We specialize in Skateboards, Streetwear and Sneakers. We have a dedicated room that stocks over 200 types of sneakers. Our deck wall has over 250 decks and we always have a full cabinet of wheels, bearing and trucks. You will not find a local skateshop that has more product

History

Established in 2010.

We started out in 2010 as a small local shop in a 700sq ft location in Nutley, since then we have grown to a 1500sq ft store in Nutley and added 2 more locations in Ridgewood and Bergenfield.

I’m new to skateboarding, and as someone who is new to the sport, «old» (for skateboarding!), and female, I was a little nervous about going to a skate shop. Were they going to mock me? Ignore me? Would they assume I was buying stuff for my boyfriend or son?
My fears were totally unfounded. The salesman was extremely friendly, helpful, non-​judgmental, and took the time to help me pick out the best skateboard for my needs. He didn’t seem interested in upselling, and asked what I was looking to spend, and pointed me towards boards in my range that suited my needs. The store itself is clean and non cluttered, and they seem to have a large selection of boards, parts, shoes, and clothing. It was a really great shopping experience. Also, I’m really pleased with the board I got and I’ve been having a lot of fun skating! Would definitely go back to Underground in the future.
