Voice Lessons

Everyone can sing and it is my job to help students sound the way they want to using healthy vocal technique. I teach my students:

–breathing technique

–warm-ups

–ear training

–proper placement

–tone control

–projection and expression

–style and performance

–anatomy

–posture

–basic theory

–vocal health tips

I also use recordings of students singing the songs we are working on in the learning process. Students may decide the level of music theory they learn and are encouraged to take advantage of the various performance opportunities I make available to them depending on the style of music they are learning.

Beginning Piano Lessons

I use the Faber Piano Adventure series of lesson books, which can be purchased at Acme. My students learn:

–music theory

–proper technique & dexterity

–ear training

–reading sheet music & chord charts

–improvisation/composition

–memorization

–basic piano mechanics & history

–games

–curated or student-selected songs

–creativity in musical expression

–music appreciation

One of the most important things about beginning piano lessons is learning how much fun it is to play piano so students continue playing for the rest of their lives.

Lessons are available in-home or at Acme House of Music.
