ABC Security Service

This company hires people with an attitude. They are pushy and judgemental. They are in some of our government buildings in Alameda county butting into personal things that are not any of their business as security guards. These want to be cops are board and rude so they start micro managing people standing in line its worse then going to the DMV if you could possibly imagine anything worse then that. These people make the DMV look like a pleasant to go.

This morning I went to do an early check in of my bags at the Hawaiian Airlines terminal at Oakland Airport. Only to find no one their except a security officer Feharti Mohand at the side checking badges of employees of the airport/​airlines entering the terminal. No one was at the terminal for Hawaiian Airlines so I went to the back of the counter to see if anyone was working there. To no avail, couldn’t locate anyone. I was trying to flag this security down to get his attention. While talking to him in sign language because he didn’t bother to stand up and in a professional manner approach me or help me. I ended up walking to him, I asked him if he knew if anyone was working there. He told me that he just saw the gal leave or maybe she went to the back, I said well is there any way that you could find out or what should I do? I was actually shocked the way his deameanor was, he didn’t seem to mind that I was in the back of the counter of the airlines booth. I started to wonder WOW, no wonder all of the these people are able to get thru security. Anywho, he replied «That is not my job» I said «Well, can you please call your manager so that I know what steps to take next» He completely ignored me and basically told me to leave. WOW! I’m 8 months pregnant and my blood pressure just went sky rocketing. Here I am no help from him with 2 over sized bags to check in. COULDN’T believe the kind of customer service this guy was providing. Oh and I was just on their website, how they talk about clients/​customers are number one and providing excellent service. Not from this guy, what a shame to be wearing this uniform and he be an Ambassador for the company. I’ve been in the recruiting business for years and my, my is it really slim pickings out there to choose someone like this? By the way, is he okay mentally? It seems as though something is wrong with him or he does not know how to really deal with clients/​customers. He needs a retrain or a different line of work. This is not his best suit.
I left my bags in front of the Hawaiian Airlines counter and I ending up walking up to a guy at TSA that were checking people in to the gate. I told him what was going on and he told me in a very professional manner what to do. He informed me that Hawaiian Airlines may already be closed but to call and use the white phones (he even showed me where the white phones were) to speak to an operator to see if they could get someone out here to help me or give me some guidance. TSA was very friendly and patience. Did your security officer not know this? What is the point of having your officer their if he does not know anything? Is this the way you folks train your employees? I would be ashamed to be using your services for security. I can only imagine what kind of reaction people would get if their was a crisis. Would we be getting the same response as what Feharti Mohand gave? If this is the case, thank you but no thanks.

Had an issue when one of their employees at a public parking garage was not allowing entry to contractors with racks on their trucks. This was preventing us from conducting business at the Oakland Recorders office. Had to call, leave a message, then call back the next day, when my call was not returned. Prevented us from conducting necessary business for 2 days before the issue was resolved. Also claim they do not receive email, nor have a formal complaint process. Will see if it is really resolved the next time we try to enter.
