I agree, best Chinese food in the White Marsh/East Baltimore area.

My wife and I have been to this restaurant a couple of times and I honestly feel it’s got the best Chinese food in the greater Baltimore area. We have not tried the sushi, but everything else we’ve had has been very good. We’ve had both the won ton and hot and sour soup. Both are excellent and flavorful. The entrees we’ve ordered included the General Tso’s Chicken, the seafood combination, kung pao chicken, and a few others. All the ingredients taste fresh(especially the vegetables, which remain crunchy and not overcooked). I also noticed that none of the dishes we’ve ordered so far taste over-cooked, over-seasoned, or over-breaded. Some restaurants in this area seem to cook their chicken until it’s rubbery, then over-coat it with sauce. This place doesn’t. Everything we’ve had has tasted light and flavorful, but not overdone. Finally, the people working there(I’m pretty sure it’s family-owned and run) are very friendly. As I’ve said, we’ve only been there a few times, but the owner and host greeted us warmly and were just plain nice.

This is some of the best Asian style food I have ever had. The egg rolls are not greasy, neither is the fried rice or lo mein. The dinner combos are a generous amount of food, I almost always have enough food left for lunch the next day. The staff is always friendly and I have never had a bad meal from here!

Let me start by saying this review isn’t solely food based, that being said the food is mediocre at best. I ordered online, because I prefer not to call into to restaurants of this nature. First my entire order was wrong, secondly neither lunch special came with soup nor soda as promised. When I called in to reconfirm my order, I was greeted with a screaming voice telling me to hold on. I held for quite some time, then spoke with someone who repeatedly told I was wrong, then once they found my order they said«Well want do you want.» I understand a business being busy, people being frustrated, and orders overwhelming the cooks but this was a mistake that I won’t be making again.

Mediocre sushi but good in a pinch if you want delivery and given limited food options in the county.

«PLEASEBESURETOREADTHISWHOLEREVIEW!» Ok, this place has great food, the«Hula Roll» and«Gen. Tso chicken» are awesome! We just moved to this area and had to stop ordering from our other Chinese restaurant«Han’s Dynasty» it’s on Joppa Road in Perry Hall, and this place is off the hook! They have great food and sushi, and the owners are totally awesome! Now, for the bad review for Peking House, and I hate to do this, but I feel I have to! After about a month of ordering food fair for dinner, I thought I would go there for lunch, being that I am a quadriplegic in a Electric wheelchair I don’t like to venture out too much in the winter time because I freeze really easy. When I went there for lunch two weeks ago I would not get through the double doors because one of their doors was broken and not working, I looked at it and it is such a minor fix. I asked to speak to the owner, and he came out and told me he was sorry that I cannot come in and they were going to get the door fix asap! Okay, it’s going on 2 ½ weeks, and the door is still not fixed! If the food wasn’t so good, I would not be complaining, but it is and it’s very upsetting to me. Not to mention, I believe it’s a fire hazard too, and discriminating against people in wheelchairs! It sucks to have to say that, because I do not like to use the wheelchair card B. S… I even offered to buy small little part for the door to make it open so my wheelchair can fit through or God for bid there’s a fire and everybody in the restaurant needs to get out of the building fast, it’s like $ 9.20 at Home Depot, and the owner said, no thank you I don’t need your help! obviously he does, it’s going on three weeks, and the door still is not fixed! «PLEASEASKTHEMIFTHEYFIXEDTHEIRDOORYETFORWHEELCHAIRS!» What does everybody else think?

My favorite Chinese food place in the area! Its delicious! The prices are reasonable, and I love their dinner combos. YUM! Awesome décor inside the restaurant too, with friendly staff who are great at bringing refills in a timely fashion.

The food is really good. The only issue I have with this place is that the drivers park then call me to tell me they’re here. This is beyond lazy and unprofessional– you’re ALREADY here, get off your butt and knock on my door. This is a terrible trend and, with me, it impacts what I tip. Please stop your drivers from this ignorant habit.

I had a taste for sushi and came across this chinese place through an app called«Grub Hub.» I had ordered the Salmon roll, a Tuna roll, and Wonton Soup. the Salmon roll was really good, I devoured that thing. The Wonton Soup was also very good. On the other hand, the Tuna Roll, I wasn’t really feeling it. It had a weird after taste that I just couldn’t get past. However, I ate the whole role because I paid for it and didnt want to waste my money, but I am not a fan of it and will not be ordering it again. Sorry. The second time I ordered, I ordered with a group of friends and we all got meals. Everyone seem to really like their meal(including myself), we had: Orange chicken, General Tso chicken, Beef Lo Mein, fried rice, White Rice, a Salmon Roll, Wonton Soup, Egg Rolls, and Crab Ragoons. All of our meals came with the Main dish, rice, an appetizer, and a can soda all for $ 10-$ 12, you. The chicken was plentiful, the fried rice was flavorful, and you got big portions. The only thing I would fix is the Crab Ragoon. My Crab Ragoon had no crab meat or crab flavor in it, it was just cream Cheese. Other than that, everything was delicious.

I’m not sure if this place is the reason why I got the stomach virus but I’m going to just review this place by the food. I got delivery and ordered mango chicken and spare ribs. They never asked me what size spare ribs and assumed I said large. That’s fine though. I got the food and the mango was sour and had a bitter aftertaste. I ordered from this place around a month ago so maybe the mango wasn’t ripe or it didn’t come to fruition because of the seasonal change? But I only had a couple pieces before ignoring them altogether. The chicken wasn’t good either because the mango’s sourness rubbed off on it so they both were sour. However their wings were pretty good. Sweet, salty, and some parts were very tender and meaty. Soon after I had this food, my chest and stomach started feeling uncomfortable, then the next day, it got worse. It took me 3 weeks to fully recover from this ordeal. Like I said, I don’t know if this is place was the reason I got sick. It could have been other factors that lead to my ordeal. But the food here wasn’t that great. Their menu is extensive and they have a lot of smoothies on deck which looks tempting to get. They also have mango sticky rice! I’ve only ordered from this place once so I might do an update later… If I decide to come back…

My wife and I have been back now several times and always order carry-out(as we have a baby at home). The food continues to be delicious. The«country taste» menu is nice and authentic, and reminds me of eating at my parents’ house. We love the rice with steak & tomato sauce, red-stewed beef, and the stir-fried green beans. We are gradually making our way through the menu to find our favorites. The EAT24 thing on Unilocal has made it very convenient for me to order on my way home from work, so that it’s ready for pick-up when I arrive. Great job, Peking House!

Was traveling in Baltimore, found Peking House on Unilocal.I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. It’s definitely comparable to the Cantonese run restaurants in NYC. We ordered the sesame chicken, yong chow fried rice, and pad thai. All three dishes were excellent. I’ve had sesame chicken/general tao’s chicken from other places where it’s mostly batter and very little chicken.

I’ve been coming here for years. The food is always high quality and the people that work there are really friendly. Their Sesame Chicken is the best I’ve ever tasted.

The food is tasty, but the portions don’t match the price. Order a meat dish and it’ll be mostly the veggies. Service is quick and friendly.

Got their take-out beef chow fun. Not too bad. The noodles were were chewy and squishy just the way I like it. Service was fast! From phone call to pick-up availability was 15 min. Not too shabby. Portions were very large so you will get a hefty portion. My biggest issue with this place is that almost everything was swimming in grease. If you are craving take out, this is not a bad choice.
