Established in 2003.

We originally operated as Designs Of The Interior (DOTI) at 1035 Lake Street before moving around the corner and rebranding as Fringe in 2008. Leeann Heininger has 30 years of experience in residential and corporate design.

Business Owner

After 20 years in the corporate design world, Leeann Heininger opened her first Oak Park design studio and home furnishings business on Lake Street in 2002. She and her team of professional designers work with clients to create the home they love. Our studio moved to Marion Street in 2008, reopening as Fringe Home Design. She has worked in many of the area’s architecturally significant homes, including those designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, George Maher and E. E. Roberts.
