Mike @ Ambrose Woodworks did a beautiful custom job on two dining tables for us! He was very helpful and offered lots of information even before we decided to use his services! He was professional and through. He was respectful of our design plan and worked with us to make the table we envisioned! His prices were very reasonable and his turn around time was quick! We couldn’t be happier with out new tables.

Ambrose woodworks is hands down the best in artisan woodcraft. We have purchased two tables and two dog bowl stands from Mike and will continue to work with him as our family grows.
Mike is communicative, prompt and a true professional in his field. Confession: I follow his social media and get excited when new pieces are published.
To us, there is no other choice than reclaimed wood. Not only does it look beautiful, it is more sustainable for the earth.
Big ups to Ambrose for holding it down.

Mike built 28″ hairpin legs for a table/​desk I had made, and they turned out so well. They look great, are really level and are incredibly sturdy. He recommended 3-​rod, built them in a really short amount of time and even went out of his way expedite them because he knew I was looking forward to finishing the table. Top notch craftsmanship, highly recommended.

Mike built a custom dining table for me to the exact specs I had asked for. I could not be more pleased with the results of his meticulous work. The table is built to last, crafted to perfection and it’s absolutely gorgeous looking. Mike himself is patient, very reasonable, and delivered in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend going to him first before any other place. Truly satisfied!

I contacted Mike about a table and he invited me to take a look at his work. He designed a table to fit my specific space and even asked to see a photo of the room it would be in so he could match it perfectly to its surroundings. And he did just that! A couple days later and it was ready to be picked up. You get what you pay for, and Mike’s craftsmanship and attention to design and detail make his work definitely worth it. It’s an added bonus to know you’re getting something made locally out of reclaimed materials! We couldn’t be happier.

Gorgeous work. I first spotted Mike’s stuff on Craigslist, but everything kept selling before I could buy it! After I emailed about a table, Mike said it had sold but he’d be happy to make me another just like it. I emailed him Thursday and my table was ready to pick up on Friday evening.
It’s a lovely table with reclaimed wood and he bends the steel for the table legs himself. The fact that we have an original, beautiful table and supported an Oakland craftsman is awesome.

Ask Mike to build you something and it will come out better than you could dream. Good prices, excellent communication and the craftsmanship is second to none. Highly recommended.
