From the moment that we met Rebecca at our initial planning meeting, we felt 100% at ease that our wedding day was literally going to be the best day ever, and it was. Our yearlong planning process was overwhelmed with venue issues and difficult vendors, though Rebecca saved the day at each wrong turn and despite having multiple clients at one time, she exerted all of her efforts to keep the planning moving forward no matter what.

Rebecca is the best! We live in Philadelphia and our daughter and her (now) wife live in Oakland. My wife will chime in on the planning, but I can say for the rehearsal, ceremony and reception, Rebecca was calm, cool and professional. She keeps everything on track with a light touch. She’s there when needed. Everybody on the team genuinely enjoyed working with her.

Rebecca was awesome, and made our cross-​country planning possible (we got married at the Oakland Museum but live in New York). She listened, remembered, and took care of our needs, and the vendors she recommended fit what we wanted perfectly. She was super organized and made sure we were on track with everything.
On the day of the wedding, my wife and I didn’t have to worry about a thing and everything turned out as beautiful and fun as we had hoped for. What more can I say? If you’re hiring a planner in the Bay Area, she’s the way to go.

If you’re trying to decide whether or not to hire a wedding planner, my advice is simple: DO IT! If it’s even remotely possible, hire a wedding planner who will also act as the day-​of coordinator; it’s worth every penny.
Rebecca is the absolute best. She is so organized, thorough, experienced – she anticipated issues and came up with solutions before they even had time to stress me out. She paid attention to and really cared about every single detail of the wedding, and helped us organize and strategize. Thanks to her, the week leading up to the wedding was stress-​free, and the day itself was PERFECT. Like, magically perfect. I honestly don’t know how she does it.
But most important of all, Rebecca is just an incredibly kind, patient, fun-​to-​be-​around, chill person, who we love spending time with and who made wedding planning something we enjoyed and looked forward to (rather than dreaded).
Rebecca will be as hands-​on or –off as you like. She’ll help you brainstorm themes and ideas if you’re drawing a blank, or she’ll help you find the perfect vendors if you know what you want but just can’t find it on your own. For example, we knew we wanted something special for our printed materials, but couldn’t find the right designer or letterpress studio. A week later, Rebecca has managed to find an amazingly talented artist (who had never even done wedding design before) who created a perfect suite of invitations, envelopes, programs, table numbers, heck, he even created stamps and hang tags for our goodie bags. Similarly, we were having trouble finding the right DJ, and Rebecca went beyond the standard wedding DJ circuit to find us the right person for the job.
On the day of the wedding, Rebecca kept everything running smoothly and on time; she wrangled friends and family; kept the bride and groom happy and well-​fed; even hung up and broke down the beautiful bistro lights that she rented to us for the venue. Honestly, we couldn’t have done any of this without her. Hiring Be-​Hitched was, without question, the best decision we made throughout the whole wedding process. So, again, my advice is DO IT!

Rebecca is the best. I couldn’t imagine working with anyone else: Rebecca is kind, patient, and fun to be around. She’s also excellent at figuring out what works for her couples. When it felt like my fiancée and I were saying no to everything and couldn’t find anything we liked, Rebecca was always able to find the answer. And on the day of the wedding, she ensured that everything (and every person) was in place. We didn’t have to worry about anything.

Rebecca is awesome! Even though that sums it up I am sure you would like to know why? I had a vision and am a pretty crafty girl, but when it came to logistics and coordinating I was a little lost, so we hired Rebecca as our Day of Coordinator and paid for unlimited email before the wedding as well. I remember the first question I asked Rebecca was whether I should pad the time on our invite to make sure people showed up on time. When she informed me that most guests try to be early or at least ontime to weddings and that padding the time would just result in most guests wandering around the venue while we were still getting ready I knew she was my girl.
Before the wedding:
She always responded to my emails in a timely manner, which is huge! She was also super helpful with all those weird/​tough etiquette questions that come up during weddings.
Day of:
Well, we kind of hit a snag with our shuttle vendors (which we found on our own). If we hadn’t had her there to help us work through the situation I would have flipped out… guaranteed. Once the ceremony started everything was smooth sailing and perfect. All the décor was set up just how I envisioned it… even better actually. She added small touches that I hadn’t even thought of (i.e. eucalyptus on the wooden menu and chalkboard welcome sign).
In addition to being an awesome day of coordinator… she is just a nice, fun, cool person.

Here to echo everyone else’s praise! Rebecca was the best decision my husband and I made about our wedding. Once we realized planning a wedding is not as easy as it seems, we reached out to Rebecca after running into her while planning someone else’s wedding at our venue.

(Our photographer and officiant hadn’t worked with her before, and both separately commented that she was exceptionally organized and professional). Rebecca even managed to kindly wrangle all 17 members (seriously) of our «boisterous» bridal party.
If you’re wavering on hiring a planner, just do it. It doesn’t mean the wedding won’t be 100% your vision, but it does mean you won’t be bogged down in the stress of vendor contracts and timetables, and can focus on the good stuff.

Hiring Rebecca to coordinate/​plan our wedding at the 2-​month mark was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding. Things were chaotic and overwhelming and she came in and quickly calmed everything and put us at ease. It was great to have an unbiased and experienced professional to run things by to help make decisions (like napkin design, cocktail choices, etc.) and though she was honest she was always respectful of our vision (which she spent hours to understand prior to starting).
She led our rehearsal and kept things moving on the day of the wedding. Unexpected things came up (as we were told would) and Rebecca was there to take care of those things so we wouldn’t have to. This allowed us to really enjoy our day and savor each moment. She also made sure that as bride and groom we were more than taken care of (for example, she made sure we got a taste of each hors d’œuvre and signature cocktails). It was amazing just knowing she had our back and we really were able to put our trust in her. Rebecca pulled off the event off flawlessly and we had multiple comments from our wedding party on how impressed they were with her!

I had a great time working as the photographer with Rebecca on a client’s wedding. She had everything under control and her team was incredibly efficient with making sure everything turned on a dime. What stood out more than anything was how easy it was to work with Rebecca. She always checked to make sure I was ready before proceeding with any major part of the day. During the event, we had a blackout right before all the dancing. This would have easily derailed most weddings, but she immediately checked in with the client and went to work organizing a back-​end up generator to be brought in and stayed beyond the intended finish time to make sure that the clients and their guests got some dancing on! It’s easy enough when things go smoothly, but seeing how the coordinator and vendors respond when things don’t go as planned is the best way to recommend someone.

Rebecca made the last two months of wedding planning sane and enjoyable for my wife and me. We had already picked our vendors and just thought we wanted someone to help us on the day of, but Rebecca turned out to be so much more. She went above and beyond by taking over all communication with our many vendors and helping solve last minute problems. She was so awesome on the wedding day, and her team was super efficient while staying behind the scenes.
Good friends of ours hired Rebecca to coordinate their wedding, and now we’re doubly excited to go to that because we know it will come off without a hitch.

Rebecca coordinated our wedding at the Headlands Center for the Arts the weekend of her birthday, which right away shows her dedication and passion for the work she does. She helped us stay on track during our wedding planning as well as fill in the gaps and think of things we wouldn’t have ever thought of! The actual wedding came together better than we could have ever imagined thanks to Rebecca’s expertise and creativity. She had a true understanding of who we are, what we envisioned and added finished touches that brought our wedding to a new level. I attended a friend’s wedding at the Headlands Center for the Arts near Sausalito on 4÷13÷2013. As a former event planner I am critical of every wedding I attend, but I couldn’t find a single glitch. I have never been to a better-​organized or more smoothly-​run wedding.
The event clearly reflected the bridal couple’s personalities and values, so Rebecca gets big points for executing their vision. I also noted the complete lack of stress among the couple and their close friends and family. Usually someone is running around trying to put out fires, but Rebecca saw to it that the couple and their inner circle were free to enjoy themselves. What a gift! In fact, no one was running around — something always goes wrong at a wedding so I have to assume there were problems, but Rebecca handled them calmly and discreetly.
As guests, we were never left confused about what was happening; there was no question about where we should be and when, and no long down time between different elements such as dinner and speeches. Rebecca and her crew were firing on all cylinders.
At the end of the night when I finally inquired after the wedding planner, she didn’t seem frazzled or fazed in the least despite being at the tail-​end of a very long day. I was pleasantly surprised to find that in addition to being great at her job, she’s a genuinely approachable, warm, and humble person. You know you’ve done something right when you’ve earned the admiration of a fellow planner (we’re a discerning bunch), and I can safely say that Rebecca is worth her weight in gold to any Bay-​area couple in need of a wedding planner.

I do not know what we would have done without Rebecca. We intended to handle wedding planning on our own because we wanted a pretty low-​key wedding while keeping a modest budget.

Rebecca was an absolutely terrific wedding coordinator… and a constant source of support throughout the year prior to our big day. Whether meeting us at a flea market to look for a frame for our chalkboard dinner menu or walking us through schedules and vendor possibilities on the phone and in person, her presence was always welcome and her insight always invaluable.
Everyone told us planning a wedding was one of the most crazy-​making experiences one could go through, but we actually found it be pretty serene due to Rebecca’s reassuring, straightforward manner and clear directions, regularly received via phone and email. Rebecca and Be-​hitched helped me plan my mom’s 60^th birthday bash. I was across the country and she kept me completely sane during the planning. She is organized, experienced, thoughtful and creative. What more could you ask for? Everything was wonderful. Among all the other planning and details, she came up with inventive cocktails, she hired marvelous mariachis and she thought about making little gift bags for the kids who were coming which ended up saving us all from some serious breakdowns! She has a great design sense and great ideas for how to create flow at a party. She also manages it all with style and grace. She is easy and kind but also knows how to be very clear and focused about getting things done. The party was a smash. My mom was thrilled and we would hire her again in a second.

Hiring Rebecca was one of the best wedding-​related decisions we made! My husband (!!) and I are both organized people with enthusiastic and involved family members, so we considered not hiring a day-​of-​coordinator at all.
