A Plus Tire And Wheel

Came in today for a slow leak; they found the nail and had me on my way in about 10 minutes, for $ 15. So far so good, can’t really ask for more. Also very convenient they were open today, most other places I’d checked were closed for the holidays.

Came here I would say a year ago to get one of my tires patched up. Everything went well until a few weeks later my hubcap the same one that had the patched, came off when I drove on the freeway. Pretty sure they didn’t put it in all the way when they were patching it up and that’s what happened. Will never go there again I’ll take my chances elsewhere.

Stopped by on a whim return home from Alameda. I got an estimate from Sears and Big O 1^st. Save $ 200.00 getting tires and wheel alignment. Owner/​manager was knowledgeable and they completed my job very fast.

So after being happy with their brake job. I started noticing a day after that my brakes were making weird noises. I took it to another place which specializes in Nissan cars. Apparently they installed my brake pads incorrectly. I had no idea. But things were greased that weren’t suppose to be. Parts were upside down. I trusted them to do things correctly and it is scary that it wasn’t. I’m just glad I found out. They also didn’t notice my calipers left and right were installed correctly from a previous shop. That would have been helpful to know. They also used cheap/​bad generic brake pads. I would not have known any of this. I only know because it started making noises and I had to get a lower control arm bushings fixed. Now I feel stupid for giving them 5 stars in my previous review. This place lost my trust.

Been losing air out of the front passenger side tire and soon realized there was a nail lodged deep in there. Took it to here because they were only a little out of the way on my way home. They found the nail in less than a minute, plugged it in less than 5, added air, and I was on my way feeling just $ 15 lighter.

Awesome customer service, cheap prices, fast service. No haggling.
This will be my one stop shop for tires, brakes, mufflers, etc., for years to come.
$ 20 for 4 tire rotation. Whaaaaaat?

I give this place 3 stars the customer service is lacking. Came in for a break job I need break s and rotor s. Agreed to terms. After I picked up my vehicle the car was making a squealing noise. When I went back all the employees went missing?! After tracking one down they fixed the noise but it should have been installed correctly in the first place.

My experience with a plus was just that, Faisal was awesome, I gave him my price range and style preference and he showed me all of my options and got me out by the time I was done eating lunch. Very respectable gentleman. I will most definitely make the drive to Oakland for my next set of wheels and tires. Shukran my friend!

I went in there 3 times so far to get a slow leak in a tire repaired as well as to
have 4 tires removed from the rims so I could paint the rims. No hassle, they
did all 4 tires and rebalanced them for $ 10 each — a very good price. One of the
tires had a slow leak in it which they fixed for free a week later.
I took my old Mercedes in for a 4 wheel alignment. They have new Hunter
equipment — did a good job for $ 99 and they did it right away.

Worst place ever. Got both my rear tires changed. Started making whining noise. Brought it back and all they said was we put it on correctly. Didn’t bother checking, and tried to push me off. Never recommend this place.
Fyi. Not the cheapest place in town.

I had to get my tire plugged due to a nail puncture. I called these guys and they said to come right away, that they could get me out within 20 minutes. I came right away, they plugged and re-​mounted my tire all for $ 15 within the specified time frame. I am satisfied.

Stay away from this shop.
I took my brand new suv to get one of my tires patch cause it had a nail in it, I get to the shop n I tell this young kid that I had a nail in my back tire he sees the rim n check the tire to see if he could take the nail off but he couldn’t so he removed my rim of my suv and fixed, finally he put it back n tells me that it’s fix. I was ready to pay him but like any guy that loves cars and specially that it’s brand new, I when ahead n star cleaning my rim cause it was full of grease cause he didn’t cleaned, so I noticed two big scratches on the inside of the lip, I let him know:
He told me it was like that already, I said the car is brand new plus there was no way I can scrape a rim in the inside when the face of the rim still looks brand new, he said don’t pay come n talk to my boss tomorrow, I said ok, I was about to leave when this other guys comes out n tell my whats wrong, he tells me that theres no scratches its just the grease, he start cleaning the rim n said there’s nothing wrong, so I show him the two big scrapes on the inside of the rim, he told me thats Bull Shit that I just didn’t want to pay n the scrapes where there already, he keeps saying that it’s BS that he has brand new machines n they would never do that, even a costumer came n checked out n said that I was rigth that there was no way a side walk could do that specially cause the scratch was going all the way inside the tire…
I know is a Long story but if you spend a bunch of money in a brand new car, I dont think you would appreciate some idiot for not big careful end up scratching your new ride… stay way from this place or if it is your last option just check your car n rims before you go and before you leave

I just got back from A Plus Tire because I had a slow leak in one of them. The technician came straight out, asked me what was wrong, and promptly checked it out. Turns out, there was a nail in my tire. He patched it up and I was out the door 15 minutes later. It was fairly inexpensive as well, which made me extremely happy. Thanks A Plus Tire!

They have Great Prices with a nice rim selection with great service. Talk to Max! I didn’t know what rim I wanted exactly and he was happy to out them on… let me see then and make sure it was what I wanted. I had concerns with the smoothness. So he picked a good tire with a nice tread to make sure I would be happy. I would recommend all my friends here.

I bought four tires here and we did a brake check. I got the tires on fast and was out of there in 45 minutes or less. They gave great service at a great price.
They put tires on a 4 rims I brought in and didn’t tell me the rims were bent. They just tried to balance them and my front end shook.

I needed 4 tires replaced. All the big chains were expensive and confusing — Big O couldn’t even give me an estimate (they didn’t call me back). Oh well, because A Plus made the whole process simple and relatively cheap. I didn’t need an appointment — just showed up and they had the tires replaced in under an hour for around $ 400.
One annoying thing (which all auto workers seem to do) was how they didn’t mention the additional fees on top of taxes. I understand there are disposal costs, ect, but I asked specifically multiple times «will the price be my quote plus tax» and every time it was «yes, yes, yes, boss». Of course once I got the receipt there was about $ 35 in fees and other miscellaneous BS. Which I think is fine, I just want to know about it up front. Why does almost every mechanic do this? It’s shady. And I’m not your boss.
All that said A Plus Tire was a great place for tires. I can’t speak for their other work — the place seems to be the owner and one worker (who no speaka da Eenglish), so they could either be really good or… not. They aren’t very busy so at least you won’t have to wait.
P. S. I checked all the rims but couldn’t find any spinners. This being Oakland, I was a bit disappointed. «They spinnin’, they spinnin’!!!»

I needed 4 used tires and Max the owner was very helpful and considered that I had a certain amount I could spend I got 4 great used tires at a very good price. The service was very good. He new I wanted 4 used tires that was the same brand and tread. He also advised me I will be needing some new rims real soon, but did not rush me. Any tire service you need I recommend you to see Max. You will be happy with the service and care they will give to your car and also to you.

This is a hard review for me to write because the guy in charge is a Muslim and so am I. The fact is that I found a better deal on the tires than at this location but I wanted to give my business to the local guy and I don’t mind paying more but I can’t accept being ripped off.
He chose some tires called Advantage and said they were ok. I also chose to get rims as well. After I left the shop I did research and found that these tires were dangerous and people complained– many, not one or two — that they lost control of their car because of them. In addition, he had selected the wrong tire size.
I didn’t think it was a big deal, so I called in and we decided on some Hankook tires instead. He said he would sell me the rims and tires for $ 800.00 out the door. I agreed.
The day I go to get my tires replaced, I have a guy come and buy my old rims. This guy decides that he will take the tires as well as the rims. When it is time to pay, I pay the $ 800.00. I was a bit tired so I forgot to tell the guy to not charge me for the old tire disposal. I come back about 7 minutes later and let him know that he charged me $ 20 on the receipt for the tire disposal fee and I’d like that money back. He refuses and his reply «That was an out the door price» I explain to him that the out the door price included that $ 20 tire disposal fee which he did not have to do. He again says «I gave you an out the door price» He says something about me not havig to pay tax as well. That’s strange because the receipt says I paid $ 54.00 in taxes.
