Okay, let’s cut these kids some slack. I was here on a Sunday evening and the place was being slammed. At least 8 cars in the drive thru, 9 customers in line and everyone behind the counter working their butts off. Two registers were going strong. I placed my order to dine in, sat down and I proceeded to watch the show. I saw one guy appear to be complaining while he was placing his order. The staff was kicking out the orders as fast as they could. The customers I could see were walking out with substantial amounts of food. I got my order in 14 minutes. The lobby was empty in 23 minutes. Only one customer was visibly upset about the time he had to wait for his food. Guess who, the same guy who was complaining when he was placing his order. The food I ordered was hot, properly cooked and I received ample amount of the requested condiments. When the counter was empty, one of the employees behind the counter came on this side and properly cleared and cleaned all the tables. I would definitely come back. When I do, I hope is busy, because the show was as good as the food.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We had ordered the 16 piece Long Johns Silvers chicken meal. So first they try and give me then KFC chicken.(This place is KFC/LJS). I politely tell them it isn’t what I ordered. The drive thru lady then proceeds to give me attitude and says it’ll be five minutes before I get that. So I give her the benefit of the doubt and say okay and ask if I should go park so I don’t hold the line up and she says okay. After 15 minutes of waiting outside, I still don’t have chicken! So I go inside to see if they even remembered if I was out there. About five minutes later, they gave me what was supposed to be chicken. Of course when I get to my car, I realize it smells like fish. So my brother and I look and what do you know, it’s fish! So I proceed to go back inside again to tell them I ordered chicken. The last working the drive thru then proceeded to yell«WHATISSHETALKINGABOUT!!» Excuse me? I can hear you. Absolutely poor service. The lady working the counter was absolutely sweet and offered me a smile and an apology saying she will fix it. I have zero complaints about her, she did everything right. As for the other lady, if you don’t like your job, quit. Don’t treat customers poorly because you don’t want to be there. You definitely shouldn’t yell about them when they are in hearing distance either, especially when ITWASYOURMISTAKE. Oh yeah, and then they didn’t have tartar sauce. :(Definitely never going back and posting my experience everywhere. This location is by far the worst I have ever been to. It shouldn’t even be open.

My wife wanted to try John Long Silvers, wow what a disappointment that was. The food was just bad, no flavor and small portions. Price wise was expensive. Even on the KFC too.

My biggest complaint with this place is the service. It’s lousy. I have gone to this particular store about 5 times in the past 10 years. Each time I go the experience never gets better. There’s constant staff turn-around which is what makes it worse. The employees are usually rude. No manners and don’t ever acknowledge your business by just saying a simple«thank you» which takes less than 2 seconds. I’m a huge LJS fan since I was a kid. Out of many stores I’ve eaten at, the food here is the worst compared to the others(and I’ve eaten at ones in Virginia, Texas, and all over southern California). I wouldn’t say the food is «gross» but like people say, there’s something about the quality that isn’t quite right. The food is definitely fresh but because the restaurant also has KFC with it, I’m pretty sure they use the same fryers to make everything so it all tastes sorta the same. Hard to explain it. Not having ANY condiments available, unless you wait around forever to get one from somebody behind the counter, is very annoying. And I mean ANY! Even napkins, ketchup, or forks. I recommend asking for a stupid bathroom coin at the same time you order or you might be waiting a while. Nothing in this place is ever clean. The bathrooms are dirty and need an upgrade, the tables and floors are usually dirty and you have to clean them yourself with wetnaps, even the windows are a mess. I wish the management would do something to turn this place around but they probably don’t care.

There use to be a location 5 minutes away from me but they closed down a few years ago & ever since then — we’ve been driving far for some LJS. I will say however that the quality has gone down so much since then. Now with most stores combined into a KFC, its just not the same. When we went to GA, they had a lot of LJS over there that were still solo stores. This Norwalk location was okay — customer service was okay, it took a while for the girl to get her register to work but thats fine. I guess we were the first customers of the day because they girl said it was going to take a bit of time for our food since they were going to make it fresh. Not sure how fresh, lol but it tasted good.

Worst place ever its so dirty inside. they don’t clean the tables the floor was gross. The service was horrible. I have gone there for the drive thru and even that has horrible service. Im all about giving places second chances and I did with this place still stand by what I said. Worst place.

refused to honor the free fish offer on Long John Silvers free fish day and were rude about it… Must be owned by a foreigner… Go figure… Based on their behavior, we won’t ever come back to that place.

Today I was there at about 12noon for Long John Silver’s Nationwide Promotion Free Fish & Fries. It seem this Franchise never participates. It’s the only one in a 5 miles walking distances from Lakewood, Bellflower and Downey. My wife and I have to drive all the way to Torrance just to avail of this special promo coz we loved your fish & chips & were disappointed when the nearest LJS told us that they don’t have that promo.

Wow, never again! Fried fish are crispy on the outside, wet and mushy on the inside. Gross! And I eat anything that’s edible and I’m not picky with my food at all, but I had to spit it out. Definitely the worst food in my book. It’s my fault though. El Hubby warmed me to get KFC instead, which they share restaurant with, but I was too stubborn. I was so curious to try since I I’ve been seeing their commercials for awhile now. The only tasty thing that was on my tray was the crushed fried batter thinngies they put underneath the hush puppies. That, I recommend.

I’ve been nursing a cold for the past few days, and yesterday driving around for work I knew I wasn’t necessarily hungry but I knew I had to eat something. I wasn’t even looking for something amazing — just something to keep me full for the rest of my shift. I was originally planning to go to the McDonalds that shares this lot — but then I saw the KFC and thought some chicken would be nice. Then I saw it had a LJS connected to it — I’ve never had LJS before so I thought I would give it a try. I should have stuck to Mcdonalds. Seriously this was just AWFUL! I ordered the chicken littles combo with fries and an additional side of one piece of fish. The Littles are TINY which I get that is part of the marketing for them they are meant to be small but they are seriously just a tiny bit bigger than a packet of ranch(see photo). Good thing you get two — except these ones were just weird. The pickles on them were dry and tasteless although all the rest of the sandwich tasted like pickle. it was a waste — half way though the first one I just took to eating the chicken and leaving the rest. The fries they gave me were thin cut(not the normal KFC wedges) and stone cold. The fish was somewhat okay, but I ended up leaving half because apparently there was no tartar sauce for the fish. This whole place is a waste!

OMG so I have been craving Long John Silver’s forever now and last night me and my hubby went to this location to what I thought have a great dining experience. It was just problem after problem with this place. So let me give you the rundown of our experience and tell you why WEWILLNOTBERETURNINGBACKHEREEVERAGAIN! We walk in and there are lots of people waiting for their orders(should have tipped us off) and a long line. Then we get up to the counter and that went fine the manager took our order and we sat down and waited… and waited and waited, so I got up to inquire about our food after 20 minutes had past and was told that he would get our order right away, he also gave me our cups to serve our drinks. My husband got Dr. Pepper and next to the soft drinks I saw two Tea Containers one marked Unsweetened Tea and the other marked Sweet Tea I decided to try their Sweet Tea since it is my favorite. To my surprise it was the nastiest tea ever and I told the guy behind the counter that I think they got their tea mixed up because not only was it unsweetened but it tasted really bad or old, he didn’t speak very good English and laughed and said I know, they know and handed me a whole had full of sweet and low. So after we finally got our order we both got the Fish & Shrimp Platters(L8) combos with mac n cheese and mashed potatoes and hushpuppies. My hushpuppies were the only think I enjoyed. My Macaroni and Cheese tasted really bad. My mashed Potatoes were cold as was the gravy! My fish and shrimp were so salty we couldn’t finish them, I latterly left a whole piece of fish and dropped a shrimp and didn’t care(which is rare for a fat girl, LOL) Next time I want fish I will drive to a pier rather it be Santa Monica or Redondo!!!

7÷1÷118:45pm kfc/long john silver’s. ordered 2 meals, kfc chicken strips and LJS conbo chicken /fish. when picking up at the counter, was informed that they were out of hushpuppies so they gave me a biscuit instead… i wanted hushpuppies! then with biscuit in hand, they were out of honey… crap!!! Ok, so back to my meal before it gets cold, too late, my girls kfc chicken is warm but not hot and is chewy because it’s old. it also looks like the fry grease was old. My LJS combo is also kinda warm but cool in the middle. it looks dark brown and extra greasy. it’s chewy and i almost forgot, they were out of TARTERSAUCE! A fish place out of tarter sauce!!! go figuer. the only good thing was the kfc mashed potatos, hot with hot gravy… i even took a picture of the food we tried to eat… peeled off most of the batter on the fish and chicken just so we could eat. when i called back to complain more than once, the manager is out and has not called back after a few days… so much for customer service or hot food. never going back again.

The initial impression I had when I first passed by this place was«Awesome!» After all, a KFC and a Long John Silver’s all-in-one?! So the family decided to check the place out last week. Unfortunately you can’t judge a book by it’s cover, which was very evident once I stepped inside. First off, it was like a zillion degrees inside. Mom asked the counter help, and was simply told that the AC was out. At least try to do something about it! I finally just propped open the door with a chair to let in some ventilation. It was a beautiful day with nice weather; too bad there aren’t any outdoor seating. Ordered off the LJS menu to try out the fried fish and chicken plank. Both were VERY salty, as if they fry everything in the same KFC herbs and spices. The hush puppies were a bit overcooked too. All the utensils, napkins, and condiments are behind the counter, which I find very inconvenient. The restrooms require tokens. Again, inconvenient. At least the fountain drink dispenser is available in front of the counter. So sad. This place has potential, but they’ve just done everything wrong that day.

It’s a thousand degrees inside the lobby. The employee served the wrong thing twice and we had to wait even longer for the correct order. LJ batter of the chicken plank tasted like a stale tortilla chip. I think this is one step away from hell… With the heat and life sucking atmosphere, no one inside looked happy…

Horrible location. Not that any fast food deserves a standing ovation, but really? They closed and locked the lobby 30 minutes prior to the posted time. The drive thru employee was extremely rude and obviously was not well equipped to handle this difficult job. Worst of all, they ran out of chicken. No, they weren’t going to make more. They were done for the night. All they had was fish sticks. Ugh. Never again. I’m so glad this«restaurant» doesn’t exist close to where I live.

Blue moon must’ve came out that night cuz I rarely go to this place. Maybe I was feeling nostalgic about the days when KFC was really good. Anyways, I stopped by and ordered a chicken tender combo thingy. I guess one of their advertisement banners on the window grabbed my attention and diverted me to KFC rather then going to Mcdonald’s next door and ordering my 20 piece nuggets. If you want a cheap chicken fix, then come here and ask them for the ORGANIC chicken. ahahha.

Salt — Sal — Salz — Shio — Sel — Sale — Zout Grease — Grasa — Fett — Abura — Graisse — Grasso — Vet The language doesn’t matter. The craving hit for both of these things and my belly would take all comers. However, work is busy today so I was going to be running short on time. Then it hit me… what’s greasy and salty? Fish & Chips from Long John Silver’s. I did quick Unilocal search and it wanted to route me 12 miles away. No way. On a whim, I checked the LJS site and there was a new one located 10 mins from the office. That’ll do! Lunch consisted of 3 pieces of crispy, greasy, salty, crunchy fish, fries, a couple of Hush Puppies, and of course those lil fried crumplets that sit in the bottom of the paper boat. Not too shabby, and I think I’m good on the grease and salt for a good while now. =) Pics are up. Oh, and in case you’re curious, the above multi-lingual portion goes English — Spanish — German — Japanese — French — Italian — Dutch. =P
