I really wanted to like this place. Pot stickers were DISGUSTING. Dough was tooo thick and chewy. Filling was under cooked with weird flavor. Ginger beef came as ginger chicken and not much ginger flavor. Best part of order was white rice.

Worst food I have ever had, hands down. I’m so sad to say because it used to be our favorite. Never again! Zero stars I only typed 1 star because I was forced to.

I must admit this came as a pleasent surprise. If you blink while driving down route 1 you will miss this restaurant. Hot and sour soup was excellent, Sichuan spicey chicken was fresh and the pork fried rice was great! The woman who seated us was very pleasant and service was fast. I plan on coming here again.

Watered down, no flavor. We really wanted this place to be good because it’s so close, but it’s just not. We ordered crab Rangoon, egg rolls, general tso and sesame chicken. Also had to order rice separately from main entrees. WAY over priced for the tasteless food. Entrees are supposed to be sticky and full of flavor. They were watery and bland. Couldn’t even tell the difference between the two and one is supposed to be «spicy.» The Rangoon center was okay, but the shell they used was inadequate. Also, they don’t give you the normal red sweet sauce that would usually come with it. Even the rice was gross… How do you Mess up rice? The egg roll was probably the best part. Bummer.

Great family run place. Strong Mai tai’s, tasty appetizers and large portions for the main course. The place was very crowded with a lot of takeout for New Years Eve but the service was still very quick. The spicy calamari and the chicken teriyaki were our favorites.

Food is good but going downhill. Been here many times but tonight we found a piece of plastic in one of our dishes and all we got was oh sorry. Kids came by and told us mom said sorry. Got a whole $ 3.91 off our bill. We are done with this place.

Rice is always made fresh and tastes great. Chicken wings and spare ribs always taste like they’ve been sitting around for days. Overall food is okay

We read several good reviews and decided to order. Most of the food had very little flavor. We had sesame crispy chicken, general tsaos chicken, and crab rangoon. The crab rangoon was very bland. The chicken was dry and tough. I would not recommend this place.

Ordered from here because it is the nearest chinese food place by my work. It was very delicious. i have tried the edamame — very good! broccoli and chicken and also beef — both delicious. rice and egg roll was good as well. I havent tasted anything bad here. The pricing is a little high but you do get a lot of food with it. my coworker didn’t enjoy the rice because she said it was too fried but eh it was fine with me. My other coworker ordered something and said it was too fried as well. So maybe some things could be considered too fried? The crab rangoons are amazing though! I’ll be going back to this place until they close!

I’ve been going here since long before Ping and company changed things up — for the better in my opinion. Food was good when I was young but it’s better now, and no other local Mai Thai can hold Ping’s Mai Thai’s jockstrap. She and the staff make it right; Orzeac, fresh OJ n Lime, enough rum to make you feel the goodness. I don’t order take out til I get to the restaurant just so I can have a Mai Thai before the food is up. Go. Enjoy. And forget all the haters; if you don’t like something just tell them and they’ll make it right.

Best Mai Tai going! Ping has done wonders with the place since she took it over. Lettuce wraps are good too, with tender chicken and crispy noodles. Not sure what the sauce is but it mighty tasty.

I added a star because it seemed I had to in order to review. We just had dinner there and we can all agree that it was among the worse Chinese food we have ever had. The sesame chicken dish was definitely the worse we’ve had. All breaded fried flat pieces of chicken which barely had any chicken. All rubbery chicken. Sauce was like they just poured sweet and sour sauce with sesame seeds on it. Very tasteless, flavorless and not even well marinated. On top of it, we were still charged for it even after speaking to the manager about our dissatisfaction. Not worth the money and the added calories. Thumbs down. For excellent Chinese food, try Cherry Blossom in Ashland, MA

We got take out here based on the recommendations of a few other Unilocalers. We just moved to the Norwood area and were trying to find the best chinese food in town. Our order was done and ready to be picked up promptly with no wait. Their food is mediocre. Kind of bland and flavorless. There are more vegetables in their chicken and vegetables than chicken. The Pad Thai had no flavor despite it looking wonderful. We were not impressed at all and chances are we won’t go back but, it was a nice place and their take out pick up timing is quick.

We were hungry and tired, and relatively still new to the area, so we decided to give this place a shot based on previous Unilocalers’ opinions. So glad we did! It’s basic Chinese food, and as far as I could tell, tasty, not overly greasy and apparently no MSG, judging from the pleasant full-but-not-sick sensations afterwards. Delivery was speedy(20 – 25 min) and very courteous. Prices are very fair. All in all, we’ll be calling them again soon! Too bad the online system didn’t let us order spareribs with the dinner combo, but it wasn’t so traumatic to have to place a phone call to order the food ;)

Reopened as the New Golden Abacus This place has the best chinese food in the whole area. New owners take great pride in giving you the freshest, great tasting food at a very reasonable(cheap) price! All of the soups are excellent, the fried rice has plenty of meat in it. The way I judge the quality of chinese food is the chicken chow mein. This place uses all white meat chicken and plenty of it, crisp vegetables and a light sauce. The dinner specials will load you up for about $ 10. including soup, app, main course and rice. Tip: for an app choice, go with the boneless ribs, you wind up getting almost an entire order of ribs as an appetizer. Try it, you’ll like it!

First of all any review of this place over a year old is by now inaccurate. This place gets five stars on their alone, their attention to customers is amazing. The food, like the staff was amazing. The dishes were fresh and delicious, definitely worth the price. Pricing is moderate. The restaurant itself is cozy, at the time of my visit there were a few families dining in. There was also a steady stream of take-out orders flying out the door. If your in the area this place is a solid option. If you are dining in don’t expect a fancy place. Its a mom and pop restaurant run by the family that owns it. It was lovely to see the young children get involve and bring over the fortune cookies at the end of the meal. The one thing I would ask to improve about this place is, help the ambiance and play some soft music in the background.

I Came here lastnight at a whim because my wife needed some good hot soup. Got the Veggie Chicken soup — good sized portion on the large for a little more than 5 bucks. I went with the singapore rice noodles and I wasnt aware that it came with curry. Not a big fan of the curry, but I gobbled them. The curry for me just took away from the dish as that’s all I could taste — but that’s that dish. It was dead as a door nail in there on a tuesday early evening and the sweet people in there seemed desperate for business — but extremely friendly — and I appreciated that. I would stop in again for more takeout. For now I will throw 3 stars their way for good soup portion and their friendliness of service.

This place is horrid. Horrible horrible horrible Chinese food. Everything is greasy and overcooked. I usually try a Chinese place by ordering the easy to make fried items and this place failed miserably. It seems to me, for a Chinese place that doesn’t even deliver, they ought to be exceptional. I would buy ramen from the grocery store and get more satisfaction from that than would I ever eat here again.
