Sol has been our family mechanic through 10+ years and three locations and he’s always been there for us. This time he stayed open until 6 on Sunday so that I could get my car towed to him and left with him. Other times he’s driven the car to me when I’ve had a difficult time coordinating a ride back from his shop. I’ve always felt he was very honest and skilled. And he always greets me by name when I call and asks about the Honda and our other car and my wife and children by name.

Too bad they don’t offer negative stars.
This was the worst experience I have had with any business ever. Stay away.
Sol replaced my radiator, and left the front left tire bolts loose, which had the tire fall off while i was driving back to meet him as the car felt so bad to drive.
He offered to fix the car, but I had lost my faith in his work, so we agreed I’d have the car fixed elsewhere and he would pay.
Once the repair was complete, he said he couldn’t afford to pay, and that I should put it on my credit card and he would pay the interest.
He then began avoiding all calls.
Over a year later the car wasn’t working and I offered to sell him the car to square up. He picked up the car with the idea of seeing what it needed for him to purchase it, and started working on it without asking, then low balled me on the price, ignoring what he owed me.
He thinks I should pay him for his suspect unauthorized repairs.
I found a cosmetic repair i thought was small enough for him not to mess up. It took him over 5 weeks before I reclaimed the car with the repair unfinished.
The saga goes on, and I have still seen no money from him, and the interest continues to pile up.
He has ceased responding to any calls. Stay away.
I thought you should be warned.
His incompetence as a mechanic is surpassed only by his poor communication and frequency of empty promises. He is well meaning and kind to my face, yet ineffective and avoidant.
