I was referred to Bob Melone at Radius Financial. He left me a message to talk to his assistant if he wasn’t avaliable. I ended up talking to his assistant Aubrey who took all my information for a VA loan. She said she would call me back and I never heard back from her. I called her a few times and left several voicemails checking up on things and my calls were never returned. Every time I called they said she was unavailable. Being «unavailable» seems to be the norm there. I finally gave up and went with a different mortgage company and I couldn’t be happier with the mortgage I received. I wouldn’t recommend Radius Financial to anyone. I don’t know how they stay in business.

Please do not use Radius if you want open and honest communication. I used them once and they were great, the second time was a headache with multiple «shady» dealings. Once I closed on the home they sold my loan (which is not unusual) but the new company is trying to change the terms I agreed to with Radius. When we contacted Radius they said they overlooked it and now 4 weeks have gone by and they haven’t resolved it.

We worked with Bill Asta. The entire process was excellent from start to finish. We closed in less than 30 days. He has also helped some other family members and their experience was also outstanding.

We have worked with Radius on the purchase and refinance of our current home. We had a great experience working with Bob Melone and Aubrey! I am never comfortable dealing with financial matters, but Bob and Aubrey made everything easy to understand for us. We had some last minute issues when purchasing our home, and Bob and Aubrey were able to help us figure out the best financial situation for us.

Todd Belham walked me through every single step and explained everything without ever making me feel «stupid» for asking questions. I could reach out to him day, nights, and weekends he was ALWAYS there for me.
They honestly took all the stress out of home buying… Radius and Todd have a referral for life. They even got me the best Home Insurance rate by FAR so I got it all done in 1 place.
My wife and I are so happy in our home and in the process… THANK YOU for everything, I could not imagine ever going anywhere else

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with radius financial group inc. I worked with Sarah Valentini and her team. They truly made my obtaining my mortgage such a quick and painless process. Being a first time home buyer is nerve wracking, but I had such peace of mind because Sarah was there to answer all my questions and lead me through the whole process. The underwriting process was very straight forward. I was told exactly what I needed to provide and it was such a breeze to electronically submit documentation through their secure emailing system. (This company takes your privacy and security very seriously!)
Buying a house and getting a mortgage are serious business! radius did everything they could to make it a lot less scary. A few months after I closed, I even got a check-​in call. It’s nice to see a company that prides themselves in providing top notch customer service. Highly recommended!

I am providing two stars because the President of Radius in Norwell, I believe did try very hard to resolve the multiple errors made by the mortgage broker out of the West Springfield office. Tom Higgins was also extremely helpful, courteous, professional and polite.
From poor communication (claiming documents were missing and repeatedly not following up with my accountant as my accountant asked but contacting her once and claiming she spoke to her several times, when she did not.) Telling me repeatedly pages were missing from tax returns but yet not identifying what pages were missing when two entire forms were sent by the accountant to the mortgage broker.
Telling me repeatedly «after these 4 pieces or 5 pieces are submitted, we are all set». Then calling me up two days later and asking for new pieces of information that had not been mentioned.
Claiming that there were no extra points for the loan, when there were, after I specficially asked if there were points. «We don’t charge points». Having a closing date delayed 5 days as a result. The delay in the closing date resulted in the moving company, the gas company, the electric company, the cable company all having to be contacted and new dates given.
Hanging the phone up on myself and my parttner. I believe that midway through the loan process, the mortgage broker, became overwhelmed working with myself and my partner and exhibited significant changes in her presentation, affect and personality.
I did initially tell the mortgage broker, my partner was in the process of selling his condo. I was helping my father sell his house where I have lived for 11 years and that the house was in a trust that needed to be dissolved and that we were purchasing a new property.
From the getgo I was as clear. If the broker felt that she was unable to work with us, she should have had better insight into her own limitations given the fact that I outlined what we were dealing with. In addition I told her I was dealing with a parent who was experiencing significant cognitive deterioration. It was incumbent upon the broker to refer to us to someone who was a better match if she had too much on her plate.
Her conduct was unacceptable, disrespectful and unethical. I conveyed and shared my concerns about her hanging up on the phone with the President of Radius and the situation improved once I identified these concerns.
However, given what an unpleasant overall experience this has been and mind you, my credit is stellar and one of my scores is 806, I cannot even begin to fathom what a travesty and potential nightmare Radius would be for somebody who has less than stellar credit.
At various points I felt and still feel that the experience with Radius would proably be comparable to or fall somewhere between having a triple root canal and absess addressed without pain killers, waterboarding or possibly a difficult pregnancy. The answer to terrorism from a policy perspective is not drones… it is subjecting enemy combatants to a loan through Radius Financial… So I strongly encourage anyone who is significantly masochistic or just traumatized… if you really have low self esteem and need to feel less than worthless by all means initiate this process.
I might add, on a serious note Radius elevates and gives new meaning to the word buffoonery and incompetence par excellence

It was our second mortgage loan through this company in three years. First house: bigger house, bigger loan and smaller down payment. The second loan was not another charm. Second house: slightly smaller, slightly smaller loan and bigger down payment. The second loan process was one of the most UNPLEASANT and STRESSFUL experiences of our personal financial lives. We knew this was a large company. There were some good people but the few people that were calling the shots, were so unprofessional and unresponsive. The closing date was postponed and we loss our locked in rate. The pre-​qualify process was a breeze. It was done over the phone and email and completed over-​night. Our first and last mistake. The loan process was a nightmare but we had committed our loan request through Radius so we were at their mercy and we were in for a bad roller coaster ride. We gave them all the documentations they asked for within two weeks of the P&S signing and the loan officer told us everything looked good. We waited and waited without a word from them for about two weeks so we called them to find out the delays. They never told us of any issues but asked for more documentations; some that didn’t exist, redundant documentation, or documentations that were completely outside the scope of any loan application. The underwriter wouldn’t approve the loan until he was convinced the sun would rise the next morning. This wasn’t our first mortgage loan process. We’ve gone through several and nothing so negative and frustrating can be compared. We, both, have above average paying and stable professions, long work histories, good credit histories, more than comfortable savings, collateral assets plus a confirmed 20% down payment. We never thought this loan would be so difficult to secure but this deal appeared to be in jeopardy and the seller’s new house was contingent upon the completion of our closing. The seller and we had a lot to lose. The loan commitment was delayed without any explanations. After another two weeks of unreasonable demands, Radius did provide a limited commitment to a loan, but it was contingent upon more documentation. If we could walk away from this, we would have. We got approved the afternoon before the day we closed. The seller’s deal was on the verge of falling through if it went pass another day. The seller incurred storage penalties, we ended up with a higher interest rate costing us more tabled money, our move into the new house started in December, which caused more difficulties because of the harsher weather and it felt like we were bent over and dry probed with a full size mag light. Needless to say, we are in the process of refinancing for a lower rate through another finance company. So the repercussions of the Radius nightmare continues to ripple through our bowels, costing us more thousands of dollars. We have locked-​in for the same rate we should’ve gotten from the Radius loan. Radius is hit or miss. We experienced both ends and that left a bitter taste. It’s a gamble dealing with Radius. We will never use Radius again and wanted others to know this company was a complete and utter disappointment this final time.
