History

Established in 2015.

After years of being a backyard beekeeper, Steve Nimmer decided to turn his passion into a business. He has spent a number of years collaborating with local commercial beekeepers about some of the best practices for maintaining healthy bee colonies. Steve also has a wood shop in Oak View, California where he builds custom bee boxes and hive parts.

Steve grew up in Carpinteria, California and has always been fascinated by flora and fauna. He hopes to one day own his own piece of property to farm not only bees, but food. His fiancé and co-​owner, Kelly, is a health educator and wants to do the nutrition and agricultural education for the community. They hope to pursue this dream with the first step being their beekeeping business.
