he was getting kickbacks or other incentives from area restaurants, other tours, etc. Not a big deal, but it was noticeable. Shortly after we hit the Atlantic we found dolphins, loads of them! He did a great job of getting the boat right up next to them so everyone could see and get pictures.
Also worth mentioning is how accommodating they were of children. They allowed them to sit in the captain’s chair for photos and when the ride got wet the made room in the enclosed area for my one year old son. First mate Jason was kind enough to take pictures of our family and others as well, he was also very knowledgeable.
If you’re in the area this dolphin tour is not to be missed. I’m sure we’ll do it again.

This was one of the best parts of our trip to Myrtle Beach. Fun, educational and cheap. $ 25/​person for 1.5−2 hour cruise into Atlantic Ocean and includes 3 parts — a historic tour, a speedboat ride (where you get totally drenched) and dolphin watching.
The historic portion was okay, but relaxing, but then when the Captain put the boat into high gear about 30 minutes into the ride, it was so fun. Stand up at the front and you will get drenched with salt water from the Atlantic Ocean, which was perfect for a hot day.
Alas, when we sailed out to find dolphins, there were none, but this place is really nice and they give you a free pass to ride again if you don’t see dolphins. We did get one, but being so far away, it probably won’t come in handy, however, I have to give props to this company for guaranteeing dolphin watching and even if you don’t see any, it’s still a fun ride and amazing value!
