Awesome pet care for my pets for over 5 years. Very reliable, good quality sitters, trustworthy and dependable!

Out-​U-​Go is fantastic and I highly recommend them. They make it clear that their priority is to make your life easier and to provide your animal (s) with high-​quality care. I use them for daily walks for my dog and they have been dependable, professional, friendly and really just great. The other day the walker discovered that my dog had gotten into the garbage and bits and pieces of food were strewn all over the kitchen floor and into the dining room. The walker cleaned up everything, and I would have had no idea anything amiss had taken place if Out-​U-​Go hadn’t sent me an e-​mail filling me in on the events. So two great things — the walker cleaned up and the service sends you an e-​mail any time anything unusual happens.

Imp and Beowulf love the Outugo Oak Park team. They’re flexible and really wonderful with my hard-​to-​handle Alaskan Malamutes. One is a senior with special needs and the other a very energetic 2-​year-​old. My schedule changes frequently and they are always available for walking and staying with the dogs, Eight hairy paws up for Outugi, along with a couple of human thumbs as well.

Out U Go has never let us down. We’ve used them for dog walking during the work day and house sitters for vacations. Friendly, courteous service & easy to make appointments. Highly recommend.

We used Out-​U-​Go of Oak Park for about two years to visit our two kitties when both of us were out of town (which happened a lot). The service was excellent, pet sitters are highly professional. They left a note after each visit, watered our plants, picked the mail. They contacted us immediately when something was not as expected (e.g. once I forgot to mention that treats schedule has changed).
We moved to the East Coast and really wish we could take Out-​U-​Go with us!

I give Out U Go my highest recommendation. I have used this company for over 10 years, with 2 different dogs. The walkers are reliable and attentive to my dog and my home. My neighbors have even commented on the good care they have witnessed dog walkers giving my dog during their visits. I also appreciate the office staff members’ quick response to any minor concerns. This is a trustworthy company!

I’ve used Out U Go for the past 3 years and have always received fabulous service from them. I have 3 cats and it’s great that I can leave them in their home and have some one come to them and take care of them. They are a lot less freaked out than if I board them. They will leave you daily progress reports that you can go through when you return which is nice. Some reviewers have commented on the cost, but again, they are coming to your house & they will bring in the mail and provide other vacation services. They even offer house sitting if you have a very needy pet. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for pet services.

Wonderful service for my furry family members. We were going out of town and didn’t want to board our cats since one of them gets seriously stressed out when he has to be away from home. I was excited to read the notes when I got home, it was a fun way to hear about how everything went.
It is a bit pricier than other services I’ve used, but it was not too much more and worth it to know my cats were in good hands. I’d recommend the services and use it again. Five stars all the way.

I am not one to write reviews or one that hires an outside service to take care of my dog while I am away. I had to be in China for two weeks and needed a sitter last minute. The email updates, the perfect order home, the daily detailed notes of each visit was the assurance I needed to enjoy my trip abroad. I will recommend Out-​U-​Go without hesitation. My dog is elderly, timid and has some minor health issues. Jenny was not stressed at all when I arrived. When she is left alone for long periods she will make an accident in my bed (her little haven). Not one accident. Thank you Out-​U-​GO! I will be using your services again. Out-​U-​Go! in Oak Park has been a lifesaver on quite a few occasions!
My mom sometimes has to work late and the Out U Go team comes right over and takes me out. (I would be mortified if I ever had to go in the house!) When mom goes on business trips, they make it possible for me to stay at home instead of going somewhere where I have to spend my time in a smallish wire box with too much noise…
The team is always friendly — they give me lots of loving, and throw in some treats! They don’t mind feeding me my special food and giving me medicine when it’s allergy season.
They are always amazed at my energy… how fast I can run the stairs, how I talk to everyone… absolutely everyone! And are even understanding when I have to tell the big dogs on the other side of the street that I am every bit as tough as them. Sometimes I get in the first word AND the last on that topic!
They always take care to make sure I get the right amount of exercise, that I have plenty of time to take care of business — they always check my water, and scratch my belly. One of them even said that I have «buff buns»…must be all that agility work I do.
I would highly recommend Out U Go to any dog who wants a back up plan for those tough days when their mom is putting in overtime to bring home the beggin strips.

It pains me to write a bad review about Out-​U-​Go because I really, really wanted to like this place. Mostly, because I travel quite a lot both for business and pleasure, and a reliable pet sitter is crucial for me to have at-​hand anywhere I live.
With that, I have to also point out that I have used two other sitter services for my cat in the past in other locations I’ve lived (one in Palatine and one in the East Lakeview area of Chicago, both of which I’ve reviewed here on Unilocal with 5-​star ratings).
The disclaimer to this review is that I hired a sitter over Thanksgiving, so the holiday may have caused a few of the issues that irked me in the end.
1. Similarly to what a Unilocal reviewer also posted for Out-​U-​Go, I too had several sitters come in to care of my cat while I was away (at least 4). The only difference with myself and that Unilocaler was that I was out of the country, not just out of state, and I was at the mercy of whomever was in possession of my keys at the time. This made me very unhappy. The other services I have used gave me a dedicated sitter during my entire time as a client, not every single visit.
2. Out-​U-​Go does not provide text message or email updates. Again, I have to compare it to the other services I’ve used where I would get text messages in addition to notes left on the counter after each visit. This ensured that the sitter was coming at the time promised and gave me an instant sense of calm and relief wherever I was in the US. When I went out of the country last year, the sitter even emailed me with pictures each day! However, when I asked the manager about text/​email updates, she informed me that they do not offer those services.
3. Cost. The cost for each visit is astronomical. I even had to send the manager a comparison shop of other sitter services in the area. She eventually agreed to taking a small amount off per visit (no more than $ 2) and although I appreciated the gesture and the call to explain that they charge more because they’re bonded and insured (etc.) what I really wanted to say was, «So!». The other two pet services I’ve used (including the one in one of the trendiest parts on Chicago) cost nearly $ 10 less per visit, cost less for surcharges like holiday visits and waived weekend fees and were also bonded and insured.
4. I know it’s a little thing, but this year I got a Christmas card from the Chicago pet sitter, personally signed by the manager and the sitter who used to care of my cat. This year I got an e-​card from Out-​U-​Go that wasn’t personalized at all. Kind of a bummer.
Quite honestly, I will never use Out-​U-​Go again. I know they probably mean well, have dedicated staff, and are working to make their services exceptional, but they’re missing key elements to make them competitive in the market. Without small gestures like text messages, lower prices and dedicated sitters for each client, I don’t know who would want to continue to use their services. It seems like a waste of money.

I thought this service was excellent. My RVP’s (that’s a long story) took pity on Izzy and I (my dog and I) while I was recovering and could not walk her. At first I didn’t want to trust anyone with my girl but forced myself and I was not sorry. They are professional, kind, friendly and obviously they all love dogs.
This last time Rich and John did most of the walking and it became a ritual for Izzy to wait for them at the front window. Everyone you talk to via phone is courteous and helpful. Plus they are very accommodating to your schedule and flexible when things come up.
I was very happy with the outcome and if I ever need another dog-​walking service, this will be the place. Thanks Out U Go!!!

Always very professional. And the walkers really LIKE dogs! The time may not be spot on as another person said, but things happen. A previous visit may have a mess, or they cancel, traffic may be bad but the care is wonderful. And thats the thing, These people love your dogs… even if its not the same person. They just LOVE dogs!!! And simply spoil them rotten!

My 13 year old Rotweiler and I have been Out U Go clients for over 3 years. Originally, I did not sign up for regular visits, and found their reservation system (by phone, email or web-​form) to be very easy and convenient to use. The deadlines for scheduling a visit are reasonable, and it’s easy to do day-​of reservations. I love the «report card» messages we get for each visit, and I never worry when I’ve arranged to have them come in and get Heidi out for a walk, or even feed her when we have evening plans. I’m extremely pleased with the service, and would recommend them to anyone needing a regular or occasional pet care service.

A disappointment.
This service was recommended by a friend who has used them for years. However, when we hired them to pet sit our cat while we were away for a week, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. I have asked them beforehand, whether they would be able to come at the same time every day and was assured it was not a problem. However, it turned out they were visiting at random hours and not the same person, but five different people! During one of the visits they set off the alarm system and the police came, and we had to deal with the situation late at night (via cell phone) from another state. Another time they forgot to arm the alarm… Out-​U-​Go apologized to us for the problems they caused and reduced our fee, but really, who needs this kind of stress when you are trying to go on vacation? And they are not cheap! I really expected a much more professional service.

I’ve been using Out-​U-​Go for years. It’s very convenient, once you have an account established. I just send them an email to request dog walking, or feeding. My dog is a big fan of playgroup. They pick her up in a van and take her to a play area with other dogs. She’s usually pretty tired after that so I know she’s been running around a lot. The dog walkers have all been great, too. I highly recommend them for pet care services.

We absolutely love out-​u-​go. They take excellent care of our dogs… including our rotating door of foster dogs that we have at times in our home. They are flexible and willing to come whenever we need them… or not come when we do not need them. We feel very comfortable leaving our dogs with all of the out-​u-​go staff. We strongly recomment this service.

Out-​U-​Go has provided perfect service for my puppy — she loves her walker, Molly, and gets a lot of love and attention! They have never missed a day and have been very accommodating. It’s really convenient to pay by automatic credit card, as opposed to some random person on Craigslist who requires cash. I don’t have any concerns about trusting them with a key to our home or with my beloved dog.

I have been a client of Out-​U-​Go! for a year now. I am continually impressed by the professionalism of the office staff and their ability to be flexible with my work schedule. Oftentimes I am called to attend last minute meetings and they have always been available to accommodate my requests.
The dogwalkers are very friendly and I love reading the report card that my dog gets after every walk. Not only to I find out where he goes on his walks and if he chased squirrels, but also, they note any behavior changes they might have noticed that I need to be made aware of.
I enjoy receiving their monthly newsletters and appreciate their involvement in supporting local shelters and pup-​related non-​profits. I highly recommend!
