Specialties
As the sole owner and employee of A Dash of Color, my goal is to create customized solutions that make a positive difference in your daily life. Whether that involves innovative storage solutions, altering lighting or maximizing your space, I can help you achieve the vision you have for your home, office or any other space that you want to refresh or recreate.
I’m happy to collaborate with you on everything from finding and selecting paint colors, to modifying various rooms to suit your changing needs for years to come. Whatever your style, color preference, or organizational need… I will provide personalized options for you.
Aside from painting and design, I’m available to install ceiling fans, hang curtains, or give a facelift to grandma’s coffee table too — anything you need done around the house, give me a call. No project is too big or too small.
History
Established in 2007.
A Dash of Color was born shortly after I moved to New York from Florida, when my friends quickly learned how handy I was around their homes and apartments. After painting, building custom furniture, and designing and constructing closets and storage for several friends — they began referring me to their friends and family for various projects — and before I knew it, A Dash of Color was a full-fledged, full-service home repair and improvement business.
Meet the Business Owner
Chad S.
Business Owner
I owe my skills and inspiration to my Dad, who was the top reupholsterer in the area where I was raised in Florida. In addition to working side-by-side with him on projects, and taking on some of my own, after school I earned a certification in design and worked in various forms of construction, from demolition to detail work.
My mind is built for order, organization and cleanliness, just ask anyone who knows me, about my closet with shirts that are spaced 2 finger lengths apart; or my former messy roommate who came home to a completely reorganized garage; or my in-laws who had their guest room painted, and their carpet and 80s wallpaper removed while they were away for a long weekend. I just can’t help myself, it’s in my blood.
