How does this place only have 3 stars!!! From Brockton now living in Utah. When I come to visit my family and I always make a stop for San Pietro’s! Carpaccio Di Manzo is amazing and one of my favorite starters also no lie the risotto Ai Porcini is to die for! Also love the parm! Steak is incredible you cant cut it with a fork. Great wine list! Amazing food, amazing service! Owner is always there when we visit, and is always nice, and always smiling. I really can’t say enough good stuff about this place! Wish I was there right now! Till next time San Pietro!

Absolutely loved everything here! A little pricey but everything was delicious; the Zucchini flowers will blow your mind. And the Chicken Saltimbuco(spelling) thing– drool! Haha. The dessert cart is to die for too. Drinks are great– staff has always been knowledgeable about the menu. I can’t wait to go back!

I have never written a Unilocal review but felt compelled after tonight. We took my mom here for Mother’s Day din & had such a delicious meal. Our server Taylor was so amazing. She made great recommendations(saltimbocca was to die for) & was so incredibly professional. I would absolutely recommend coming here. Bring your appetite! Ask for Taylor she’s awesome

Went with 4 adults and one baby. The place is very loud so i didn’t feel bad about having my 2 year old with us :) Our meal was excellent, filet, fettuccini w blognese, linguine w clams… all delicious. Service was excellent and attentive. Will definitely be returning!

Very busy, and not enough or competent staff. Had a reservation but they had a hard time finding it, was seated fairly fast. Waiter either was new or clueless. Just couldn’t get his timing right, had to beg for drinks. Linguine was way over cooked, bread tasteless, two things that should be gimme in a good italian restaurant. completely underwhelmed. Not sure why it’s so busy.

Stumbled upon this by accident. Probably the best Italian restaurant on the south shore. Fabulous, friendly knowledgeable staff. Food and service was amazing The atmosphere is gorgeous and a working fireplace tops it off. Will definitely go back!

First time here, very impressed. I came here thinking I would get the linguine Alle Vongole(little neck clams with garlic & oil) but immediately changed my mind when Denise(our server) told us of the lobster, shrimp and artichoke pasta special finished with a spicy marinara sauce. Glad I got it, delicious! Then, wash it down with some Ravenswood Zin, and, I was in heaven. We split some meatballs as an appetizer, and, these were the closest to home made I have ever had; could get stuck on them. Great food, great service, Denise was awesome, and a nice rustic setting, all around a great place.

The acoustics on a Saturday night? Are u kidding me? Terrible, can’t hear across the table. It’s ok if u r up for a loud place. Food was good. Hostess tried to out snob me, by asking me for our reservation! Brought our meal before our apps were cleared from the table, ok, but the reach from the right hand side, if u r going to charge that much for a steak — clear the table, don’t reach over table & also keep the wine flowing … Food was good — service was stinky … Easy fix.

Ordered take out from here. Got the Penne Alla Boscaiola… it was to die for. I was a bit skeptical because it doesn’t have meat in it but it is cooked with small pieces of bacon like carbonara but instead of eggs it has cheese that is cooked and seared with it so it makes this wonderful thick sauce that is heavenly.

They do a great job. Nice spot to get a bite to eat at the bar or for a more formal dinner.

Used to be a regular. Story is the owner went to Italy, quality dropped, he’s back, and it’s good again. So we haven’t been in a while. Dropped in on a Sat at 6. Was at least a 2-hour wait. We’re encouraged to make reservations next time. As a consolation we could eat at the bar, which offers the full menu. There was one seat at the bar and we were just a party of two. Adjacent to the vacant seat say the owner. We discussed leaving in front of him due to the lack of seating and long wait, and he didn’t budge. So disappointed in the place my wedding rehearsal dinner was in. So off to Café Bella in Randolph. Is a drive from Norwell, but was well worth the trip. Sorry Trott, maybe we’ll try you next date night or just start in a place where the owner has class.

From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed and valued as diners. Our waitress, Allison, was superior, treating ourselves and our 3 grandchildren with great respect. Drinks, food, service impeccable! Thanks for a wonderful Easter dinner!

My first time at San Pietro last night. Staff was attentive and friendly. Nice atmosphere with fireplace on. Nice wine. Had the chicken saltinboca which was good. Potatoes that came with it had a refrigerator taste(like something that had absorbed the favors of things around it in the fridge after being there for a couple of days). This was accompanied by approximately 5 string beans. Really? Also had a green salad. My advice would be to skip the salad. It was green, just a plate of lettuce with some dressing. Charging $ 7 for this? I don’t think so.

If I could do zero stars I would. Started out waiting 30 minutes and we had a reservation, the thing that got us is the table we had seen vacant from when we came in was where they seated us. Very cramped restaurant and a little on the loud side. The Calamari was way over cooked and parts of the plastic bag that the frozen calamari must have came in was in the food, 3 plus pieces of plastic. The short rib and veal were over cooked, the veal was actually burnt on the edges. The server should have seen this and never even brought it to the table. The deserts where in the hallway by the bathroom on a cart with nothing covered or refrigerated, they wheeled the deserts from table to table with no covers or refrigeration(unsanitary). Server looked like she had enough of working there.

We came back and had a great meal. I had the short ribs with mushroom risotto which was excellent. My date had veal parm and enjoyed his as well. Our service was also good. I do have to comment on the owner though. We watched him stuff his face, and act extremely disrespectful and rude to the staff. He also wasn’t very friendly with the patrons. It was a real turn-off.

Calamari was uneatable, 2 chews and we were all done as it was very rubbery like. The veal chop was the best I’ve ever had as the veal fell off the bone and others loved their seafood dishes. The service was challenged by our party of 17 and handled it superbly. If it wasn’t for the Calamari it was a perfect evening at Trattoria!

What can I start by saying. here goes. If you have a kitchen which allows folks to view the coming and goings than you better well have chefs who cook and not text and take selfies while taking their sweet time to prepare overcooked food. We ate here on a Sunday night and were disappointed with everything but the service. The apps were fine coming out of the kitchen and then we waited and waited as we watch the«chefs» text away in the kitchen all the while wearing gloves. Our food came out after way too long a wait and all four adults meals were overcooked or burnt. We ordered and 2007 wine but the server brought a 2008. The beer selection is extremely limited and the glassware cheesy. We will not return as there are too many classier restaurants in this price range on the South Shore.

First time here. Sunday afternoon 5:45 we were seated right away. Bread dish was dirty and had to ask for another which they replaced right away. My wife had delmonico steak which was cooked just as ordered and was very flavorful, however, her vegetables were cold. I ordered the swordfish special. It came undercooked(it was pink and cold in the center) and I had to send it back to be cooked further. When it came back the fish was cooked well and had very nice taste but the vegetables had not been kept warm while re cooking the fish so they were cold. I was disappointed with a lack of dessert a menu. The waiter came and recited the options but my son was not at the table so we had to wait for the waiter to come back a second time to explain the 7 or 8 choices. At the same time we asked about a coffee drink option and the waiter said he would check for us, but he did not return with the answer till after we had been served and finished our deserts. The place was not busy when we went and I was disappointed with both the speed of service and the lack of attention to the food from the kitchen

Have gone there often enough– my wife likes it– I never did much. On this occasion we decided to sit at the bar– there were 3 empty seats– one of which had a drink in front of it. When we went to sit down– the bartender told us that those seats were«taken” — they were outside having a smoke. We could not sit down. So we left and won’t be back! Nice job with customer service!
