Call for an appointment today. We specialize in Ladies Formal Wear including wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and Prom Gowns. In addition, we work on tailoring, quilting, and costuming. Our business is based on making client appointments for fittings.

Heirloom-​quality workmanship for all of your sewing, alteration, and embroidery projects with over 30 years experience with sewing and alterations and over 10 years with machine embroidery experience.

We focus on the northern Denver Metro areas including Brighton, Broomfield, Commerce City, Erie, Henderson, Northglenn, Thornton, and Westminster.

History

Established in 1998.

After raising four daughters to adulthood, Kathy (Sassy) experienced making dresses and costumes from scratch, altering clothes, making sewing projects (like quilts) and in 2001, machine embroidery. When friends and family saw the things that she made, they would ask her to make things for them-​this is how Sassy went from hobby to small business. In 2004, Sassy’s Selections invested in an Amaya commercial embroidery machine.

Business Owner

Since childhood, Kathy’s nickname has been Sassy. Most of the time, it is/​was quite fitting.

Her sewing experience began in Junior High School with making an outfit in Homemaking Class and continued through High School where she made gowns for herself for Home Comings and Proms.

While Kathy raised her four daughters to adulthood, she continued to practice her sewing craft. She made dresses and outfits (including Prom gowns and Wedding/​Bridesmaid gowns), altered clothes to fit each girl, and embroidered a variety of apparel like basketball team jerseys and customized hoodies.

Kathy has worked as administrative assistants, customer service representatives, Store Operation Manager, and Business Owner/​Operator. Coming from her background as a workplace employee to Management to Business Owner, she has an unique feel for handling customer needs. She believes in doing things right the first time with quality service.
