Specialties
We help students learn to read and comprehend to their potential.
We identify strengths and weaknesses that may be affecting school performance. Our research-validated instruction is based on an individual’s learning needs.
Some students come to us with previous diagnoses such as dyslexia, autism spectrum disorders, or general learning challenges – and we make a difference for each of them.
Some students seek our help to enhance their skills or to just make learning easier – and we do.
Our unique instruction enables our students to achieve years of gain in reading or comprehension after only a few weeks of instruction.
History
Established in 1986.
When Nanci Bell and Patricia Lindamood established the first Lindamood-Bell Learning Center, their vision was to help all students learn to their potential – no matter their diagnosis or previous struggle with language and literacy.
So far, we have taught over 35,000 individuals of all ages and backgrounds at our 60+ Learning Centers.
We are committed to the ongoing analysis of our efficacy. To that end, we have partnered with such institutions as MIT, Wake Forest, and Georgetown University to conduct neurological and behavioral research.
Our work has been recognized be the U.S. Department of Education, and in Newsweek, Time, US News and World Report, CNN, PBS and various scientific journals such as Neuron and NeuroImage.
