Comfort Inn Yosemite Area

Low price and there’s a reason why, Parking is horrible, sheets didn’t get changed even after setting out the request, the iron was tethered to the ironing board. I could go on but to sum up, you can do better for your money.

We stayed here one night. The room was clean and appeared freshly painted and the bedding looked new. The bed itself was comfortable (yay!) as were the pillows. The table and counter tops were granite. There was a refrigerator but no microwave.
The breakfast was good with both hardboiled and scrambled eggs. Sausage, a toaster, and a waffle iron for make-​your-​own toast and waffles rounded out the hot-​breakfast items.
I have only two complaints. The first is that our door handle jammed open as we were trying to leave. Since we were in a hurry, we called the desk and they didn’t sound surprised at it not working. They said it just needed to be pulled on hard. Well, my husband is very strong and he pulled on it quite hard, so much so that I was afraid of him breaking it. Anyway, we had to leave the room open while we went out, but we saw the lady coming to fix the door when we left. Made me a little nervous, but it ended well.
My other complaint is minor. The outside light shown into our room around the sides and top of the drapes. I had brought my sleeping mask so the light didn’t bother me, but if I hadn’t it might have kept me awake.

Carpet good condition.
Sheet and pillows are clean and crisp.
Breakfast has varioty.
Should visit on your way to Yosemite.

The room was nicer inside than expected. The hotel is pretty old and right behind a shady biker bar. The lady at the front desk was very rude and not accommodating at all. The air-​conditioning was very loud and kept us up all night. Not worth the cost for our stay.

Stayed her a couple of night. The room was clean. Did not hear my neighbors through the walls (always a plus). The water was hot and the air conditioner was cool. The breakfast covered the essentials. I would stay here again. Side note, for some reason my room did not come with a microwave, a frig. but no microwave. When asked at the front desk they said my room just did not have one… if you need/​want one be sure to request it.

Friendly & helpful staff and suuuuper comfortable beds. Everything was super clean, pretty quiet, and breakfast was okay. Get to breakfast early on as it is a tiny space and will get crowded quickly. Interesting antique/​thrift shops in the area as well as some good restaurants (South Gate Brewery!). Definitely a good place to stay for cheap if you’re visiting Yosemite

Overall very good.
The pillows were amazing! The bed comfortable. The fridge and microwave were nice touches.
Our towels were also refreshed which was nice.
The downside was that my room was near where breakfast was. If I didn’t feel like waking up shortly after breakfast started, too bad!
The breakfast was actually pretty good for a Hotel/​Motel free breakfast.

We rented a king size non smoking room. Came with decent size shower, free samples, fridge microwave, ironing board, and fluffy pillows.
We stayed in room 154 which looked as if it had been redone but you could tell where old fixtures had been.
Towels were refreshed every time. That’s a plus!
Spa and pool were great and they provided pool towels to use. A lot of lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas.
Breakfast was okay but not amazing — make your own waffles, cereal, oatmeal, pastries, hard boil eggs, sausage, and juice. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate could be in a to go cup which was a nice touch.
My only complaint about it was the noise from the breakfast area. They only had three tables inside the actual breakfast area and the rest are outside patio tables. We could hear all the chatter from guests in the morning due to how close we were.
Tips:
If you have kids get a room near the pool — great downtime for them.
Some rooms face a dive bar called the dirty donkey and you could hear the noise from the bar.

If you are planning a vacation to Yosemite, this is the place to stay!
This hotel is in Oakhurst, 30 minutes away from Yosemite’s entrance. My best friend booked 1 night, 2 beds here for $ 86 on
, a steal in comparison to the hotels inside of Yosemite National Park. In addition, it is not as far as the other hotels we looked at that were a similar price (some were 1 – 2 hours away from Yosemite!)
The hotel staff was friendly & helpful! We received our breakfast tickets, wifi code, & there was plenty of parking available. Our room was clean & it came with a desk, TV, refrigerator, & microwave. Our beds were huge & incredibly comfy, the comforter kept me warm all night, & it comes with 4 pillows: 2 soft & 2 firm for whichever you prefer (I thought that was so neat because pillows can make or break a person’s stay & the firm pillows definitely made my stay!)
The breakfast was great, especially for a free breakfast because they had hot foods available too (usually places just give you cereal & pastries)! There were scrambled eggs, sausages, 2 waffles makers, several types of cereal, bread, drinks — juices, coffee, water, tea, hot cocoa. There were staff constantly checking to ensure there was enough food. Unfortunately, the dining room is small & since this is a popular hotel, it was busy. There is patio seating available & they provided trays so that you can take your food to your room if everything was taken.

The woman checking me in at the front desk was definitely not happy to see me, which felt super strange after the always excellent customer service on my recent trip to Japan. Here it felt like I was checking into some sort of correctional institution.
The woman at the desk the next morning was friendly however, so maybe someone was just not having a good day?
Room was decent however, with a super comfortable bed that would be hard to top.
In-​room mini-​fridge and microwave came in handy.
Check the location of the room on the map they give you, and make sure it isn’t next to stairs. Not sure how people seem to go out of their way to make the most noise possible when ascending. It even shook some of the fixtures in the bathroom area.

Stayed here for one night on 4÷9÷2015.
Booked this hotel so we could break up our drive to Yosemite Valley. We were coming from Carlsbad, CA and needed a break. Got in around 12:45 am. The man at the counter was nice. Checked in, then he told us to drive around to the back to park. Since we got in late we had to park far. Only stayed for less than 5 hours because we needed to hit the road early to get a campsite.
Rooms were nice and comfy. Free breakfast that we didn’t make it to in the morning, but nice knowing that it’s offered. Right along the main street.
About an hour and 30 min from Yosemite Lodge.

Great for the price. Best $ 89 motel we’ve ever stayed with. Bed was comfy, tons of pillows. The wifi is spotty but nice to have and free. Breakfast was more than adequate for a free continental.
Note: Four stars is my rating for this type of establishment, nothing fancy but very well done for the price.

Stayed this Fri to sat and I loved it. Beds were very soft. The room smelled good. It was clean. The breakfast was very good but the scrambled eggs didn’t taste good though. The front desk lady was great when we checked in I was so tired I gave her my keys instead of the paper back and she’s like cool I got a new car lol. Overall awesome place.

This motel is legit I lost my computer there and they ship it back to me the next time. It’s always worth to spend a little more on Chain motel company. Their breakfast service was good too,

This place is the best bang for your buck. The people who wrote the last reviews had to have gotten this place mixed up with another. Rooms are clean, sheets and linens clean and comfortable. I go to Yosemite often and I will be staying here every time!

It’s impossible to get breakfast when a tour group is going through. Even the attendant can’t move around in the tiny breakfast room. Most seating is outside, and even that is often taken. The scrambled eggs might be edible on toast, but I’ll never know, since I was never able to get to the toaster.
The internet was slow, the refrigerator was noisy, and the bed was not as comfortable as I’d like. Other than all that, it was OK.

This place was very accommodating. The front desk was very friendly. The room was clean & the pillows were perfect :)
Only one thing I had an issue with. The toilet paper was very rough. Now I know that’s a weird thing to say. But it left me in a very uncomfortable place. Be forewarned & bring your own TP.
My only gripe was the wipe :)

I felt that this Comfort Inn was a great choice. In the town of Oakhurst, there are a lot of options, but this hotel had a great location right off the highway exit. There were plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, and even a movie theater nearby. The font dest was very helpful and welcoming. Overall the place was clean and basic. Coming from out of town, in need of a place to rest– I’d suggest this one.

Quite a mixed bag at this place…
Initial impressions:
The parking lot is very strangely laid out. There were several lined spaces that said «No Parking». Not reserved, not for guests, just no parking. Why bother having lined spaces if that’s the case? The lobby is pretty clean and freshly decorated — cool little selection of souvenirs also. The service was certainly lacking. Every interaction with the front desk seemed to feel more like an interruption. Definitely not friendly.
The room itself was perfectly functional. There were some nice modern touches — nice flat screen TVs with tons of channels, and high-​speed internet throughout the hotel. The air-​conditioning worked very well. Otherwise, it was pretty dated. The beds were reasonably comfortable, and the room was quiet enough to ensure a good sleep. The bathroom was decent, but the toilet had a constant yellow-​tinted water in it which was a bit gross… not sure what was going on there. The lighting in the room was eerie — perfectly, blinding white light from everything. Didn’t try the pool, but the hot tub was a bit disappointing… it was more of a «luke-​warm» tub. Didn’t stay in there too long as a result.
The breakfast every morning was decent — eggs, sausage, waffles, muffins, danishes, cereals, juices, etc. However, the size of the breakfast area was ridiculously small. The place was absolutely packed, inside and outside. At least they acknowledge this and do allow guests to take food back to their rooms.
Overall, it wasn’t terrible. For the price (and it isn’t cheap), you’re really paying for the location, not so much the quality of the hotel. Probably wouldn’t stay here again unless there was no other option.

Anlage Motel hat uns nicht gefallen, Zimmer sauber. An der Anmeldung die 2 Damen unfreundlich, insgesamt kam man sich nur geduldet vor. Einzig gute: die Bar direkt am Motel, tolle Atmosphäre :-) In de ganzen Ortschaft wird man nicht als gern gesehener Gast behandelt.

Stayed for the weekend /​far from Yosemite.
My boyfriend and I stayed at this place because of it being pet-​friendly. We went to Yosemite for the weekend, and let me tell you, it is an hour drive to the valley (about 30 minutes to the entrance). Plan your trip to Yosemite well if you’re thinking about staying in Oakhurst.
Favorite part about the room was our king size bed — it was cozy. The heater worked really well. They’ve got a hairdryer, flat screen tv, free wifi, and free breakfast between 7am to 10am.
I am pretty sure I only found 1 — 3 channels working for tv, as the many other channels said you had to subscribe, and the front desk button on the phone didn’t work. Noise level: pretty quiet when we went, but we could hear the fans going on/​off from neighbors.
If you’re looking for a place to stay over the weekend, stay here if you’re on a budget. It’s a good place with friendly staff and overall clean. We stayed in room 244, upper level. Lots of parking space.
