This review is intended for the«orange chicken«by far the worst I’ve ever tried. Never again trying it not even if I had a coupon… I don’t know what where they thinking!

Food is good and consistent but I always feel a little grimy going here. Above the typical mom-and-pop experience and below a typical chain fast food experience. From the look of the place to the less-than-enthusiastic employees, the reason I go here isn’t for the experience, it’s because I can count on the food and get a decent value for what it is.

Good was mediocre even for a yoshiniya to begin with and to top It off the orange chicken was the worst I have ever had the chicken had been deep fried for so long that there was no actual sustainable chicken left to eat they were just hard crispified craters. It even bent the crap out of my fork just trying to eat it. Big disappointment

The food is fine there but don’t even do drive thru… every time I’ve done the drive thru, I’m fearful I’m going to run out of gas if I keep the engine going. The wait is soooooooooooooo long and one time, one guy at the order window compensated me with a large soda but last night, the girl, all she said was sorry, took my money and gave me my food! Plus why are they putting the ginger in loose plastic like vegetable bags? So unsanitary! Anyway, the wait is long! I was not happy about that.

Place has gotten more customers after sending out coupons in the mail. We used to come before they sent out coupons and the place was empty. Service is ok. The ladys are nice but the younger girls always look tired and arent that great. Now that we always come in with coupons the place is full. Food tastes good.

Ive never complained or written a review but today kinda disappointed me. I usually come to Yoshinoya and order a combo meal which has a ton of meat, both chicken and stake or whatever the other one is. Today I came to get the same thing and came home and got disappointed that there was only 3 strips of each meet, LOL. C’mon almost 8 bucks for a plate full of rice and 3 small strips of chicken and stake? I’m not sure if this is even a combo bowl, looks a lot different from what I always get. Ive never complained or reviewed anywhere but this just got me mad enough as I was expecting the same like before where my bowl is packed with both meats and rice.

Japanese, drive-thru fast food. You can’t expect the world. This location is on the corner of alondra and bloomfield ave. It has it’s own parking spots but there is quite a bit of traffic in the plaza from stater bros customers and the other small businesses within. The drive thru line is usually long and each time I have gone, there have always been at least 3 cars ahead of me. The staff member taking the orders is efficient but their biggest problem is completing the orders. It takes an awful long time to get your food. Luckily, I live close by so my food doesn’t stay in the Styrofoam boxes long enough for it to condensate. Beef: The entrée looks very appetizing each time I get it but the brisket always has a lot of fat and is overly sauced. It makes it pretty difficult to take down without a good drink chaser. chicken: The chicken flavor intensity is a bit easier to control since I can ask for the sauce on the side. Unlike the beef, it comes marinated. The quality of meat is a lot less fatty and more palatable. Orange chicken: Keep in mind, I only tried this because they sent us a coupon in the mail for two orange chickens for $ 8. In my heart, I already knew there would not be anyone who can replace panda express’s orange chicken. The sauce was more tangerine like compared to orange chicken sauce. For those who know their citrus flavors, you will know what I am talking about. The meat that is «hidden» inside the batter does not really taste like meat… very processed and it kind of just blends into the batter but with a different color. I knew the flavor would not be in any competition with Panda but damn, I don’t even know if it was chicken I was eating… The prices for the entrees here are pretty steep without a coupon. I honestly do not find the food worthy enough for the price. I would personally choose to go to another asian fast food if I wasn’t so lazy.

11:45 on a Thursday. Taking too long to place an order(2 people ahead of me). 6 cars in drive thru 4 people waiting for their food. Only 3 people working. Not good for a lunch hour.

If this is the better orange chicken, I’m glad I didn’t get the worse one. Not very good.

We went thru the drive thru and ordered orange chicken. I had to tell them three times what we wanted. I knew they were going to mess our order up so I parked once we got our food and sure enough we were govern teriyaki chicken instead of orange chicken..

All my life I grew up seeing Yoshinoya Beef Bowl restaurants and I never had the desire to go. About a year ago my coworker wanted it for lunch… I thought it was going to be like a Flame Broiler with teriyaki beef and I wasn’t interested. She assured me that was not the case. She warned me that the beef looks weird, but to trust her and eat it. I am glad I did. All I have ever had here is the small beef bowl — the small is pretty big for lunch, so unless you are freaking starving, the small is a good size. I have also had the spring rolls. I really like it. The beef does look weird, it’s like meat ribbons. I know that doesn’t sound appetizing at all, but it is really tasty. It comes with onions that have been simmering with the beef in some sort of tasty sauce. It is served on white rice. There is nothing else to it. I always add their pink ginger to my bowl, it gives it a delicious kick. I have been here a handful of times in the past year. Only eaten inside once and done drive thru the rest of the times. The drive thru is pretty slow, but it’s worth the wait. There was only one time my meat was too dry, every other time it has been great. Their spring rolls are pretty good too, they are on the sweeter side and they are flavorful.

So we where in the area and we had to give them a 3rd chance. Well at least our food was done right and the way we order it with extra beef juice and Xtra onions. But they still for got to give us our darn drinks. I guess it’s better than the last 2 times but that’s it. Time to find a better place. Closer to our home. La Palma it was worth the drive in the past to drive 20 min away for the food but this place need to do a over haul and get there people right. It’s sad especially seeing they had a training session going on in the facility. I hope they don’t train the rest of the new employees the old way. Extremely lost total faith in this place.

I was expecting more, but I wasn’t impressed. There weren’t as many options as I’d like. The taste also wasn’t as good as I expected although the portion size was fine. I’d rather have flame broiler, waba grill, or grill town to be honest. Very quick to make my order tho! Food is hot, but I wasn’t completely digging the sauce… the spring rolls are tasty with sweet and sour sauce but leave an interesting aftertaste. I got the Angus beef bowl… slight reminder of soap but I guess I liked it?

The first time i had Yoshinoya was 30 years ago, I believe that i was 7 or 8 years old at the time. I can’t remember where exactly. I do remember it was a very cold day, and my dad ordered the beef bowl. That’s was in my mind the greatest bowl ever. If you eat enough of the same things over and over, you start to detect tiny differences in flavor and texture, in the softness of the rice or sweetness of three sauce. My normal eating spot for the combo bowl is in Corona, the Yoshinoya there is very nice, in terms of quality and cleanliness I give that location a three and half star. This YosHinoya has two stars because it felt not cleaned, there was a bad smell in the dining area, the quality of food was average. I Ordered a couple of egg rolls. It was not good and the sauce did little to help. the texture on the out side was good but the middle was soggy and felt really uncomfortable in your mouth. the wings were decent enough, it was not spectacular but it wasn’t bad. It was a little sweet, and if you had it with some white Rice, made it more balance flavor. Still a good place to go for a beef bowl.

Went through the drive-thru, they took my order, proceeded to pay and then they said to go around to the front and they will deliver it to my car once I park out front. What was the point of me going through the drive thru then??? Especially since I waited in front for like 10 minutes…

Quick, tasty, and easy! I usually get a beef bowl at the drive-thru when I’m too lazy to change out of PJs =] A regular sized beef bowl is less than $ 5! Good price for good food!

I like yoshinoya in Japan. I know its for the poor people to eat there but I don’t care. I love my beef bowl with raw egg and soy sauce. In US, its different. They don’t have raw egg, they have teriyaki bowl with nasty green onions and sesames on top of my chicken bowl. I still come to get my fix of beef bowl, extra juice. They often get my orders wrong but I am not expecting much.
