What amazing Baklava! My daughter and I fight each other over the stuff! Friendly staff, and amazing food. I feel like I am transported to Lebanon every time I walk in. They have authentic food and music. I had an aromatic sandwich that a friend purchased for me, and it was so flavorful!

Stopped in here on my way through the area because I’d heard good things about the kibbe and was NOT disappointed! Oh my god, the kibbe eggs are absolutely delicious and taste just like my grandmother’s. One star lost because the lady at the counter was super rude, but definitely not enough of a problem to keep me from going back and buying more! The tabbouleh was also super fresh and tasty.

Tabbouleh, hummus and pita, OH MY. Give me all of this! So good and so fresh. Fridge at my house is always stocked with goodies from here for healthy snacks. Locally owned and operated, supporting local business is key! And the quality of ingredients from here is way better then anything you would buy in the grocery store.

I love this place! The olive oil is exceptional and well priced. The cilantro marinated chicken is great for kebabs and the lamb sausages are killer. I love the rice stuffed zucchini too… Really great place

Some of the guys here are very friendly, but there are several Christian Lebanese working in the store who are pretty racist, and I ended up with a very negative impression. In particular, one woman at the checkout counter who wouldn’t bag my items for no good reason (told me to bag my own!), although she was bagging the other customers. For readers who don’t know, many Lebanese have a mindset like 1890’s Southerners: rather racist.
Also, I know a little Arabic, and those people didn’t suspect I could understand them, and they were talking badly about a Muslim guy who was looking for a place to pray his Friday prayers.
So guys, clean up your act.

stopped by during this long, long heatwave to get a few things so I wouldn’t have to cook and couldn’t be happier. The staff were warm and friendly offering a taste of each of the kinds of feta so I could pick the one that tastes best to me. AND wonderful product, meat and spinach pies, hummus, sooo good.

I love this place. I drive all the way from Watertown for their shawarma. It’s so good. Others may be close, but this place is the best unless you go to Lebannon. A+, keep it up! Great work!

I love stumbling upon grocery stores like Cedar’s Market (and I was literally stumbling because the laces on my new shoes broke as I was walking down the hill toward the store!). Huge assortment of Middle Eastern goodies. I was very tempted by several items but had to be realistic and determine if I’d actually use it in the near future. Be sure to check the sell by dates as we were about to purchase a bag of red dates til my friend shook it and you could see they were moldy. Aisles are somewhat cramped so browsing is somewhat difficult. They’ve got a huge selection of bakery goodies. We tried two that were absolutely delicious. You can purchase semi warm meals and previously cooked meals but we decided to do that another time. Interesting place that I’ll definitely return to.

I love this place! I live one town over and I wanted to find some ethnic restaurants. After doing some research on the web, I went to check it out. How amazing to have found it in Norwood! The food is wonderful! BEST Falafel ever: it is crispy and so tasty! Love the beef shawarma too! The sweets are fresh and delicious. The best baklava I have ever had! They are fresh and not too sweet. The meat market has fresh meat as well. I bought the lamb and beef sausages which are super tasty! The staff is very friendly as well. Love it!

They sell alot of Greek items which I love. Olives, feta, pita bread. They also have alot of other items but I’ve only been there once so haven’t tried many of their items. If I’m in the area I would stop by and pick up some new items to try. My better half loves the Chicken Swarmie (sp?) sandwiches they make at lunch.

The lamb is not not as flavorful as I’d like it to be plus it was cooked well done, I prefer it medium rare. The side rice and yogurt sauce is very fresh and delicious.

Ok, def new favorite sandwich place. I had the chicken shawarma and bought a side of grape leaves (they were $ 8 per lb. but there’s at least 20 in the small package). The schwarma tasted fresh and was really tasty and the best part cheap! I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu later!

Got the chicken schwarma ($ 3.99) over the weekend and it was so delicious. Get a ton of garlic spread on it– it’s amazing!
I also tried their spinach and feta pockets ($ 1) which were soft and tasty but too bready for me.
We also got amazingly fresh and hot zaatar for under $ 4 that was made in house. What a local gem!

* Great Food *
This place was introduced to me by a Lebanese coworker. I was instantly hooked after eating their Chicken Shawarma dish. A bunch of coworkers and I travel from Stoughton once in a while to get take-​out from here. This has become a favorite take-​out spot for us.
They serve great, authentic Shawarma dishes, lamb kabobs, falafels, and other Middle Eastern dishes at reasonable prices. Sometimes we order and eat our take-​out food in the park across the street.
* Different Parts of the Market *
Part of the market is a small restaurant that sells Middle Eastern take-​out food. Although, they have a small section where you can sit and eat by the window.
Another part of this market is a grocery store with a small selection of produce and large selection of Middle Eastern products. It reminds me of the bodegas back in NYC, but cleaner and less cluttered. Check out the display of Hookahs against the wall. I never asked, but I’m pretty sure they’re for sale. (Hey, smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.)
Other parts of this market include a bakery with a large selection of desserts, and a small butcher shop.
* Bottom Line *
If you’re near the area, then stop by for some authentic Middle Eastern food or products.

I eat here at least once a week. In fact I pick up takeout for half of the company I work for while I am there. It’s family run, and the folks there really care about consistent food quality and keeping the customer happy. Along with the food there is friendly cheerful Aziz behind the counter who is always good for conversation while he is preparing your food.
Don’t miss this place! It’s right across the street from the park with the gazebo in Norwood center.
You may see me there as I’m heading over there for a lamb kebab plate in about 5 minutes

There is almost nothing here that you would find in a normal supermarket, and that’s OK by Me ! It is exactly what makes it a very good ethnic market (Lebanese /​Middle Eastern /​Mediterranean).
Things I love about this market:
Cheap Chicken and Beef Sharwarma sandwiches, the best in the area. Perfect for lunch.
The best rice and lentils I have had, with caramelized onions on top. Makes a great meal with tabouleh and kafta.
Reasonably priced Olive Bar.
Fresh ground beef, lamb, homemade sausages, and marinated meats.
Interesting Mediterranean cheeses (kept in liquid similar to fresh mozzarella).
One of the best things is that it’s authentic; it feels foreign when you enter the doors. The market is run by a nice Lebanese family who is always there working, willing to explain things, and treat regulars as friends.

We purchased some food here for a take-​out dinner. Because we do not know much about Middle-​Eastern cuisine, we had plenty of questions, and the employes at this family-​run market were patient and took the time to answer our questions in a friendly manner. Most importantly, all of the food that we ordered was DELICIOUS. We plan to return to Cedar’s Market many more times!

This is a great little neighborhood market-​awesome olives, pastries, fresh meats, vegetables, spices and other stuff. This place should be on your radar if you live or work in the area.
I like that the people here can tell you about the foods, preparation, origins, etc.

I give this place 3 stars just for the food.
For those who like or want to try lebanese food, they have different kinds of sandwiches, small plates and appetizers. The shawarma is REAL shawarma and not what they sell at Moody’s wannabe falafel. What I really liked was their Sujouk which is spicy lamb (or was it beef? one of those) sausage and they grill it and you add your own ingredients. I put this garlic paste looking sauce, pickled radish, a mixture of onions and parsley with salt, pepper and light spices, pickles. They have meat pies and spinach pies, very tasty.
They also have a big selection of arab/​lebanese pastries and desserts. Try the baklava, hareesa, qatayef (if they have it) and the getto (sp?) that’s just cake but for some reason they call it that, i think its french.
