Super cool small hidden bar in nyack. I was at the street fair and all the bar in immediate proximity of the fair were packed and had waits. So I walked a little farther and stumbled upon this gem. They don’t have a kitchen but they have an extensive selection of craft beers most of which are local, plus some other craft staples. Don’t be fooled walking by all the sign says is «The Local» and has a picture of a giraffe. Stop in for a beer and a board game.

Looked like a cool place to grab a beer until I realized the bartender was too young to be reading ids. She requested my id and stared and tapped on it for 5 mins. I have an nj id, but apparently it was fake and she couldn’t serve my friend and I.
Just a thought, on the first busy spring day, you should probably have an experienced bartender. Some people come from out of town to enjoy Nyack, and this was a bad first impression. L
Anyway, I’d suggest o’malley’s, which is a short walk away. The bartender was personable, friendly and makes kick ass drinks.

Went for the first time Thursday night. It was gorgeous out. We spent the entire time outside on the patio. It was sooooo nice. I met the owner who is super nice. Good people, made some new friends. Can’t wait until they add food!
I will be back for sure! So glad friends recommended!

Went here for the first time last weekend, was pleasantly surprised with what they had done with the space. It’s utilized in a great way, and the outdoor seating is a big plus! The mood and vibe seemed fun, young crowd.

Travis really created an awesome atom sphere and completely renovated the place. As a fellow beer lover he’s very well versed in craft beers and always switches it up. It’s a small, intimate atmosphere and isn’t too loud. Very chill bar and unique asset to Nyack as a whole with all the different types of bars it has.
