Raumfabrik is a boutique architecture and interior design firm in the SF Bay Area offering services for new construction projects as well as remodels and additions. We promote the incorporation of green building techniques and recycled or renewable materials. Besides design, construction documents and construction administration we also offer services such as pre-​purchase consulting, master planning, code research, lighting design, cabinetry design, material and finishes selection, color consulting and furniture layout.

Business Owner

Antje Paiz, founder of Raumfabrik, is a California licensed architect and LEED Green Associate with over ten years of experience in residential design. Born in Germany, Antje has also lived in France, Switzerland, Italy and Oregon before finding a new home in the Bay Area. Her international background allows her to navigate effortlessly between styles, blending in subtle cultural references. Her designs reflect a clear sighted understanding of functional relationships and spatial organization combined with a visceral love for materials and color. Antje holds a Master of Economics degree from the University of Heidelberg and a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon. Prior to starting her own company, Antje built her professional skills as an architect with two Bay Area firms, McCoppin Studios and Inkmoon Architects.
