Good Sushi! I approve this place. Quick service and fresh food. Wish they had more Kitchen food and set dishes for Sushi platers. Hot green tea kept coming.

Another fantastic updated rating for this place! I recently went there about 2 weeks ago with my mom and all I have to say is AMAZING ! The sushi was fantastic and mouth watering fresh! They always have specials of the day and good customer service. Good sushi spots are hard to come by, but this place has always remained a hit! I don’t get go here so much bc I moved out of the area, but I try to make it back any chance I get! Worth it!

This review follows an exceptional experience we had at Kazu tonight. The service was unparalleled — the staff were so warm, welcoming and attentive. The host (manager?), sushi chef and waiter (s) made us feel like VIPs. The sushi was fresh and delicious, as usual. We had one of the special rolls, spicy scallop roll, salmon avo roll, tuna avocado hand roll and uni sushi. We also ordered the tempura ice cream (comes with tempura banana too), the perfect treat to finish this spectacular meal.
To make our experience even more memorable, on our way out we were given a sushi kit with soy sauce dishes, chopsticks, etc. in a nice box with a bow (in addition to happy holiday wishes). Kazu is the best!

Conveniently located right next to Bow Tie Cinemas Regent 8 in South Norwalk, Kazu is ideal for date night. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, there’s an interesting variety of dumplings to try (I recommend the butternut squash variety) and the signature rolls are incredibly satisfying. However, the true mark of a good sushi place in my eyes is the uni (sea urchin), and I’m happy to report that Kazu’s uni is fantastic, with or without a quail egg on top!

Lunch specials are a great deal. $ 11 for a bento box that includes an egg roll, California roll, entrée, salad, and appetizer! $ 10 for 2 specialty rolls.

I was looking for a well priced fun sushi restaurant in the Norwalk area and Kazu did not disappoint. Called to make a reservation for a Friday night and the gentleman who answered the phone was courteous and enthusiastic. Our table was ready for us as soon as we arrived and a waiter came by quickly to take drink orders. I ordered the gyoza to start and it was delicious, not too hot and not too greasy like some places. For dinner I tried the Lady Love roll, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and tobiko wrapped in pink soy paper. I really like spicy tuna and really like shrimp tempura so I figured a roll that combined both would be a home run. It was delicious. The contrast of the raw tuna with the crunch of the tempura made for a great texture. The roll was a pretty decent size so I was not left feeling hungry.
The ambience at Kazu is trendy but also family and group friendly. They were relatively busy on that Friday night but food service wasn’t slow and tables were turning over at a good pace. I’ll definitely be returning to Kazu and bringing family and friends!

It’s really one of the best sushi places in ff county. Solid. Consistent. I have gone here from time to time over past 5 years. Always good.

I love this place! It’s a great value and the food and service is always good. They have great lunch specials. I usually go for the two roll special (two rolls with soup or salad) for $ 10 or the bento box for $ 11. Everything is fresh!

Excellent and friendly service. Sushi was outstanding! Parking can be a challenge but worth it.

Went here for valentines day! Best. Sushi. Ever! I really loved every single roll, the staff was great and we didn’t even need a reservation.

Love Kazu! I have been many times, both to dine in and take out. I have really liked almost everything I have tried, but the crunchy samurai roll is my all time favorite. The sushi is fresh and served beautifully. The service is great too! It’s right next door to the movie theater, so it’s a great place to go before a movie. A must try.

Delicious! I tried Kazu for the first time last week and ordered Sushi Takeout. It was the best sushi I’ve had in the city of Norwalk. They have Zagat Ratings and plaques to prove it on the wall and the live up to the hype. The sushi was fresh and prices reasonable. Will definitely return.

Sushi was very fresh and the service was also good. This was one of the better sushi place around norwalk and Stamford area. It was not too pricey !

Love coming here for Happy Hour. Sushi has never disappointed, and now when I go elsewhere for sushi, I’ll find myself disappointed at the size of anywhere else’s.

I came here with a friend and got two rolls, a shrimp tempura ($ 7) and dragon ($ 12). The dragon roll was just ok, but I really enjoyed my shrimp tempura, even if the rolls were a little big. Pork gyoza were also great — the vinegar/​soy sauce mix they pair it with is perfect, and it’s a great size to share with another person as an appetizer. A bit overpriced, but prob moderate for a place like Norwalk.

This place is great!
I came here with my boyfriend and we sat at the bar. The sushi chef was very eager to tell us about the sushi and give us suggestions.
The fish was all prepared very well with nice presentations and it tasted fresh and delicious. Also, the ambiance and décor is very nice inside and very welcoming.
Over all I had a very pleasant experience, only suggestion is to ask how much something costs before ordering. We ordered the fatty tuna on the sushi chefs recommendation which goes by market price and we didn’t realize it was 8 dollars a sushi piece. Eek!

Nice ambiance, good sushi, attentive service. Surprisingly busy for early on a Wednesday night, but that must be a good sign. Yummy pork gyoza and shrimp tempura roll. Good deal of happy hour apps and rolls for $ 4 (5:30−7:00 mon-​thurs). Good super kazu roll and rainbow roll. Something not quite perfect in the philadelphia roll, but still not bad. 3 waitstaff tag team helping everyone. Slightly pricey. Good meal and I will be back.

Best Sushi is Norwalk.
Sashimi pieces are huge and the super white tuna melts in your mouth. Try the blue fin tuna when it is available, the best! Only reason for the 4 out fo 5 stars is that this place does not have a very «happening» bar and is mostly just a restaurant, I would prefer a better bar in the place.

The waiters though was over attentive, she kept coming asking the same questions and really pissed us off.

I’ve been here twice recently and have been pleasantly surprised at how good it is!
The place has street parking which can sometimes be hard to find but not impossible. When you walk in you are greeted by some fantastic and relaxing décor. There is plentiful seating which doesn’t have an overcrowded feel even on a busy night.
Monday night hosts a half off bottle of wine night, which includes the wine from the special offering menu. Also on the special offering menu are different rolls and appetizers which are delicious.
I’ve tried a number of the appetizers and found myself going back to the coconut curry soup. Delicious, hot, and not overly creamy. It was a delight! From the sashimi menu I have tried just about everything, the pieces are larger than usual and the prices are fair. The sashimi is fresh and just fantastic! I’ve tried a couple of rolls and they were great as well. Haven’t tried any dessert because I’ve been stuffed from such a great meal!
Definitely will be returning here, still have a few more things on the menu to sample!
