Triple S Carpet & Drapery Cleaners

I went in there not knowing what to expect. The girl who helped me when I went there did not have a customer service background. She was abrupt on the border of rude. Even though she assured me that the rug could be cleaned she made sure to write on the ticket (no guarantee because the guarantee was twice as much money and she said that they could clean it). I bought in an oriental rug that is 20 years old and was going to throw away until I went looking around and the best I could find of decedent quality was more than $ 1,000 and just was not worth it.
The carpet was ready for pick up in a week. I went to pick it up. the women who was at the desk when I went to pick it up was pleasant. I paid for the rug. brought it home. It did not have an odor when it was opened up. A few hours after I brought it home it started to rain. When it was lying down in a closed room (and high humidity) it was not right. I thought about taking it back but I did not want to have a fight with them. I rolled it up and after the rain stopped put it outside over a rack to air out. Then i took isopropyl alcohol and sprayed it lightly on the entire rug (outside and the rug is black with some designs on the edge).Isopropyl alcohol kills mold and mildew and once it dries its smell is gone and so is the smell from the rug. 24 hours later I brought it back inside laid it down flat and no smell and is perfect.
The reason why they got the 3 stars is because all they care about is the money. Their customer service is not outstanding it is actually lacking. I also did not like the fact that they wrote in big letters no guarantee even though they assured me that they would be able to clean the rug and remove the odor. If they just made an effort and if the girl did not have the attitude I would have given them 4 stars.
On the Plus they did clean the rug (even if I did have to tweak it)-however the girl should have been honest and said that she did not think that she could get the odor out-​after all she is the professional. In all fairness they did save me about $ 800 but I also have a 20 year old rug.

TERRIBLE service. I brought my carpet in that had a slight odor to it as it had been heavily used. I purchased the regular cleaning as well as the deodorizing treatment. When I received the newly cleaned carpet the odor was exactly the same if not worse, so I brought it back where the head woman quickly came to the conclusion that it was unfixable. She could tell this with such ease that I saw it unacceptable that the service had let me purchase the deodorizing treatment knowing FULL WELL how this odor could not be fixed. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AND ADVISE YOU NOT TO EITHER!

Lets make this a LESS painful review read compared to the people I’ve been subjected to on the phone shall we?
5 stars for Cliff– he cleaned our bed room carpet perfectly. He was prompt, courteous, professional & fast. He answered my questions, gave me some helpful suggestions & was pleasant.
However, the two females w major attitude & lack of professionalism that I’ve been subjected to each time I’ve called to make a simple appointment are rude, lack basic customer service skills & were condescending.
If it wasn’t for Cliff — I would NEVER suggest or use their services again.

I love this company! I was hesitant to use them because my rugs are antique Persian ones and didn’t want any shampoo or cleaning agent smells coming from them or any damage done to them. I will say that when I first called the person who answered the phone said there’s no fragrance used in their cleaning products but upon a little annoying persistence by me she put me through to an owner (I think) who said there’s a very light fragrance. Since they have pick up and drop off service (for very reasonable rates!) he offered to bring a sample so I’d get an idea of how strong the odor is! So, the sample had a undetectable odor and I let them take the carpet. They held it in storage for free until we moved to our new home. When they dropped off the carpet I noticed some threads were sticking out. I called them thinking they caused it and they were so gracious and picked up the carpet again (I was a no-​show during the first pick up attempt too!). Mind you, even the people who pick up and drop off are so kind and wonderful. So they took another look at the carpet and asked if I have a cat. I was so mortified because until last summer I did indeed have a cat and I did remember her sticking her claws in the carpet. It was very embarrassing for me but they were as gracious as ever about it. They actually snipped the threads and assured me it does no damage to the integrity of the rug. There was no extra charge for that. These people are rug experts and their customer service is outstanding.

A necessary evil.
Actually went for a quote the other day and it was such a bad experience, I took my items and left. Luckily, my wonderful dry cleaner was able to clean the household gods themselves.

Had excellent carpet cleaning here!
