I became aware of Dr. Martin through an ad on WCPT. I trust the station so I tried her offer of an evaluation and treatment for diabetic neuropathy. It was a bait and switch ruse so familiar to many. 2 treatments and test results promised. You can only get results if you bring back your spouse, for the big pressure sales job.
They forgot to tell me to bring my wife for the 2^nd visit so I was sent home. If I cancelled, I would have been charged. Wasted half a day for their negligence.
I had prepaid my $ 60 as they insisted (I should have been suspicious) and got ripped off. Very poor office operation and lax attention. Would not even give one star. And my results I paid for? Very unprofessional.

I started going to Dr. Martin in January, when I felt really run down and assumed it was due to either stress or a low thyroid. I liked that she tested for more than the usual MD would test, so I went. Dr. Martin asked excellent, thorough questions– some that seemed unusual but were right on the mark for my condition. She clearly had a good read on what my problem might be during that initial questioning. She ordered some very thorough tests (again, way more than my regular doctor would order), and within a very short time we had confirmation of her initial thoughts. I started her treatment plan and within a month felt better and looked better. I had a few long-​standing issues that my regular doctor just shrugged at and said was just a case of getting older. Dr. Martin figured out what it really was, and now a few months later I feel alive again. The bulk of my visits were for non-​chiropractic work, but I did go for one visit for an injury, which Dr. Martin treated and fixed quickly. I really love this place and heartily recommend it.

If there’s a better Chiropractor in Northbrook or in the city of Chicago for that matter I want to see them. The office is beautiful with all cutting edge equipment and the service is even better. Dr Kim’s only concern is getting me better and money seems like a secondary issue. I would highly recommend Dr Kim Martin to any of my closest friends, family or associates. Its simply as good as it gets!

I went in for lower back pain last week. Dr. Martin’s packet had nothing to do with my back. It was a list of repetitive questions about my food and other weird things like sexual desires, etc. When I came in, I explained that I was injured and what I was eating had nothing to do with it. I’ve been to chiropractors before, and I needed to simply be adjusted and get a treatment plan. She said when I got in that she couldn’t do anything unless all of those questions were answered. I played along and did it anyway because my back needed help. Then she had me doing all of these weird tests that took almost two hours. It wasn’t until the last 10 minutes that she took X-​rays. When I came back in to go over results, she was rambling about doing a detox plan and that I needed to lose weight to help my back. I agree that I could lose about 15 lbs, but I eat healthy & work out. She basically told me that what I was doing was worthless & my back wouldn’t get better unless I detoxed. She’s got an agenda when you go in, that’s for sure. The «plan» she offered me was over $ 6,000, and if I paid in full, she would only take off $ 200. I attended to explain that ice been to a chiro before because of a past injury, and she told me that those past treatments were useless and those doctors were money hungry… sounds like she may need to look in the mirror a bit. I think she’s in over her head with this practice & needs to get back to chiropractic reality. I was ready to become a regular patient, and she lost me with her condescending undertones and scare tactics. The last thing I’ll add is that she was interrupted once in the meeting by one of her staff who came in and said another patient needed an adjustment. I was perfectly willing to wait, but she rolled her eyes at the boy who came in, and when he left, she said, «does he not realize I’m with a patient?» 2 things: 1. Mocking your staff in front of a patient? Not okay. 2. Go adjust your other patient. Now that person is just laying there. That’s incredibly rude on multiple points. I won’t go back and do not recommend her at all. Money-​hungry & rude to patients and staff.

BEWARE of FREE «Breakthrough Thyroid Workshop».
I found an add in magazine. The workshop did not say anything new but I liked Dr. Martin opinion about food and medicine which is just like my. After a workshop there was promo offer for over $ 400.oo complete test (supposively the test real price according to Dr. Martin is $ 3800.oo) I took the test and I got explanation on paper and from Dr. Martin. Comes out my thyroid was slightly off, I had not enough calcium, vitamin D, zinc, iron. Also I was acidic and needed some enzymes. I went back several times (waste of my and her time) until I had heard the solution. According to Dr. Martin I was in need of 6 month treatment under her supervision, with diet prescribed by her and supplements and after 6 months the test (results not guaranteed) will be repeat and «we take it from there». The price for treatment was… over a FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS. I was never at the doctor who did not have any answer for me just because I could not afford it. Dr. Martin after I told her this was way out of my price range she kept on shrugging her shoulders and she was repeating this is what she recommends. She did not have any other solution for me. She did not offered me supplements, she also did not reveal what kind of supplements and the dosage should I take to make my self better — even thought she did said — and I understand correctly when she was explained the test results she eithere will have supplements for me or … I could use my own. I went there in good faith and I left after last visit angry, disgusted and disappointed. Maybe it is irrelevant but I would like to introduce my self to you. I am in my thirties, I am 5.9 and I weight 178 pounds — I could use to loose some pounds, I watch what I eat (I am big fan of documentary food movies) and I do kickboxing, boxing 4x a week. Dr. Martin (not so skinny or energetic herself) wants to prescribe me diet without even asking how my current diet is. I do not eat sweets or fast food, I love fruits, vegetables, whole grain, I do have a lot of knowledge about food. I may need some changes but I do not think they should cost me 5000 dollars. She has not care about the patient, only about the money. After she told me about financing planes and I was not going to take it she lost interest in me or helping me. I did recommend the test to my friends, I found them very complete and interested, but after I found out all you get is to pay for the test and no solution to the results I called all my friends and tell them the whole story. None of us is rich and if we go to the doctor we expect to treat us with respect and diagnoses.

⁴⁄₂₁ UPDATE:
I’ve beening seeing Dr. Martin and the lovely Sara for going on 4 weeks now for her weight loss program, and I’ve lost 16lbs (281) as of wed the 17^th. I really am feeling much better. And I intend to continue to see Dr. Martin until I reach 250 and maintain that weight. She has helped tom teach me how and what to eat to stay healthy. I really can’t say enough about how good I feel now.
I saw an ad for their weight loss seminar and have needed to lose weight so I went. It was very informative and it offered a discount for a body wrap which I’ve never had. I talked over the information with my wife and we decided I should try it, the program is not a diet but a lifestyle change. I went back with my wife and got my wrap and bought the program for myself. I’m 2 days into it and I actually feel good. I really think this time I’ll lose and not find the weight. Thanks Dr. Martin

I really appreciated my visit to Dr. Kim Martin. She was able to address the pain in my knee with a series of laser therapy treatments. I also benefited from her consulting and massage table. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and caring.
Her beautiful office and staff are delightful too. I’d highly recommend North Shore Health Solutions!

When I went to Dr. Marin, I had severe pain and numbness down my arm. The pain was almost intolerable. couldn’t work, couldn’t sleep!. Doc Martin worked her magic and 7 sessions later the pain and numbness are gone!
The office is a beautiful serene environment and the staff are all wonderful! Highly recommended.
