I purchased a Pellet Stove from the Stove Shop on Frederickson Farms. This business came highly recommended by several friends. My first trip to the shop was to do just that, shop for a pellet stove. The brand which is sold here«Harmond«is top of the line. I met the sales person, a really nice guy an he was able to answer all my questions. My second trip was to make the purchase and I met with the same man from my initial visit. Here is where customer service begins to crumble like my hopes of being millionaire. The salesman asked for my exhaust pipe dimensions. Of course I wrote them down but forgot to take them with me. I called the next day with the dimensions and was told my stove will be delivered in three weeks. No problem at all. Three weeks to the day my stove is being delivered early in the morning. Here are some numbers for the purchase. Stove $ 4000. Delivery $ 250. Hearth Stone $ 300. In the end I opted to install the stove myself and save $ 650. On the morning of delivery I am met by an other than pleasant young man, who quickly lets me know he will not be installing the purchased unit. I agree with him and he asks if I want the stove in my garage. After telling him it will be delivered into my living room as was the agreement made at the time of sale, he again advised me with an even stronger tone, he will not be installing the unit. Now that I totally understand, he will not be installing, I am ok since I didn’t want him to install but he still isn’t getting it. In typical juvenile fashion there is a lot of huffing and puffing while my stove is being brought into my first floor living room approximately 25ft from the delivery truck. Now we are at the, «sign for your delivery phase» and I ask where the exhaust pipes are. Guess what I am told? You got it! He tells me for the third time«I am not installing this!» As puffs of steam start to push from my ears I am also very confused. So I don’t get the pipes unless you install the stove? WHEREARETHEPIPES? Guess what? The delivery guy tells me I never bought the pipes and I should call the office. I called the office and told them how much I hated the service provided. I went on to tell them the should be grateful for customers during these economic times and maybe treat them better. I was offered an apology and to have my pipes delivered. I chose to go to another Harmond Dealer in Warwick to finish this project. I would advise to stay away from Frederickson Farms for any and all business.
