Fantastic service. So super helpful. Bike we rented was really nice and came with all the accessories we could possibly need.

This is an awesome bike shop, where a friend and I rented bikes to explore Oakland and Berkeley. The bikes were perfect, and the advice and map provided were everything we needed to explore the East Bay. Maybe most important is that the owner Clay is a wonderful guy, who so clearly cares about his community.

Need a little weekend adventure with your kid? Rent one of their bike trailers or bikes with child seat. We got the trailer and took it out for a Sunday ride — only $ 8. Plus our baby loved the monkey helmet. EEee-EEee she kept saying. When I took the trailer back I was having some gear trouble and Bill fixed me up. Now my bike is working better than after my last expensive tune up from another shop. Like most small local shops they don’t carry a ton of inventory but if you need a tune up or rental this is a great spot.

GREAT customer service! If you go there, ask for Adam — he was amazing. We recently moved back to the Bay Area. Adam took the time to go over all the nearby trails with us, fixed our son’s bike very quickly(the front fork had been installed backwards — Adam noticed it immediately and fixed it for free). He was a real pro and a very nice guy.

Decent selection of bikes(road, hybrid, mountain) and decent prices and awesome service. Don’t try to upsell you. I wanted a road bike and was actually talked into getting a hybrid which was cheaper. Came back 15 mins after the hour and they didn’t charge for the second hour. They are happy to suggest routes to ride and provide a map.

I just rented an Xtracycle last weekend and had an amazing time. Adam worked with me before, during, and after and was super friendly and helpful the whole way. I was really able to enjoy the Xtracycle, which was well tuned and in great shape(and I’m a picky consumer here). The 24-hour rental was awesome because I got to enjoy it overnight and even get in a short ride on the second morning. Adam set me up with 2 Yepp seats for my kids. And from our above-and-beyond department, another guy at the shop(sorry, I didn’t catch your name) noticed that the headset on my personal bike was loose and kindly tightened it up for me. How awesome is that? 5 stars for this great experience and Adam’s awesome help. Definitely check this place out if you want to rent a bike in Oakland!

If you want to rent a bike in the city, there are plenty of options. But in the East Bay, this is one of only a few locations. They have a great selection of bikes and they’ll set you up with gear to keep you safe(helmets, spare tubes, maps) that come with the rental. They also give you helpful advice on places to go. Best of all, they have a range of bikes. Unlike the city bikes shops, this one has road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids, and family bikes. Staff are friendly and knowledgable.

SUPER friendly staff. Totally affordable day rentals and they won’t rip you off if you rent for the day and hourly ends up being cheaper, they’ll give you the best deal. I may have wanted the staff to be a little more confident about the type of bike to rent me for a local mountain biking trail – tried to give me a bike with super thin tires at first – but all was corrected. Additionally, the deposit is cheap but there’s no proof of return payment once you’ve returned the bike – which would be ideal. I will DEFINITELY recommend this business and rent from them again.

I love this rental shop as the rates are awesome and they have lots of equipment available. The staff was super friendly and helpful as I saw trying to look for a toddler bike seat to attach to my own bike as home as well. Overall I love this place and hope more people visit as there are bike paths all around jack London square to tour.
