Description

Specialties

Absolute Flow is a boutique Pilates studio. It’s tucked away in the Eagle center away from street viewing. With small classes, (max 4 a class) on reformers, each individual is able to receive attention and to better their form within their first few sessions. The focus is to help each individual reach their goals. We help attain these goals by specific workouts that strengthen the body, and work towards an overall mind and body connection. One will see that everyone that works at Absoulte Flow is dedicated to helping individuals make healthy life choices.

History

Established in 2014.

Lisa had studio in Hollywood, California with a good friend and business partner, but operated under a different studio name. They shared the same belief that a small boutique studio that catered to those who wanted private lessons or a duet style work out was the way to get them started. After much success, in the summer of 2013 Lisa and her husband made a difficult decision, which was to give up her half of the business to move back to where she grew up, close to family since she now had a family of her own. Raising her daughter in the mid west was important to her husband and her. She put 3 Pilates reformers, in a wellness center in Fairview heights. Patients were happy to be introduced to a low impact work out that could also help rehabilitate them. She soon outgrew the small space and searched for one of her own where she could teach small classes with the same boutique style feel that she loved in Los Angeles. Lisa opened Absolute Flow Pilates in O’fallon Il.

Meet the Business Owner

Lisa U.

Business Owner

When introduced to Pilates as a dance major at Columbia College, Chicago, Lisa knew this was a discipline that would always be in her life. After graduation she ventured to Los Angeles where a few friends had already migrated to. She hoped to discover where her ambitions for performance would take her. She realized that dance was more of a love than a career choice. She became involved in many different facets of the fitness industry while spending a lot of time auditioning theatrically. She found a passion for teaching when joining the Los Angeles Repratory Theater. They taught drama to high school magnet schools in LA. After getting married and having a baby girl, she craved something that could keep her teaching but more physically active. She then decided to get certified in Pilates. She studied in Beverly Hills under Maria Leone, and received her certification through The Physical Mind Institute.
