I love Siam Lotus! The chomburi wings are to die for, I’m picky with wings because I like them super crispy and these were so perfect. My boyfriend said next time we should just get 4 orders of them and nothing else! I also always get the pad Thai and it’s always perfect, can always count on this place for pure satisfaction :)

I used to order and dine in at this place very often. What I’ve noticed over time is that the food is generally good, except for the Siam roll. The menu says there is chicken, but as I bit into it there was no chicken. I tried to explain this to the waitress and didn’t get much help, more of a defensive attitude. Generally, I’ve noticed that while the food is decent, he service is very poor. I asked for a pair of chop sticks(fairly standard and should have been there in the first place), and the waiter had an attitude. I would recommend getting take out, but don’t expect good service if you dine in.

I like to eat here during break. Parking is very plentiful and so is seating. You will be greeted by 1 – 2 very polite ladies who are always very kind and professional. Some of the dishes I get there are pad see ew and phad Thai. Very delicious. In reality, everything that I have tried there has been very satisfactory. If you live in the area, check it out !

My husband and I wanted to try this Thai place since we both like Thai foods and had been to Thailand for real authentic Thai foods. We believe this restaurant tries to cater to the American palate. The pad Thai was bland even though the noodle was nicely thin and it came with generous amount of ground peanuts. It lacked the expected sour flavor of tamarind. The larb kai salad was slightly disappointing. It lacked the spicy kick and was a bit drenched. I ordered house duck. It costed $ 20 but duck meat was too little. The only thing we liked was the spring rolls which are hot, crispy and filling was delicious. The restaurant had a high ceiling, and was finely decorated but the staff were not energetic and chatty. However, this is a suburban Thai restaurant, it’s hard to expect city like quality.

This is one of the few Thai restaurants that let you assemble the Thai ice tea yourself — so that was a plus . On the other hand, I went there for lunch on a weekday(no lunch menu) and I ordered the shrimp pad Thai. While the presentation was good, the taste was just so so — and there were only 3 little shrimps($ 9.95). Not sure if I want to come back… there are better options around.

After seeing the very high rating for Siam Lotus here on Unilocal(4 stars based on 103 reviews), I decided to give it a try for lunch today. I called in a takeout order for Pad Thai with shrimp, and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I showed up 8 minutes after ordering, and the meal was already ready, so I paid and took it back to my nearby hotel to consume. Sadly, other than the quick preparation time, I was not impressed by my meal. The dish was extremely bland, and it came with only four(4) very average-size shrimp on it. For $ 10, I sure expect more than 4 shrimp and some bland noodles. Furthermore, the noodles were all stuck together, which didn’t make eating them very easy(some sauce on the dish would’ve helped with the stickiness problem, methinks).

This is my favorite Thai restaurant. I’ve been going there and ordering their take out since they opened, down the street at their original location, over 20 years ago. Great food, good portions, and friendly service

This is definitely overpriced(charging Boston’s fancy Thai restaurant price in Norwood) not so good Thai food. Please go take a cooking lesson from Nud Pob on Commonwealth Ave in Boston. We just moved to Norwood from Boston, where we have eaten at numerous Thai restaurants. This is by far the worst Thai food – pad Thai as dry as the desert, bland chicken in a fresh roll(that’s the first time I’ve seen chicken in a fresh roll), and the Tom yum soup is room temp instead of hot. I should have gone to the Golden Abacus for Chinese food. You live and you learn. You eat and you know.

I love their savory noodles. I never had issues with their food. The service is bad. So that is why 3 stars.

I come here often for lunch since it’s close to my work. Nice portions and reasonable prices. I love the grilled chicken curry. The rolls combo and chicken wings are great apps.

Get lunch here at least once a week for years now. Spicy chicken fried rice, savory noodles, and pad Thai are all phenomenal. If you get the pad Thai, ask them to kick it up to «2 peppers». Adds the perfect amount of heat! Highly recommend

I am not sure why this place gets rave reviews. I have tried other Thai places and this is the worst. Their menu is comparatively short, the food is very bland, no matter how spicy you ask them to make, and the service is the worst. Not even a simple smile as they seat you down or serve you. I thought I needed to give them a fair chance and have been at the place atleast 3 times before I review.

I dropped in for lunch and ordered the Pad Thai, which I never do at a Thai restaurant, because of all the positive reviews of it. It certainly measured up to the reviews — it was one the better Pad Thai dishes I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve had a lot. The restaurant uses a white /clear noodle, serves it in heaping portions, and tops it with a generous amount of crushed peanuts. I was able to take some home for another meal. The restaurant is a beautiful space, and the servers were efficient and friendly. While the restaurant does not provide a luncheon menu that is typical of Thai restaurants, the prices were reasonable, and the portions generous.

I ordered from this place twice now. The first time was a year ago we ordered pad see eww, pad Thai and fried rice. We thought they used fresh ingredients but the food was just not tasty, seemed pretty bland and was expensive. Since it’s close to where I live and I was hungry and passing by it, now a year later I figure I would give it another try. We were again extremely disappointed. I ordered pad Thai was very bland, no flavor at all, it looked good but tasted very bland. I asked for extra spicy it was spicy, I think the peppers made it look good see the picture. Pad Thai has this sweet salty and umami taste it lacked all this. The chicken looked boiled and dump in there. I also ordered chicken satay, again it was not very tasty, very thin pieces of chicken. The peanut sauce that came with it was sweet and watered down. The cucumber sauce was not bad. I thought for the amount and quality of food it was expensive. I very much enjoy a good Thai food and have eaten good and been eating good Thai food for years now. Our area does not have much option unless you venture in Boston or nearby town but I was surprised with the review this place has, might be because it looks nice inside. Sorry the food is just not good and not worth going there again. I will not be going there again. I can’t recommend it to anyone but please do try it of you think I might be wrong.

I go here at least once a week, for the past 8 years. There is no better thai food. I have tried and tried to find one closer to my house that compares but nothing can touch it. Their pad thai is the best ever!!!

Elegant décor, gracious service, and good food. The savory noodles live up to their name, and are delicious.

Just had a delicious lunch. The spicy chicken fried rice has the perfect amount of heat; not so much that it hurts but enough that you’re glad there is a glass of ice water on the table. The décor is nice and the servers are attentive. The food was brought out quickly and I had no problem getting there, eating and back to work within 45 minutes.

This used to be a huge favorite of ours but something has changed. The fresh garden rolls used to be stuffed with thick slices of BBQ chicken and basil leaves and now it is mostly shredded lettuce. We aren’t sure if its a money saving change or the chef has changed. The tiger’s tear salad used to taste amazing and the seasoning is still good but the salad greens were wilted and no effort made to pull out the brown ones. The chicken satay was even underwhelming, thin pieces of chicken. What is happening Siam Lotus???

By far the worst restaurant I ever visited. Worst management is the highlight. They close at 9:30 and were a group of 2 ppl entering for dinner at 9 and the host says with a frowny sad disgusting face ‘we close by 9:30 please hurry’ What is wrong with you guys ! We are not even seated yet and you say hurry up !?? We left right away. Very inviting Siam lotus ! Never coming back again

Take out: We ordered and they quoted us 20 minutes, came 30 minutes and had to wait another 15 minutes. Total time for takeout: 45 minutes. Really? We might as well eat there! What’s the point of take out if it takes that long. I guess they were still cooking something we ordered. We ordered: Pad Thai with chicken, pad see eew with chicken, satay chicken, and tom yum soup with shrimp. The food was«meh». The Tom Yum soup doesn’t taste like a normal Tom Yum soup, this one tasted weird, like it didn’t have that lemongrass or lime taste, it wasn’t sour. I can’t pin the taste down, but it’s not a typical tom yum soup. I did not like it. The pad thai noodles was very bland and«eggy». Usually pad thai has this orange color to it, this one was more of white-ish and egg tasting. It wasn’t too bad, but not your normal Thai pad thai. Needs more flavoring. The pad see eew on the other hand was better than the other 2 dishes, but a little soy saucey… And the noodles were all stuck together and a bit mushy. It’s like they can’t get it right… And the Satay chicken was the only good thing. It was a big chunk of meat and the peanut sauce was delicious! Overall, if you are expecting authentic Thai food, this place doesn’t do Thai justice. I’ve eaten at many many many Thai places and my good friend is Thai and her mom’s cooking is very authentic, and this one was more on the bland side and tasted nothing like Thai food! Can’t pin it down exactly… like in between Chinese imitating Thai. The only good thing was the satay chicken.
