Oriented toward family practice, both Dr. Suzanne Huang and Dr. Marissa Huang are board certified to diagnose and treat diseases of the eye. In addition, we prescribe eye glasses, including computer vision testing, and offer all types of contact lenses, including astigmatism corrections, multi-​focal contacts, and other hard to fit custom contact lenses.

Our doctors provide laser vision (LASIK) surgery consultation. With state-​of-​the-​art technology, experienced and professional eye examinations, we provide the highest quality eye care for you.

Our optical offers thousands of designer eyeglasses and the highest quality lenses with knowledgeable & personalized care from our certified optician.

History

Established in 1987.

Dr. Huang opened her practice on Grant Avenue in downtown Novato in order to provide comprehensive eyecare, eyeglasses, contact lenses, and to treat eye disease.

A graduate of the UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 1985, Dr. Huang spent the first 2 years of practice working in an eye surgery hospital & clinic, as well as in a contact lens specialty practice. In order to give her patients the most personalized, quality oriented care, she then established her own private professional practice in Novato.

Working with Dr. Huang since 2000, Board Certified Optician Veronica Klein has been helping patients select the highest quality & fashion in eyewear, as well as advising the best lens types for their needs.

Office Manager Joy Mentch is the friendly face in the front office since 2007.

Most recently, our new partner is Dr. Marissa Huang OD who has joined the family practice with her mother Dr. Suzanne Huang OD.

Dr Huang has lived in Novato, CA since receiving her doctorate degree at the University of CA, Berkeley in 1985. Dr. Huang lives with her husband, Samuel Huang DDS, and has two daughters who were born & raised in Novato. Her older daughter Marissa has recently joined her practice as her partner.

With strong roots in Marin County, she and her family all have made community service a large commitment in their lives. Dr Huang provides eye examinations at no cost for students referred by the Novato Unified School District, and volunteers with Lions International.

Dr Huang is an active member of the California and American Optometric Societies, the Redwood Empire Optometric Society, and is a member of the American Optometric Society Contact Lens Section.

In her free time, Dr Huang enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and working in her garden.
