Has a good bean burger, and there is a good selection of sides. Broccoli was very good. Maggie H. the waitress was just ok. Brought us dirty water for tea, a half-filled cup, brought the buns ¾ of the way through the meal, and just seemed hurried and not extra polite or attentive. Probably will try again because of them having a burger for vegans. Price was high, $ 19 for two burgers.

Overall, we enjoyed a wonderful meal to celebrate a family birthday. Our waiter, Aaron, was quite personable and attentive, he graciously tolerated that we were often too chatty to be ready to order, and he kept the drinks/refills coming without having to be asked. The food was well prepared. My salmon was moist and delicious and the prime rib and burger on either side of me looked mighty appealing. Even the appetizer dip was full of flavor. Just a couple of notes for slight improvements: there were no coasters which often led to glassware attaching itself to the table. There were a few sticky spots from previous patrons. The restroom needed attention, including seats being wiped down and door hooks being replaced(purses/jackets need a place to hang). Overall, a decent outing on a Friday night.

My wife and I have enjoyed dining at this O’Charley’s for many years, but lately … not so much. We have eaten there twice in a months time and it’s amazing how far they’ve fallen. Our last visit was at 6:30 on Sunday evening. Upon arrival we were greeted by a disagreeable, sour odor reminiscent of old vomit.(Sorry, but that’s my best description!!) Luckily, it faded, or we were getting used to it, about the time a host led us to our booth. Oh, the place was near empty and no one was waiting before us. The booths are worn out and uncomfortable. The table clearly showed streaks of a residue from a poor attempt at cleaning. Our waiter arrived and took our drink orders. They arrived along with the complementary sweet bread and butter. We had no silverware, napkins, or saucers, which we pointed out to our server when he returned to take our orders. The bread is fantastic! Our appetizer arrived and we truly enjoyed several bites before the entrée arrived. Personally, I hate to eat my appetizer and main course together. I must admit the food is worth the visit but the cleanliness and service leave you way less than satisfied. This is clearly a management(or lack of) problem. RAISE your standards and TRAIN your staff!!! We’ll give you a few months.

Very disappointed in this place. Silverware was dirty. Staff was too slow on a regular Tuesday night. Appetizers was sent a minute before out entrees. We had asked for napkins before we ordered. Water took for ever to be served. A cook had tore off a piece of a served roll. General Manager was a douche. I made sure this idiot payed for our meal since we barely ate it due to all the issues we recieved. Sad thing is was I was so eager to eat here since I have been here before when I visited my family. Never again. Highly disappointed. Place deserves negative stars… Oh and I’m not from Ferguson.

Steak was fresh and cooked very nice and I got a free piece of Southern pecan pie. It was one of the best pecan pies I have ever tried.

I’m going to start with the positive. The waitress was ok… The restaurant gets a two star rating because the roles were ok and the cheap cocktail prices that were poured quite strong. The bad… From the moment I say down it was a horrible experience. The booth was uncomfortable and was so wore out I sunk in almost a foot. For a 5’6″ man this is an issue. The table had been cleaned, but only if you consider a table wiped down by the same rag they were using last night and likely to clean the bathroom. You could literally smell the filthy ness of the rag used which is a good thing I got my stiff jack and coke at that time… The appetizers are over salted and completely take away from the natural flavor of the food and finally my steak… I ordered it medium and for the most part they nailed that. It was seasoned though you might as well say they forgot to season it, the broccoli cheddar side was as bland as could be and the shrimp scampi was made with the tiniest shrimp you’d ever seen. The only part of the entre they didn’t mess up was the fully loaded baked potato though you can never go wrong when they load you up with sour cream and butter… Overall I would definitely not recommend this place. You can find much better food at similar restaurants and for similar to cheaper prices.

It’s no secret that I generally dislike chain restaurants. This is due to their severe lack of vegetarian options… chains have gotten better in the past few years, but not to my standard. Since incorporating fish back into my diet, many restaurants have been opened to me. This being said, O’Charley’s was still not a place I would willingly go to. However, it was Veterans Day, my husband was hungry and this is where he wanted to go. It’s close to the apartment and didn’t have a crazy line. The wait was about 15 minutes for a table, but we found two open seats at the bar. I ordered their grilled Tilapia and wasn’t impressed, but wasn’t really let down either. I place O’Charley’s in the same realm as Crapplebee’s, so needless to say, my expectations were not high. The fish had a decent amount of flavor and was paired with steamed broccoli. What surprised me was the price of my Newcastle — $ 3?! Whoa. If this is the norm, I’ll be drinking at O’Charley’s more often. That’s unheard of for a pint. My experience was better than I had previously anticipated… but I can’t see myself becoming a regular here.

Food is pretty average but their rolls is what save them. I do also enjoy the Sunday brunch since there’s not too many around here. The handcrafted strawberry lemonade is awesome!

Love the food here. But the service is hit and miss sometimes. The overloaded potato soup is to die for and I wish there was one closer to me so I could have it more. The rolls are to die for as well. I usually get the Louisiana Sirloin. This 12 oz steak is absolutley superb. The cajun spices and melted butter on top make it heavenly and I always get the baked potato on the side. We come here quite often and will continue to.

I was quite disappointed in the service today. We were a party of 13 and we sat almost 30 minutes before our drink orders were taken. After complaining to the manager we received our drinks that had been sitting for quite sometime. We could tell because most if not all the ice had melted. After about 45 minutes, I once again complained because no one had returned to take our meal orders. One hour after ordering, one person out of 13 got his bowl of soup. «We got to enjoy watching him eat!» Finally we were being served. By now we had been there a couple of hours. Needless to say, most of the orders were wrong. One person had ordered the tortilla soup. He was given baked potato soup. The server took it away and brought him another soup. «She brought him another baked potato soup!» Not tortilla soup he requested. I cannot remember when I have seen such poor, lacking service from such a Restraunt that serves such good food. It was obvious the server was over whelmed by the amount of people, but one would think they would have been better trained. We never even received an apology from management or our server. Will I go back to O’Charley’s? Not in the foreseeable future. I don’t care how good the food tastes, an establishment such as O’Charley’s should be better prepared and courteous. If or when I return, I am considering bringing an overnight bag just in case the service is so slow again. Eva P. Belleville, IL

My Cajuan steak was very good. However, it looks like this place is about to go out of business. Service was good. They need to remodel the interior. I’ll go there again. The place was dead on a Friday night, so no wait to get a table.

From the looks of the previous reviews, it appears that you either love this place or not. In our case, our party of three were all happy with our main dishes. The house salad was a fresh, crispy and healthy alternative to the side of fries. We all liked the side booths that were quiet and allowed us to have great conversation. We would all have dinner at O’Charley’s in the future.

It might be a step up from a school cafeteria. Great salads though, or stick to what takes least imagination. Would be a great place for a restaurant! Good atmosphere too!

Basically — it’s OK. The rolls are good — think TX roadhouse(the rolls might have been the highlight of my meal). I got the steak & shrimp combo — I ordered the steak Medium and it was more on the well done side of things. It had decent seasoning that saved it a little. The shrimp(panko fried) were actually pretty good. Got a baked potato(good) and broccoli rice casserole(didn’t like). Boyfriend got chicken strips and fries — he was pretty happy but that is a pretty hard meal to mess up. I got a piece of the Caramel pie to go and when I opened it to eat at home and took a bite there was immediately a weird taste that turned into a bad aftertaste. I had 1 more bite and wasn’t interested… it was not good. I would put this in the Applebee’s/Chili’s type line-up except that I’d rather go to either Applebee’s or Chili’s any day :)

My Son Alex and I returned for desert and the glasses were much cleaner and I felt like maybe they fixed the problem. The desert I got was good, but the brownie was like a brick. I could not even cut it with my fork or knife. I told the manager and he said maybe they added to much toffee to the brownie? He ask me if I wanted another one, I said no thank you. I was just telling him for futures customers . I was actually full and ready to go!~

Went here for lunch today with my grandmother, mother, and baby-daughter. it was just after the lunch rush, but not too slow that all the servers should have been on break. we were seated in the«bar» area, and the one server/bartender was really distracted. rarely came by, only filled our drinks after being asked. after waiting over 35 minutes for our food, we finally asked after it. it arrived, mostly fresh, but my sandwich was«old» and instead of the mashed potatoes i’d orders, i had a small handful of fries, which i suspect were taken from the larger but still small pile from my grandmother’s plate. other than that, the place was«fine.» the staff was generally sort of dismissive though. friendly to your face and blaze’ the minute your back was turned, which always irritates me. be rude and ignore me the whole time if you’re going to do that. they earned the third star only because they apologized profusely(well, the asst. manager and the manager did, not the server) and comped the entire meal.
