My lunch today at Dave’s was one of my favorites. I always love that he provides the community with a menu that highlights local meat, harvested by the chef. Woods to table, as he calls it. Beat that kind of fresh.
Today’s menu was Venison Spaghetti with carrots, mushrooms and green peppers (from the local Trader José). I come here often and Dave knows I’m partial to Angel Hair pasta (something about the thick texture of spaghetti that makes me think of worms) so when my meal came out, I was delighted to see mine came with angel hair. A thoughtful chef!
The sauce was the perfect compliment for the venison — sweet and a bit tangy. I had two second helpings and I’m feeling grateful not only for the chef but also for the stretch in these yoga pants.
