History

Established in 1997.

In 1997, Andrew Garruto left an active litigation firm to start his own practice in his hometown of Nutley, New Jersey. In 2007 the office building was remodeled to provide a more professional, practical and efficient office space. Our office now includes a mock courtroom, and although completely unnecessary for our civil practice.

In 2011, Joseph Calabria joined the firm and we are now Garruto & Calabria, Attorneys at Law. Joe and Andy are both Certified Civil Trial Attorneys, and have been named as Super Lawyers by New Jersey Monthly Magazine, year after year.

Joe Calabria’s involvement in the law extends beyond the courtroom. He presently serves as a court appointed arbitrator for personal injury and contract cases. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, as well as the Bergen and Hudson County Bar Associations. Joe is a former federal court arbitrator and adjunct professor at Montclair State University and Berkeley College.
