Abby Ann’s Ice Cream and Nathan’s Famous of North Port

Ice cream is very vey good. Nice size portions. I had to wait a while before anyone took my lunch order (hot dog plus drink). They did bring it out to me once the order was ready. Given it was their grand opening I was very pleased with the entire experience. If you want delicious ice cream this is the place to get it.

This is my fav ice cream/​hotdog place ever. The staff is so friendly they are almost family to me.

Ordered 2 hotdogs for my friend and one for myself from the specials menu. Special includes fries and a soda.
I ordered the kraut dog. This consisted of mustard and kraut, extremely oily fries plus soda…6.99 + .50 for kraut.
My friend ordered the two dogs special. 8.99.
We took our order home to find the fries were swimming in oil and were not edible. The two hot dogs were naked… nothing on them. Don’t you think someone should have told us that nothing was on the dogs?
$ 17 plus dollars for what? Needless to say, I would not recommend this place to anybody!

Stopped in today and have a fabulous kraut dog, bacon cheese fries, orangeade to drink and to finish it off Abby Ann’s ice cream! Yummy!

Abby Ann’s just reopened after a short stint of being closed for a remodel. They added in Nathan’s Famous to their location! A bunch of us went up there yesterday and tried a little bit of everything. Hot dogs, chili cheese dog, hot dog nuggets, chicken sandwich, fries, and loaded fries we all fantastic! To finish off we tried their new boardwalk style funnel cake with special praline ice cream on top, you won’t want to miss trying that! The old fashioned lemonade and orangeade are a can’t miss. All the same great ice cream, service, and staff, with a nice, new food addition.

So I have had ice ream in every state I have lived in (5) and I used to distribute it for a living… this is not only GREAT ice cream, but the management and staff are top notch… The owner and staff care about the patrons and most of all cater to the kiddos. I have two and our kids LOVE this place… wanna try this flavor… done, that one… sure… the next 5 in line… absolutely! and they are ALL good… wait… yep all of them, according to personal taste. They have and will make Coke Floats, or what ever flavor, splits, sundaes and the scoops, well are really like a scoop and a half every where else.
The atmosphere is good, they have adequate seating and even patio seating for those super cold 76 degree Florida winters! The pricing is really good and they have a frequent buyer card… PERFECT! My kids know them by name, maybe we over indulge, but they know us too and that is what we love… I recommend this to everyone that talks about cool places in North Port, FL to go after a school event or after a day with the family! Go… you will see! If you don’t like it I suggest a taste bud exam by your Primary Physician! If you do, sorry about the constant craving for great ice cream that follows the first visit!

Holy crap, this ice cream Is awesome!!! First time we went was tonight. The woman behind the counter was great! She was enthusiastic, and helpful. They have a lot of different flavors, and we can’t wait to go back!

There have been a couple Ice Cream places around the PC/​NP area, but I am so glad Abby Ann’s has arrived. I am a regular patron and their ice cream is unlike anything I have ever had. Their employees are friendly and you can have as many frees samples as you like. Their prices are reasonable and I would highly recommend this shop to everyone. Try their coffee ice cream btw, it is fantastic.

This is, by far, the best ice cream place around. They have over 40 flavors of ice cream and they also have no sugar no fat ice cream, hard packed yogurt, soft serve yogurt, sorbet & sherbet. I have not had a yucky flavor there yet & I have tasted every flavor they have! You can get a milkshake or malt made from any flavor of their ice cream or yogurt. Their smoothies are delicious. Their scoops are very nice sized & they offer a «kiddie scoop» that even adults can order, there is no age restriction on the kiddie size. They give you samples of any/​all flavors you would like to try. The staff there are very pleasant & knowledgeable. The inside is very clean. They have inside & outside seating. I highly recommend this little ice cream shop to anyone looking for a fantastic variety of flavors & a pleasant experience!

So happy a new ice cream spot is here. We were really unhappy with Sweet Scoops in PC even after giving multiple tries. Mostly due to rude employees. So were we very excited this place is here and closer to us. And everyone is very friendly. Now we have a great choice in Abby Ann’s for ice cream and Menchies for frozen yogurt.
