Reliant is responsive, accountable, on time and effective. They do good work and are reasonably priced.

This company will call you the day before to remind you of your appointment. Then they will also send you a text reminding you. However, when they are running over an hour behind for an early morning appointment (people gotta get to work you know), they won’t bother to let you know. Time Warner Cable has better communication and they are horrible. I thought long and hard about giving a bad review to this business. But the ONLY reason I even called them was due to good reviews on Unilocal so I figured I would share. Maybe they are GREAT at pest control. I’ll never know. I called someone else for my pest control needs.

Honestly, I couldn’t go to another company. I’d had Terminix and Western in the past, and they’re so, I dunno… Workin’ off a playbook; they’re not personal. To start, I needed just a one-​time seasonal killing of ants. Everyone wanted to charge me $ 2 – 300 for a one time service, unless I signed a contract. I don’t need a contract. I need (ed) ants to cease to exist. Reliant was almost half the price, AND that included a follow up spray. Not only that, the people on the phone have a brain. I mean, they can explain various options without a script, unlike Terminix and Western. Then, I needed a termite inspection for a house re-​fi, and they gave me like a 30% discount for being a repeat customer. Furthermore, they were going to combine a follow-​up visit with the termite inspection, the bug guy who came out sprayed for ants, but forgot the termite inspection. WTH??? Well, I called the office, explained the problem and they were all over it! Gary, the owner and fellow Navy vet, came to my house to personally apologize and do the inspection. I’ll bet you a paycheck that’d NEVER happen with one of the big companies! Reliant has my business forever.

Lots of places to use in the LA area for pest death. Problem is it can be very difficult finding companies that know what they are doing. Reliant came as a suggestion from a friend. I skimmed over their Unilocal reviews and it looked good.
Called the number, spoke to a very friendly and nice girl on the phone and set up an appointment. I work like most folks and it’s hard to get time off if not impossible for my job. Not without taking a full sick or vacation day. So I was happy to see they had an 8−9a slot. They also were able to get someone to my place the VERY next day and not weeks later. Which; when you have your own version of «8-​Legged Freaks» happening in your home; this is good thing.
LA traffic, as we all know, is an unpredictable beast. I had a «hard-​out» at 9am. Nothing I could do about it. Sadly, Reliant arrived around 20m after 9a. I was long gone. Before I could even call to re-​schedule, they called me. They had an appointment run-​over. (hey that’s a good thing, shows they were taking the time needed for the previous appointment!) Then, of course, their guy got hammered in LA traffic. NO BIG DEAL and totally understandable. I re-​scheduled for Friday that same week at the same time.
Come Friday I had a ring at my door at 8am sharp! First appointment of the day this time. 20m later, the room was sprayed down. Spiders running and screaming for their lives. A follow up appointment, which is included with the cost, comes weeks later. Good value and good people!
You want dead bugs and people who *really* know bugs? Look nowhere else.

Reliant Pest Control epitomizes customer service by delivering their services with excellent communication, thoroughness, and consistent punctuality. Their customer desk is manned by Lissa who is a real pro at keeping details so that she instantly knows your exact situation during follow-​up phone calls. Additionally, when I reply to their text messages to confirm or request a schedule change, they swiftly reply back; it doesn’t get any easier than that.

Competitive pricing good communication, but most importantly, GREAT customer service. Shout out to Kini. He’s prompt, very courteous and professional, and he knows his bugs! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, in fact, my sister will be using them when she moves into her new place.

Ive lived in my home for nearly five years and have continually noticed what appeared to be termite waste in my kitchen and near my backyard patio. Procrastinating as usual, I neglected to call the professionals… In addition to the termite situation I recently encountered a mouse situation… the line was drawn there and I called Reliant Pest Control. Luckily, I spoke to Gary (the owner), and like so many of the other reviews, he was genuine and engaged in the conversation about my issues.
Upon arrival Gary did a thorough sweep through the inside and outside of my house and garage. I was shown multiple areas where vermin can access the house. Professionals see everything…
When I showed Gary my «termite» problem he took a closer look and determined it wasn’t termites, but rather friction from my wood drawers! Thank you!!! After giving me the termite evaluation he assured me that it was a non issue.

I had previously had Western Exterminators come to my house to treat for bedbugs, in a few words they were awful and didn’t fix the problem. i was then referred to Reliant by a friend and immediately I could tell these people cared about me and my issue. They came back several times to re-​treat until they were positive the problem was gone. The staff at Reliant are really the BEST! Thanks for everything Reliant.

We got rapid service from these guys, very friendly, fair price. And the treatment was effective. I could not ask for more. I just called at nearly 2 PM today to see if I could change a follow-​up appointment to this afternoon and they are working on accommodating me, which is really remarkable. I’d use them again in a heartbeat.

I had a termite inspection in order to complete the sell of our Porter Ranch home. Gary came and did a very thorough check of our home. I felt very secure in his assessment and in his company. I highly recommend Reliant Pest Control to anyone with the need of pest control.

I called them to take care of an «uninvited house guest» that comes during the night and keeps chewing holes on our dog food and doggy treat bags. They arrived the same day and evaluated my problem. I already knew where the critter’s entry and exit passage was located so i show their technician Kini. He placed steel mesh over and around it and a couple traps for insurance. It’s been 5 days now and so far no more visits from our «guest». Kini guaranteed it would not be able to chew thru the steel mesh and special adhesive he used. They charged me $ 150 and i don’t know if that is really reasonable or not based on actual services rendered but Kini said it is.

I had another pest company come to my house to assess what I thought was a potential problem. They informed me that I had termites, and that they’d have to drill holes into my walls to get rid of them. It was going to cost several hundred dollars.
I decided to get another estimate for the work, and so Gary (the owner) came over to do an inspection. To my complete surprise, he said that I did not have termites! Crickets area apparently the problem I asked him if he was sure, and he explained to me the difference in the droppings. He said I didn’t have any issues and no work needed to be done (he has 20+ years of experience in the business).
Similar to what other reviewers have said, I think Gary is truly an honest guy with complete integrity. It would have been easy for him to sell me some service to make money, as I clearly wouldn’t have known any better.
There are a plethora of companies out there you can call — I’d recommend starting with Reliant Pest Control.

They destroyed my roof. The roof fixing cost will cost me 18,400 dollars. That is a lot of money. I should have found a company with roof damage insurance.

These guys are the best. Super responsive, always helpful. They really, truly want to do the best job they can and they always go above and beyond. Really glad we found them!

I met Gary, the owner of Reliant Pest Control in 2003. He has kept my home and property free of bugs and rodents for the last 11 years.
He is honest and completely trustworthy. In fact, we trust him so much that he has the garage code and services the inside of our home, as well as the outside, every month when we are gone. I would strongly recommend that people, who want a good, reliable, honest company — one who doesn’t try to gouge customers — give Reliant Pest Control a call.
You won’t be sorry if you hire Gary, but you may regret your decision to go with someone else.

We were in the process of selling our house in Northridge and
were looking for a company to do the termite inspection. We
Googled the Web and of course Unilocal and in Unilocal reviews, Reliant
Pest Control came up as a top company and we decided to hire them
to do the termite inspection.
Gary, who is also the owner, came out and did the inspection and
found some termite tubes in the garage. It looks like the tubes
are dormant and there was no sign of termite activity, but to be sure,
Gary suggested termite treatment to make sure there will not be a
termite problem in the future. He also observed the presence of some
dry rot on the outside wood that was always wet from the outside
sprinklers.
Gary quoted a reasonable estimate and sent Tim to do the termite
treatment. Tim did a really good and professional job with the termite
treatment and with removing of the wood rot.
Escrow closed after a few days and we were able to move in to
a different house soon after.
