One time Instead of Chicken quesadilla, delivered cheese quesadilla. More recently wait time for ‘fast’ food approximately 15 minutes. Does management need to change?

A lot of folks seem to have had issues with this specific Taco Bueno. I haven’t, however. Love me some Tuesday night $ 2.99 taco plates. Service is always friendly and fast, food prepared as I expect(nothing gourmet, it’s fast food for crying out loud) Salsa. Salsa. Salsa. yum. I get the chicken taco combo platter often or the mexi dip and chips. Always tastes bueno to me. The dining area has always looked clean. No complaints from me. Although I gotta admit… Pepsi is gross. Switch back to Coke.

Taco No-Bueno! The only thing that saved today’s experience from a 1 star was the staff. They were friendly and attentive but that was the only thing that went correct. The order took a very long time to be prepared and the place only had half a dozen people in the restaurant at lunch time.(This should have been a clue). The food itself tasted«stale» and the beef filling for the taco and burrito’s just didn’t taste good at all. Stale or old is the only thing I can find that explains it. I have been to many other Taco Bueno locations before, but this place was significantly sub-par to others in taste and service time. Even the salsa bar was«unfresh». To top it off, my daughter ordered a very complicated mini-quesadilla children’s meal with chips. It arrived with apple sauce and no toy. Two trips to the counter made the order correct. Won’t be rushing back!

20 min wait for fast food seems a little much. Plus they messed up my order. They seemed to mess up everyone’s order in front of me too. Not advisable if you don’t have 20min to kill waiting for food.

Go through the drive through. They take care of everyone in the drive through first. I waited 8 minutes in line and then 20 minutes for food. I was told I waited so long because they take care of drive thru customers first. Food is good, place is understaffed, but that did not seem to make the three employees move any faster.

This is not a good location. They’re quite slow and sometimes stingy with the burrito filling.

The first time I came here, I ordered a veggie rice bowl with no cheese. What I received was a chicken rice bowl with cheese… So I drove back to get what I actually ordered. Luckily, my husband is not vegan like I am, so I gave the wrong order to him. The manager was apologetic and very sweet and gave me the correct order very quickly. The next time I came here, I went through the drive thru and ordered a taco with black beans instead of beef. The gentleman working the drive thru told me they don’t have that, but they have black bean burritos. Sigh. I kindly told him that it was definitely possible to make a black bean taco, considering that they have black beans and that I have ordered black bean tacos from probably every Taco Bueno in the metroplex. He asked the kitchen staff, they said they could do it… I know. I’m convinced this TB location hates vegans. ;) Look, I know this is Taco Bueno, but they just don’t have their stuff together at this location from what I can tell.

The chicken quesadilla was a little on the cold side. Other than that it was the standard fair. The drive through was quick and a bit too efficient based on the food temperature. The outside was clean and well maintained. As I used the drive through I cannot comment about much else, so save for temperature not a bad place.

I should have known trouble was on the horizon when Taco Bueno switched their beverage choices to Pepsi products. I have yet to find a restaurant chain that serves Pepsi and makes good quality their top priority. I tried this location today just because it had been a while since I’ve had Taco Bueno. I got my lunch a the drive-thru, so I didn’t look at the food before getting it home. When my wife opened her container of MexiDips, she was greeted by a brownish paste that was once guacamole. Seriously, Taco Bueno? Brown guacamole? Good guacamole should be the color of Kermit the Frog, not Oscar the Grouch after some hardcore dumpster diving. The rest of the food ranged from bland to mediocre, supporting my assertion that Pepsi equals apathy. Obviously this location doesn’t represent the brand as a whole, but I have no reason to try another location, given the numerous choices available among restaurants that actually care about serving food that tastes good. Adiós, Taco Bueno!

I’m far from a Taco Bueno newbie. I know I’m not getting gourmet… but I know what to expect. The drive-thru food last night was horrible: the burrito tasted stale, the chicken rice bowl was bland, the ingredients on nachos were skimpy and the salsa tasted like someone poured a lot of salt in it… it was totally inedible. DONOTGOTOTHISLOCATION… RUNAWAY!

It was my first taco bueno experience, I had the burrito, taco and soft taco meal. It was just ok, I still prefer taco bell. Just wasnt feeling it. Of all the employees only 1 had a uniform on and the food was just thrown together. Meh… it was just ok…

I’m not really sure where Jenny H was attempting to get her Mexican food in Los Angeles, but she must just have the worst luck ever. Finding good Mexican food in LA and Orange County is a pretty simple process. Now on to my review of Taco Bueno. I was visiting the area in November because I am moving here to attend University. I actually currently live in Roanoke, TX now and live right next to a Taco Bueno and I can’t help but think, «How in the world is this a CHAIN?!» This is honestly the worst Mexican food that I have ever tasted. In fact, I might even consider it to be the worst food in general that I have ever had. I had two things that I thought were simple dishes: Nachos and a single taco. Both were disgusting and I couldn’t finish either one. I actually had to spit out the taco because although I hate wasting food/money, I just couldn’t stand it. I tasted the beans and rice that my husband had with his plate. Beans from a can that you make at home taste better than these beans. I am also very picky with my Mexican rice due to that fact that my Grandma Medina makes the best rice you could imagine and I can’t help but compare other Mexican rice to it when I taste it. With this rice, I wouldn’t even allow the comparison because it wasn’t even close to being on the same level. The only good thing that I can say is that the customer service was great.

Went yesterday to this location. Clean, friendly, fast! There was a new menu which was a little more expensive and looks very different. I still love this place and will continue to come back. Hope things are not changing too much.

Let me tell you about Los Angeles. There was a place that was fulfilling in absolutely every way except for one: Mexican Food. I once went on a binge looking for good Mexican in my area in LA. I went to TONS of Mexican tortillerias, and stores and holes in the walls, to find ONEDARNGOOD Mexican food store in freaking LA. I found many mediocre ones. While on that binge I tried a lot of burritos. Spent a lot of money. Taco Bueno’s was better. And I got it on a coupon for 99cents. Its not the best in TEXAS, but its good for the price it’s ambrosia.

My wife eats here because she can stomach the beans and rice when she is having morning sickness nausea. I come here often, and more than ¾ of the time, our order is wrong. It’s bean tacos and rice. They come out with chili sauce, missing rice, ground beef, all kinds of nonsense. ALLTHETIME. If you are forced at gunpoint to eat here, CHECKTHEBAG! OPENEVERYTHING. Assume they are all incompetent, because they are. I was actually WAVEDOFF and ignored by the«MANAGER» there, when I pulled up to the drive through to see if there was a problem, after waiting for almost ten minutes for a woman in a Volvo to SAYANYTHING to the menu speaker. Several people had just driven off. When I told him that I was submitting a complaint for being treated like garbage, he argued with me, told me «ok you can go now» and that it was ok for him to do that because the woman in front of me «comes here every day». He then personally threatened me, telling me that his cousin was«my boss”(which he isn’t) and that he was going to come to my job and tell my boss to fire me. This establishment is a joke. There’s a Taco Cabana across the street, a Chipotle around the corner by Kroger, a Taco Bell on Harwood and 26, and a Fuzzy’s on Rufe Snow and Iron Horse.

CHEAPESTSEASONALDEAL. (Avoid the breakfast) The prices for the platters are so good to begin with, but $ 2.99 for a platter during promotional times is ridiculous. How they’re making a profit during these times, I don’t know? — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – — — — — — — — — — — — — - Guacamole —(Great) Chips —(Good, but a tiny bit overcooked — dark golden) — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – — — — — — — — — — — — — - One Taco Bueno is just like any other Taco Bueno right? Nope. Let me explain. Ever been to a McDonald’s and the fries were either overly salted or under salted, but another location(or the same location at a different time) has perfectly seasoned fries. It’s weird isn’t it? The other food is soo… consistent till you get to that little inconsistency. Anyhow, the same can be said about Taco Bueno and it has to do with their Guacamole and Chips(though I’ve had bad rice /beans a few times — but rare) So I’ve implemented a scale on the top of the review. If I get bad brown slimy Guac or rubbery old chips then I’ll mention it(and doc a star). If it’s good, then they gain my love and get a star back. (G) — for good /great (F) — for fail /nasty BTW, don’t eat the breakfast @ Taco Bueno. It’s tempting since the meals taste good, but I’ve never had a good breakfast at any location. AVOID.
