I started in 1985 with a request from a family friend.

I realized quickly that a portrait symbolizes an emotional connection to be sure. I knew then that this is work worth exploring and I have continued since.

I can be found at Studio 144 in the Oak Park Arts District. A warm & inspiring space to explore your portrait options, ask questions, or sit comfortably for a fun & quick sketch to take home.

As a professional portrait artist, my formal art education was enhanced at a young age learning from masters of portraiture. My love for children and portraying they’re exuberant spirit continues to motivate me.

PS.) Yes, commissioned work is largely from (several) photos, but when possible a 30 minute live sitting is best.
