I wanted to try a different dry cleaners in the area so I tried PJ Cleaners. I went there today to drop off 7 shirts and a wool coat. My bill came out to $ 55. I had to ask for my clothing back because I never pay that much at snow white cleaners on Chicago ave. and I told that to the man working there. I went to snow white cleaners and I was charged only $ 30 for next day pickup. I will continue to go to snow white cleaners.

I have only had positive experiences with this dry cleaner. They have cleaned my grandmothers table cloth perfectly loads of times– not an easy feat with my messy guests. In fact, the last time I took it in I needed it back quickly and when we picked it up they said they were not satisfied with it and that they’d redo it for free when I returned it. That’s perfect service if you ask me.

I usually see the same people working here. They are very quiet and reserved. The shop can be very hot, and there is usually mountains of clothes piled around the counter. I have had my suede winter jacket cleaned here for about $ 45, and two pairs of pants shortened. My jacket came back with stains/discoloration still on it. I expected they wouldn’t come out, but it would have been nice if they would have gone the extra distance and gave some recommendations on how to restore the jacket. My first pair of pants, I had to come back 3 times because they were still too long. I did not appreciate the tailor suggesting that somehow it was my fault, depending on where I hitched my belt line up to. Not professional to mumble excuses blaming the customer for your work. I recently got a pair of jeans shortened, keeping the original hem. I think it was like $ 15 to shorten and keep the hem. It looks fine from a regular distance, but if you look right at the hem, the stitching is crooked. I went to PJ’s because it was within walking distance.
