This used to be my go to nail place, that was until tonight. I usually go with gel but this time I wanted just regular polish because I had planned to come back closer to St. Patrick’s day and get something a bit festive. But when it came time to pay she told me $ 20. That seemed a bit high for a simple manicure with regular polish and no design so asked if she was sure. That’s when they told me it was $ 10 for the mani and $ 10 to take off the old chipped polish that I came in with. I’ve never been to a place that charges an extra fee to remove your old polish when you are getting a new manicure. I could see an extra couple dollars, but $ 10, I’m sorry but with all the other nail salons in the area, they lost my business.

My favorite salon in Nutley, and I know there are quite a few of them. I’ve always been pleased with their attentiveness to manicures and pedicures, and the staff is always friendly on top of that.
If you go on Monday-Thursday, you’ll get a better deal in terms of price.

I just got an Rx for antibiotics from my doctor today because I was developing an infection on my big toe (toe is swollen, sore and pink) from the pedicure that I received two days ago. When I called to tell them, they insisted that I come in to show them my toe and my Rx in order to get my money back. Which they did give back in cash with profuse apologies. Never. Going. Back.
