NYC Hot Bagels & Cafe

Went in this morning and the staff were completely rude and gave me dirty looks when I asked if they had a certain type of bagel. The staff proceeded by whispering something to cashier and I believe they over charged me for my order. Never going back to this place again.

Bagels are very good and fluffy. Service is pleasant and as fast as you would expect for fresh made-​to-​Oder service. Have been coming here for a couple of years and find them to be the best all around in the Closter Norwood Northvale area

I get breakfast sandwiches here often. Both the food, and coffee are vastly better than the bigger, more expensive «Ronnie’s Bagel’s» down the street. I also find the staff friendlier, and better at understanding english. They did once get one of my orders wrong, so now I always check before leaving, but that seems to be a problem with all takeout places lately.

The bagels are rocks that’s literally all there is to it. Once ate a bagel there at a friends house and it was so bad I had to throw the rest of it away, even though I felt horrible I had no choice I was not able to swallow it. If that bagel store got shut down tomorrow nobody would care, in fact I think it would make the people of Northvale happy to know that our town doesn’t want to sell shitty bagels.

Went in here twice and they messed up my order both times. It wasn’t anything complicated; whole wheat bagel with strawberry cream cheese and an everything bagel with lox cream cheese. Simple order; took forever for them to make and when I was ready to eat them while on the road, I realized I got a regular bagel with regular cream cheese and an everything bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Normally I wouldn’t be as mad but everything at this place is extremely expensive too.
My second time, I ordered a chicken salad on a bagel and an everything bagel with lox. I waited and got my bag, checked it before I walked out and I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and a sausage egg and cheese on a bagel.
Never going back. Overpriced, mediocre food and just plain bad service.

Bagels are so good and are made fresh everyday. I go there around 7 oclock and im never dissatisfied. There staff is great and are always a huge help. They are very flexible and kind whenever im there. Their prices are right and are so much cheaper than ronnies. I love their chicken salad and tuna. Its so fresh. Since I am there akmost everyday they now give me extra bagels for free. Great customer service. I am such a loyal customers and i want to give back.

The bagels are a disappointment, as is the service. Not worth going unless they get better staff and start making better bagels.

The bagels are good, they seem fresh, ad there are several cc options, and even several low fat cc options.

They have ice coffee separate from hot coffee… but the ice coffee doesn’t seem to be on ice, it’s jut labeled ice coffee…

However…my biggest problem with this otherwise good bagel store is the coffee in order to get ice coffee, you have to ask the guy working for ice. I swear it took him 7 mins to get me ice, and when I got it, I swear it was old. How can ice be old? It just was odd and frost bitten and all in one piece… Th coffee cups don’t have corresponding lids, he had to get them from inside a cabinet and it seemed dusty. The coffee area itself wasn’t very clean. I haven’t been back.

All in all, the bagels with low fat veg cc is good. I’ve never eaten anything else. They take credit cards!

BUT WAIT, i wrote this review before I posted it, and since then I went back once more. I discovered a conspiracy against the low fat cc I mentioned. ITS NOT LOW FAT! One a saturday morning, all of a sudden, they DONT have low fat cc. I found out because there was a new (ish) girl working there, and I ordered low fat cc, and she said, AND I QUOTE «we dont have low fat cc»
This cant be true, I thought, and said «but you usually have it»
The girl asked the main guy thats always there, and he confirmed what my ears were dreading…“no we dont have it”
«BUT YOU USUALLY DO»
«we usually do but…»
BUT WHAT?
I have been duped.
