This place is on campus so don’t expect much. If you come during busy hours it will end busy! If you come during unorthodox hours, it will be … well unorthodox. This place has been pretty full every time. It’s cool to just sit and drink a beer, do some homework, and eat some fries. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to kill some time.

A pub on campus!!! Woah… well I went to a dry Campus for my undergrad experience. Yea there was a bar across the street for students to hang out but it is not the same. To have a place to go on campus and chill during the day seems really cool. It reminds me of a place I had at UCR but with beer! The food was pretty good. It took a little longer than wxpected, but it was nice and fresh and hot. The cool snacks(tots and waffle fries) paired well with the beer. The service was cool. They did check our id’s and then gave us a wristband for faster identification in the future. It was not super busy, but had a nice vibe going on. Some people were hanging out and others were studying in the booths. I would definitely come back to hang out. It’s chill and I enjoyed my experience here.

This place wasn’t even busy and took an hour for a burger. Asking multiple times if it was almost done. Yeah yeah yeah. Never came till i told the lady in charge.

This place isn’t out of this world but it is a very cool environment. The food is good and one can even have a beer too. Csun is considered a dry campus but this is a place to find alcohol if one so pleases. The workers are pretty nice but then again some of them give a kind of I don’t want to be here vibe. They have a plethora of televisions for events and news that is going in the day, especially when a local team is playing. They have promotional nights for Monday night football during the fall which is pretty cool if you’re around. There’s a lot of seating but dan be limited during rush hour and peak times, especially if you want a booth. Overall this place is a nice spot to stop by to study, eat, watch sports, and hang out

Chicken tenders weren’t fully cooked. They were kind enough to give me a whole new batch of chicken tenders… Sad to say they came out rubbery. This place had amazing chicken tenders 4 years ago, but now i just couldn’t take a second bite.

Definitely one of the best places to grab a brew and watch sports in the SF Valley. I absolutely love this place. The bartenders are instantly your bffs and there’s nearly every sport on play on some screen. They even have a huge projected screen for the main game/match of the day. They’re events are a blast and the crowd is always ever changing. Definitely recommend this place even if you’re not a CSUN student. Most of their food is pretty damn good too. Only problem is that they’re not open on the weekends which makes sense since this place is on campus. The only thing I wish is that they served a night selection of beers or even a few cocktails. Or had events with music. That’s why I’m giving it the 3 stars. Still love this place though.

This place is heaven come mid terms and finals time. After 6 hours of studying for your exam you can come here for a delicious matador burger, literaly one of the best burgers on campus and a beer. They got blue moon on tap which is my prefered choice. They got a variety of other beers and food choices such as wings and onion rings. This place is a great place to socialize and watch sports. They have a big screen tv where they show sports games. They also have random sport nights during football season and such is pretty cool. The only downside is there is no hard liqour just beer but is kool is understandable it is a school campus after all, cant have drunk students in class.

The Pub is my favorite part of CSUN. Sure, the duck pond is cool, the other on-campus eateries are nice, but the Pub is where it’s at in terms of its atmosphere and its service. The bartenders are great and know how to pour you a beer — not too much head, and they don’t skimp! The beer selection is alright, they have a few regular beers on tap(Bud Light, Stella, Stone, Blue Moon, and I think Newcastle) as well as one tap that they rotate about once a month. They also have a pretty decent selection of bottled drinks. Since it is only one of two places to purchase alcohol on the otherwise dry campus, the drinks are a bit pricey, but it’s a bar, what do you expect? Also, there is a two-drink limit. What’s also nice is that they usually have a lot games on the tv’s and usually project either an LA basketball, baseball, or hockey game(unless if it’s football season, when they show Monday and Thursday night football unless if it’s playoff season). Oh, and they’re food is pretty good, too. I like getting their spaghetti, no meatball — it’s pretty average spaghetti, but for the amount you get and the price you pay, it’s an excellent choice! They also have good nachos. Long story short: good food, good beer, good atmosphere, great bartenders and staff.

Had a Stella and Newcastle + chicken tenders & waffle fries while chilling here for a couple hours waiting for my girl to get outta class. Everything was very decently college student priced. All beers less than $ 5, simple draft selection with g’knight and arrogant bastard as IPAs, bud and blue moon basics. Plus a decent bottled selection including redd’s Apple ale, raspberry shock tops and Sierra Nevadas etc. Friendly bartenders and several games at a time each screen: basketball, soccer, hockey. Chill hangout spot on campus. I’ll be here again if I’m ever around.

My son was a CSUN student. One time he brought home some take home food from your restaurant. I’ve tried your«Matador Burger». DEFINTELYDELICIOUS!!! One of the best I had in a long time. I was a CSUN student too. Too bad, back during my time, the Pub wasn’t open back then. My son was right. This restaurant is one of CSUN’s best. 5⁄5 from me. Congratulations Pub of CSUN.

The only alcohol bars at CSUN is The Pub & Orange Grove Bistro. Orange Grove Bistro is the classy version(possibly for the professors) whereas the The Pub is for students. Too bad we’re only limit to drink up to 2 drinks. & the bar should have more alcohol beverage varieties. What I really like is the burgers, especially the signature: Matador Burger. Definitely the best tasting one yet. I like how the cheese is buried within the burger meat & you can ask for a slice of cheese to be placed on top too. Another option with the burgers is you can ask for how many stacks of burger meat you would want to have. Nachos & other«party food» are also excellent tasting. No questions ask. 5⁄5 from me.

I’ll start off by saying that this is the only place on the csun campus that sells alcohol! Pros: –Lots of tv’s to watch sports games on! –Food is pretty decent for campus food –They have a microwave to heat up your food –They have a bar! –Lots of booth and tables! Cons: –The biggest con would be that this place gets extremely packed especially when there are big games on! This is probably one of the most relaxed atmospheres on campus to hang out with your friends! I like coming here when I have down time on campus!

I come here anytime I’m on campus and want to watch sports. It is great, the food is also good and reasonable price for college students. It gets packed on Mondays for football and any other big games. Overall great spot to have on campus, when you wanna get away from studying and doing hw.

One of the few places to eat at Csun. Their menu literally consists of bar food, and. As expected, it’s no home cooked, gourmet meal… But it’s still filling, cheap, and pretty tasty. Like, good cafeteria /bar food level of tasty. But the main reason why students come here is to unwind and relax… To drink a beer, watch some sports, and forget that they’re at school for a moment.

A couple of my classmates and I came here to gets some beers and food to celebrate being done with a presentation. This is the only place that serves alcohol on the CSUN campus, so this was our only option since we had another project to work on after and couldn’t really leave school. They only serve beer, no hard alcohol. They have a few options for draft beer as well as bottled beer. The bartender at the bar was pretty cool and relaxed and got us the beers we asked for right away, so no complaints there. The food on the other hand was a bit of an issue. One of the girls got their chicken strips, which were AWFUL according to her while another got the quesadillas, which looked very plain and simple. It came with beans, which looked anything but appetizing. However, my friend and I both got the cheeseburger, which was surprisingly really good, even though it was a simple burger doused in thousand island dressing. The fries were the best part of the whole meal. Overall, I would keep coming back here to get some beers, but that’s really all there is to do here. They have quite a few TV’s as well, so this would be a pretty good place to watch any games while on campus.

I love going to The Pub on campus! The Pub is an awesome place to stop by to watch a sporting event in between classes or even for group meetings. My group and I meet here to work on projects together and it’s perfect. The Pub had beer on tap ranging from light to dark, they even carry some beers in bottles, like my favorite Raspberry Shock Top! :) The food at The Pub is typical Pub-like food, duh. I normally get the cheeseburger, with grilled onions, it comes with a pickle and some fries for about $ 4.19. .. which isn’t too bad if your looking to stay on campus and want something cooked to order verses pre-prepared like at other CSUN eateries. The overall atmosphere is very laid back and easy going, which is why I think its an awesome place to get group work done if you’re comfortable in that kind of environment verses the stuffy olé library. (4-stars if we’re comparing it solely to CSUN eateries, but if we’re comparing it to everything else it’s 3-stars)

This is the go to place for good grub on CSUN’s campus. They have freshly made pizzas, burgers, salads, beer, pasta, chicken wings, nachos, breakfast burritos and even chicken parmesan sandwiches. Not only is the food good, but they have a comfortable atmosphere where we students can study for hours while watching sporting events. Also they periodically have comedians that come in and perform stand-up. 4 stars!
