Whenever I deal with a contractor or service provider who provides excellent and honorable service, I make sure to point it out. B&D installed the central air and heating on a renovation project completed by the previous owner of our home. Since moving in, we’ve encountered a few issues that are typical of a new homeowner’s learning curve. Every time we’ve had a problem, they’ve tried to resolve the problem over the phone rather than impose the cost of a house visit. One of the problems we encountered was due to a faulty control board, which they impressively resolved through the warranty rather than nickle and dime us with service fees. B&D also installed a ductless system in our finished basement. They recommended the perfect system at a reasonable cost for the space, did an amazingly fast installation, and ran the piping and wires in a way reflective of people that take pride in their work. The attention to detail in the systems routed through our attics is equally impressive. They know what they’re doing and it shows. Family run business. Honest. Responsive. Good people. We recommend them to all of our friends and family members, and can’t speak highly enough of their service.

They provided a service call for my furnace. They were very prompt and professional — on time and apparently a clear diagnosis of my faulty part. However the issue was with what happened next. They told me my part was not warrantied and I needed to replace my furnace at a cost of $ 6k. After seeking another opinion found out my part DID have a warranty(lifetime) and it could be repaired for $ 800. If I wanted a new furnace it would have cost me $ 3k. Needless to say I did the repair with the other company. Not only did this company recommend a needless furnace replacement, the recommended one at TWICE the cost. after research it is $ 2k for a furnace and 3 hours to replace, so they were charging e over $ 1k an hour for labor. I would avoid this one… they are the stereotypical service company trying to rip customers off. Although the they did an ok service call, the unethical actions warrant a one star.

These guys were great. Excellent communication and responsiveness. Came on time worked quickly and got things fixed and back running in no time. The charge for the replacement part was competitive to what I found on the internet and their labor charge was reasonable. Highly recommend this company if you need help.

Our furnace got red-tagged by NStar after my previous HVAC co botched the job. I called these guys because a friend told me they were highly rated on Angie’s List. Charlie came right out on a Saturday, understood what was needed and then picked up the new furnace and got the job done by Monday afternoon. And then he took the time to really explain all the capabilities of the new thermostat. Professional, knowledgable and really nice.
