This store is huge, and there’s a wide variety of interesting costumes. With that being said, the prices are very steep. Also, the staff are not helpful. I was looking for a Bond girl outfit. When I explained this to one of the two workers, they said their«secret agent stuff» was out front. They showed me their police /cowboy section and insisted that the cowboy holster would work well. Both of them were playing on their phones.

I go every year for kids Halloween costumes and never find anything but the adult stuff looks excellent.

What a little hidden gem. With alot of the quality halloween costume stores being pushed out by these seasonal franchise places, it’s good to find a local, quality, costume shop. They have a decent selection of anything you could want, from Flapper to Alice, Pirate to cavemen, Steam Punk to giant bee. Prices are variable from cheap to expensive, but there’s a good chance you’ll find what you need. Check it out!

Halloween 2010, I never plan on going out anywhere. I really can’t stand Halloween — it’s in the top ten amateur drinking nights of the year. And this does not sit well with me. This year we decided to go out — house party, slightly safer choice than a bar? I decided to wear one of my friend’s outfits from the previous year. I needed a few extra things to «make the costume» in a few people’s opinions — and so, out of my element(ie. in the suburbs) I rushed around trying to find accessories. I tried all the stores that I could find, and after a few calls, I ended up here, my last ditch effort for a few items. It was crowded, there was a cop at the door, and the line was pretty long. Two registers, it looked like, and only one open??? Weird choice for Halloween evening? I thought so. They have a variety of things that I haven’t seen for purchase anywhere else. So, kudos, Joker’s Wild. I was surprised that a place like this could exist in such a seemingly uptight area in Metro-Boston. I expect to see things like this in Cambridge and surrounding areas, not in North Reading. I found what I needed, waited in line for a fairly-very long time. All sales are final — which was written by hand on the counter. Not sure if this is a halloween rule, or an all the time rule. Either way, I wish I could have returned the stuff that I didn’t use. Still wrapped up and untouched, it will be headed to goodwill shortly.

This place is open year round and has an amazing, large selection of costumes that you can not find in run of the mill Halloween stores during October. However, the staff is on top of you the whole time and treats you like you might be stealing which is just annoying. Also, prices are high compared to other stores. Again, awesome selection though. If you don’t find a costume or the perfect accessory here, then it probably doesn’t exist.

I happen to be in LOVE with this store. I don’t even live that close, but any costume needs I go there for and they have it all. Prices are the same as other Halloween stores that pop up this time of year. Costumes are already out of bags to try on. They pretty much have it all. I LOVE the store, the staff, the products, everything! CHECKTHEMOUT! :)

It’s like The Garment District of the North Shore. Except smaller and strictly costume related. If you’re looking for a REAL costume, skip the chain stores and head to Joker’s Wild – they’ll hook you up. Sure it’s more pricey, but you get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a Raggedy Andy costume prefixed in a plastic bag, then stick with Wal-Mart.

I can always count on these guys to have everything I want. And let’s face it, what others would wear on Halloween, I’d wear to work or just when I’m out and about. Of course when fall hits and Halloween is right around the corner, this is THE place to go. Depending on where you live, there is another location in Danvers that is equally cool. They have everything in every color, style, and size for the most part. When they run out of certain things, they always order more so that everyone can get what they need in time. The run out of contact lenses(both theatrical and non) quite frequently, but restock ASAP. Their inventory is a little pricey, and I’ve found some of the same stuff at other places for cheaper but honestly you have to shop around to make sure you get what you want for how much you want to spend. So if you don’t really give a shit about parting with your money like me, shop here. The counter ladies are generally nice and helpful, but sometimes even if it’s not busy they can get stuck helping someone else find something and you’ll have to wait a little while to pay for your things. Which is understandable, but I figured I’d get it out there. Since North Reading is a virtual Rt. 28 of restaurants, Wal-Marts, and small businesses that aren’t the greatest, Joker’s Wild really stands out among the mediocre area.
