Description

Specialties

We use visionary design and innovative construction skills to create unique and long term durable landscapes of distinction. With over 30 years of experience, we’ve won many awards for our outstanding work, and have had numerous magazine articles featuring our beautiful projects.

We are hillside landscape experts, specializing in steep slope challenges, as well as working with sites with flatter terrain. Please look at our website for more information, and be sure to review our extensive photo gallery with many pictures of projects done recently, and in the past.

Many if not most of our projects become «neighborhood landmarks», adding greatly to the aesthetic integrity of a neighborhood. We do very high quality work, at reasonable, and affordable cost.

If you’re looking for a special touch in a new landscape, or are interested in revitalizing and upgrading your existing outdoor living spaces, please give us a call!

Meet the Business Owner

Chris H.

Business Owner

Chris was born in Vienna, Austria to parents serving in the Diplomatic Service. He grew up in Mill Valley, California, and, after receiving diplomas at UC Davis, and from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, has been creatively active for many years in Oakland, California.

He combines a love of the outdoors, and wild places, reflected in his naturalistic landscape designs, and also is a musician and composer, managing to squeeze in time to write new music, mostly vocal and choral works, with several commissions, and local performances over the years.

Chris is a strong believer in serving others, and community development, and his company has contributed «pro bono» to many local community projects. They were instrumental in creating an Outdoor Education Classroom featuring a stone amphitheater, done with the Hillcrest School PTA, and designed and built the extensive park and garden at the Gateway Gardens Oakland Firestorm Memorial just northwest of the Caldecott Tunnel.
