Kripalu Yoga is the Yoga of compassion, designed to develop non judgmental self-awareness.
A typical Kripalu Yoga session begins with warm-up movements and breath awareness to prepare for yoga postures. The heart of each class is a sequence of postures (asana) that stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. Particular attention is focused on integrating all layers (koshas) of the individual — body, breath, mind, and spirit. Each class ends with deep relaxation and meditation. Because of the gradient approach to the postures offered, those new to yoga can practice alongside seasoned practitioners, with each student at their own desired level of intensity within the same class.
