Terrace Cafe

The food is so-​so, and it’s convenient to the workers in this office building. They make up for it with their great service and I’ve come to rely on their egg breakfast sandwiches, which blow away anything McD’s could render.

So I eat here at least 3x a week, I should rate it right? so maybe other people in my complex might try it out! Just a big FYI, this is a cafeteria, not some fancy sit down, waiter, bar, gourmet dining place. What it does have to offer is a short order cook, who is actually pretty friendly and is the ‘hairdresser who I spill my daily ongoings’ to type of person. What also stands out here is the soups. Every day is a different soup-​de-​jour and my favorites are the chicken gumbo and cream of chicken with rice. Chicken tortilla is tasty and so is the minestrone. They put together a mean chicken caesar salad too. You can order up your style of cold cut sandwhich or panini too. So for $ 5.50 you get soup, chips and sandwich or special of the day and soup. And if the ol’ man is in a ripe mood… he might throw in a free banana. hehe get it… ripe…banana? :P
If ur in the Oakbrook area and you aren’t expensing $ 25 lunch, come here for a lunch. Parking is plentiful and the A/​C is always on.
