Erase Tattoo Removal

I would love to give 5 stars, which is the level of service I received when I was a client. I had an appointment scheduled for 11/​20, got there right on time and no one was there… door locked. No one called or emailed to let me know my appointment was cancelled. Since then I’ve called twice and emailed once… no response and it’s now ¹²⁄₁.
Did this place go out of business? I’d actually like to know, I was excited that the removal process was working. Not sure I could go back now that I haven’t heard from them in so long.

The results from the first treatment were magical. I could not believe how much the color faded after just one treatment. The process was comfortable and very fast. I truly expected to feel pain during the treatment and days after. Neither was the case. Erase exceeded all my expectations.

The doctor is great. It’s a great location, I feel not only welcome, but comfortable every time I walk through the door. With lots of early mistakes made on my body, I have been here more than a few times, and will continue to return as my only laser removal place. As a professional tattooer, I think the possibilities of coverups and complete removals are actually attainable through Erase. I recommend it to clients who have pieces that just aren’t workable for coverups and redos. As a tattooer, again, I think it’s important to have good examples of tattooing on me. Dr. Mac is really helping me make it so that’s possible. Wouldn’t get laser from anyone else. Period. No different than a tattoo, a proper end result can only be achieved by someone who truly knows what they do. Dr. Macariola is the best.

I have been going to Dr. Macariola at Erase for prob a few months now and my misspelled Toy Soldiers tattoo is fading away. I couldn’t be more happy. The experience is relaxed «not pain free» but relaxed, and the staff are super friendly. The laser used at Erase is unlike others in the Chicago area and can remove ink faster by stacking the procedure «more than one treatment per session». Dr. Macariola breaks the procedure down and has a after care bag of stuffs to take home. He also calls the day after the procedure which is super cool. I can’t say thank you enough!!!

I appreciate that this business is run by people who are friendly, prompt, and professional. The office is clean and pleasant. No questions were left unanswered and they explained every step in the procedure. Dr. Mac even called a day later to check up on the healing process, which is nearly unheard of these days. I had Living Social vouchers for my first two laser treatments and was considering leaving it at that, but the prices are so reasonable, I’m going to stick it out til the tattoo is finally gone.

I have been to several tattoo removal offices, both Dr’s offices and Med-​Spa type setting. Erase surpasses all of these by a long shot. Anthony was ready for me with paperwork as soon as I walked in. When I finished filling it out, Dr. Macariola came to get me and take me back to the room. He explained everything to me and had given me some information I was not aware of despite having had other tattoos removed before (elsewhere). The nurse came in with a bottle of water for me and collected my consent form. Anthony had also come back in briefly to let me know that if I was in need of another treatment, what the costs would be, of which I was very pleasantly surprised was quite reasonable. They then carried on with the removal process. The Dr gave me an aftercare bag with gauze pads and antibiotic cream and I was done. The whole thing took about 25 mins, which is fantastic. Now my tattoo was not all that detailed as I had already had it lasered a couple of times elsewhere, but regardless it was very nice to be taken care of in such an expedited but thorough manner.
I would highly recommend this to anyone in search of this procedure. Everyone was very professional, and informative in a nice, clean atmosphere. Great experience!
